*A few minutes ago*
Back in the real world, the city lord could be seen leading the proceedings when suddenly the reconstruct, capsulized bodies started shaking vigorously. Many who witnessed the unorthodox scene so unexpectedly were caught off guard causing them to jump back in fright.
"What's happening!", most asked, hoping for answers, trying to make sense of the situation. Unexpectedly, the answer came in the form of purple gas that rose off the bodies of the deceased. The purple gas seemed to flow out without any resistance, passing through the capsules in which the deceased were kept, before congregating into a single, pill-sized point.
The mania was greedily drawn into that single point making it seem as though some nefarious force was praying upon the people's life energy... granted that was only what it looked like as in actuality, the people were dead; as in, they had now more life energy to be found within them.
Observing this scene, the city lord was put on high alert.
'What's going on now??'
He thought with concern as what they had thought was over had yet to end! Observing the conglomeration of mania finalize, the surrounding cultivators payed close attention to what would happen next only to be left clueless when the pill-sized bead of chaos suddenly flew away at high speeds.
Staring in the direction it went in, things seemed to calm down when a sudden and violent gust of wind blew past the cultivators that had started to relax. What caused that, you ask? Well to put it in a dramatic and a 'in your face', typpa ways, the city lord was on the move! Speeding after that small, purple, dark bead of concentrated chaos, the city lord was determined to find out who was behind all this death and destruction.
'Its fast!' He thought as he saw the chaos bead move further and further away from the main residence of the Star family, inching it's way closed to a populated area. 'I need to find a way to stop it, or else countless more will lose their life!'
Thinking of the consequences of his failure, the city lord was beyond determined to do what he should have done in the first place and protect the city. *Bit harsh on the city lord ngl...*
Taking out several talisman of the same kind, the city lord applied them all onto himself, causing them to shine and resonate with each other, amplifying their effect as well as their brightness. Allowing them to wrap his whole being in a thin film of shiny silver light, making him look holy and untouchable. With that done, he circulated his internal energy to the max, making sure his body was ready for the maximum output of his techniques.
Feeling his body loosen up, his eyes narrowed as he cycled through his movement technique, instantly propelling him forward and allowing his to catch up to the chaos bead in that same breath! He who had already prepared his weapon for an attack, swung his sword with all his might whilst executing his sword technique.
The mindless bead, who's only advantage was speed, was left defenceless. Unwilling taking on that devastating sword strike, while a technique is exclaimed in the background.
Diverging Blade!
As soon as the sword came into contact with the chaos bead, with out a hint of resistance, the bead was sliced into two, before the two halves were halved again; all in the span of a single breath.
The city lord seeing how the chaos bead was so effortlessly cut up into pieces was shocked.
'Why don't I feel as though I've won... Could it be that things haven't ended yet? Are there any other problems I have yet to solve??', looking at the chaos bead that was slowly falling apart, he was plagued with a sense of uncertainty.
'I have to do something about this!'
Deciding on that, he took out a snow-white, silk ribbon with golden inscriptions on it, allowing it to float towards the collapsing chaos bead and wrap around it; sealing it away inside the walls of the ribbon.
Having done that, the city lord felt a bit more secure and was just about to take it into his hands, when suddenly, a loud explosion was heard from inside the white ribbon. Pushed back, the city lord stabilized himself, his eyes wide open in shock.
Simultaneously as this explosion, he had sensed two other explosions one coming from the left and the other coming from the right. Realizing what had happened, a dreadful thought appear in his head as he thought, 'Could it be that the same phenomena had occurred at the other attack sites as well???'
Although it was simply a thought, the validity of it was further solidified with the spreading of the mania gas, in two distant locations.
Thankfully, even though the explosion was powerful, the one that had occurred in front of him had been successfully contained within the confines of the ribbon; making him feel relieved to have used it in the first place.
Storing the ribbon ball inside his spatial ring, he moved towards the closer explosion of the two, only to find out that no one had been infused with the mania gas, all thanks to the quick thinking of the cultivators that had followed the chaos bead that had taken form at their location.
As the mania gas was, as it's name suggested, gas; several of them had simply created qi infused gusts of wind beneath the explosion, redirecting and containing the deadly gas into a single file that reached up, making sure it didn't get scattered by the wind.
Arriving at the site, the city lord floated besides the makeshift qi container before taking out a golden shell the size of a palm before throwing it into the eye of the mania.
Coming into contact with the chaotic gas, the opening on the shell where the snail would have gone, let out an abrupt force of absorption, sucking in all the mania, causing the golden shell to slowly get darker and darker; only for it to have become pitch black in color with a hint of purple, once all the mania had been absorbed into it.
The only damage having been caused, to be the windows of buildings that had been too close to the explosion.
Immediately after, the city lord went towards the other explosion only to find out that one of the cultivators had summoned an ape-like creature before propelling in into the centre of the mania and ordering it to take it all in. Once it had done that, its stomach had swelled up to the size of a miniature hot air balloon, with its eyes growing red due to the pressure that was building up inside its body.
Thankfully, this plan was a thought through one as not long after its stomach slowly decreased in size, the mania slowly infusing into every fibre of its being. And the moment the last bit of the mania was absorbed, the summoner, with a heavy heart, commanded the summoned creature to self-destruct; causing it to explode into a celebration of meat, blood, and bones.
