Han Sen was beyond impressed, after all, his Master had just gained the allegiance of a sentient treasure for over three centuries. That was no small feat!
'He must've calculated everything from the start! From the size of the hole to the show of power, it was all part of his plan... This man is insane!!!'
Due to the image Han Sen had of the main character, let alone the accident, even his mundane actions seemed to be filled with intent and purpose.
Finally ready to leave, the main character looked around one last time just in case he had missed something before leaving. 'There doesn't seem to be any thing of interest left... Atlas, eat them all!'
Finding nothing of note, he commanded the Atlas to devour everything that was left. Why? Well there is a prominent Wuxia line most fitting for this situation, 'A mosquito's leg is still meat.' That was to say that no matter how little qi they had, they still had qi. And as of this moment, qi was the one thing the main character was after!
As if a black hole had appeared within the blinding light of the blade, everything in the room was dismantled and absorbed into the eternal glow. Not even the shelves were left from its gluttony!
Once that was taken care of, bits and pieces of liquefied celestial energy appeared around the main character in a sphere like manner, allowing him to fly out of the entrance, Han Sen following suite.
Finally outside again, the main character whispered something to the Atlas, allowing it to fly away towards the other islands. Seeing this, Han Sen was left wondering what the Atlas could be doing.
Just as he was about to ask his Master, he felt a catastrophic qi fluctuations in one of the floating islands. Celestial energy surged up from within the island into the skies high above, creating a tornado-like effect.
'What's going on??' Han Sen thought as he saw all that energy spurting up out of nowhere... but wait, was it out of nowhere? 'The energy is coming from within the island, so that mean it's coming from the core!!'
Han Sen was dumbfounded as he saw the torrential energy swirling about, causing debries to fly with it. But he was even more shocked when he saw the Atlas high above the island, slowly drawing in the energy and making it its own.
'How much energy can that thing handle?!?! Just sensing its quantity, its well over what is required to destroy the whole of Nine Dragon Sect with just a single energy based attack!'
The core he was referring to was a concentrated lump of energy that maintained the floating islands. As floating islands were formed the same way planets were, mass would gather around them in an iceberg-like manner, eventually forming a floating island.
Now what do you think will happen when the core that held everything together disappeared? Yes, your exactly right! The whole thing would collapse!!
And that was exactly what was happening as large clumps of earth slowly fell into the embrace of the clouds below, forever disappearing into the fluffy oblivion.
It didn't take long for the floating islande be be left bare, revealing an ocean blue crystal that continuously diminished in size. Not long after, the last of the core had been absorbed as wisps of energy by the Atlas.
Once that was done, the sword moved onto the next island, intending to do the same. As time went by, the islands fell one after the other.
On one of the remaining islands, the staff that had been forgotten for sometime now suddenly floated up having sensed the destruction of the other islands. It had been waiting for the main character to retrieve it but unfortunately for it after getting the Atlas, he had completely forgotten about it...
Although it was feeling a little down, it still flew towards its master. When it finally reached him, the main character exhibited a surprised expression as he thought, 'To think I almost forgot about it... I ought to be ashamed!'
Embracing the staff, he tried his best to act normal before he remembered something else he had forgotten.
"Hey, have you seen Yuno?"
The staff acted as if it hadn't heard the mc, obviously it's feelings were hurt. But nevertheless it had to act according to its Master's will. Shacking the main character off, it glowed with a golden hue before disappearing in search of Yuno.
Looked at the golden haze it had left in its trail, the main character thought, 'Maybe I should have told it where I had dropped her off before it left.... ' But thinking about it further, he was pretty confident the staff would be able to find her regardless.
'Surly she won't die due to the Atlas...' He thought with a chuckle, almost as if he was trying to convince himself... His face slowly turning worried before he telepathically commanded the Atlas to save the island Yuno was on for later consumption. Having issued that order, he was left with nothing to do, so he decided to just sit and wait for the staff to bring Yuno and the Atlas to absorb the cores.
On the side, Han Sen watched in shock and enlightenment as he the islands crumble away. He seemed to be reflecting on new ways of destruction while comparing it to how he had handled the earlier attacks.
'If not for the many lucky encounters I've had in my life I wouldn't have had the power to destroy the Sect nor the Sect Master, and I didn't even win against the Sect Master by myself... I know luck is part of the journey but do I relay too much on it???'
He seemed to have a lot of question to which he didn't have the answer to. But that was when he remembered something else, 'If it hadn't been for the souls of my family, constantly being sacrificed to heal my injuries during the battle, I wouldn't even have survived long enough to set up the void array... I really need to get stronger and fast! I don't want to rely on cheap tricks!!'
Steeling his resolve, he turned towards the main character but was, again, shocked by what he saw. Having been left alone for two seconds, he had some how managed to set up a whole buffet of tantalizing delicacies.
At a lose for words he only managed to let out incoherent noises. Ot was just too random to be processed quickly.
The main character seeing his expression, puffed out his chest before saying, "Surprised? Hah, don't be! This is the effect of one of my many treasures. Come, come, sit down and enjoy the meals i have prepared.."
Still in his stupor, Han Sen sat down on one of the futon before picking up a fork and a knife, looking dazed at a plate of stake with roasted potatoes. Smelling the sweet scent of the potatoes and the mouth watering scent of the stake, he swallowed a big gulp of saliva before carefully cutting a small piece of the stake and delivering it into his mouth.
As if his whole life had flashed in front of him, tears accumulated on his eyes. Looking at his Master he was relieved as he too was in tears due to the flavour of the food.
The main character who was also tasting such delicacies for the first time couldn't help but exclaimed how good the food was as he continued to chomp down of the seemingly endless plates of food in front of him.
Having been eating for a while now, Han Sen suddenly sensed a unique energy that nourished his muscles and bones.
'It actually enhancing my body?? What sort of joke is this??!!!'
Even though the enhancements were miniscule, the fact that the food was actually capable of such a feat was completely mind boggling.
'I definitely made the right choice taking him on as my Master!' He thought with a heart filled with gratitude. The two continued eating before they were greeted by the sight of the staff and Yuno.
Yuno could be seen holding onto the staff with one arm, while her other hand held a squirrel. Carefully landing in front of them, she observed the buffet set up with a mouthful of saliva.
But even that didnt distract her from the man that dined with the teen. He had just attacked the Sect but now was dining with the teen like nothing had ever happened? What was going on here? But before she could voice any of her questions, the teen called out to her saying, "Why are you just standing there??? Come over and eat before we finish it!"
