Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Cloudy Mood

"Ahhh... That totally hit the spot. Shaun, you truly make the best meal in Crystalia City." Rohan exclaimed happily as he finished his third bowl of clam ramen and put the chopsticks on top of it. In the meanwhile, Soren and Lavenza were slowly eating their meal as they were watching Rohan wolf down his meal. The two of them didn't have the happiest of expressions since they were a bit worried about Rohan, ever since the conversation from before. Although it wasn't something unusual to see someone having a rocky relationship with an acquaintance, seeing Rohan losing his cool like that, it made Soren and Lavenza feel a bit worried about him.

Just as Rohan was going to order a fourth bowl, Soren decided to speak with a fierce expression:

"Rohan. I know that people can have some rocky relationships with people, but I feel like the conversation from before was similar to a conversation between two mortal enemies. But if you feel like something is bothering you, you can at least talk to someone, be it Matt, your friends or even just some stranger."

"And what are you implying Soren? You know better that this is a topic that doesn't concern you." Rohan answered with an annoyed expression as he was crossing his arms.

"What I am implying is that if you need a good listener, I'm willing to hear you out. Even if you want to keep it bottled up, I'm still willing to wait until you let your emotions out. Everyone has to deal with frustrating stuff on a daily basis, but if you keep up your anger inside you, at some point, it will explode and cause a lot of mayhem, not only for you, but for the people around you as well." Soren answered with a firm and serious expression on his face as he was staring at Rohan.

"Even if you want to listen to my troubles, I have no reason to talk about that. I know you want to help Soren, I truly do, but there are some things I want to handle myself personally, because I started them in the first place, hence I have obligation to finish them by myself. I appreciate the offer for your help, but it's better to take care of it myself." Rohan answered with a calmer expression as he sighed inwardly and was looking at Soren's expression.

In the end, Soren decided to give up on trying to help Rohan. He knew that Rohan wouldn't be able to talk about the conversation at that point, so he could only throw one final sigh before continuing eating his ramen.

After around an hour of sitting while watching Rohan eat and drink while getting to talk with the customers, the trio eventually leaves the stand and get home. Rohan was the first to go straight into the bathroom and while he was going there, Soren decided to put his bag down and sit on the sofa as he sighed with a dissatisfied expression.

"What a day. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it."

"Kyuu~" Lavenza asked curiously as she tilted her head.

"I don't know anymore. I just feel like I have a gray cloud on top of my head and it's literally clouding my judgement. Maybe it's the fact that everything is happening so fast and I just never got the chance to process all of this or maybe it's the fact that Rohan's conversation from before left me in a bad mood." Soren explained slightly depressed before sighing.

"Kyuu~..." Lavenza sighed as well as she remembered what happened before.

"Almost forgot something!" Soren suddenly raised his head as he went to look for a shellphone.

"Kyuu~?" Lavenza asked curiously as she was seeing Soren digging through his bag.

"Remember when I got accepted to train in the Sea Knight's facilities, I was told that I would have to move there in a couple of days before I start training? You also will be starting your magic classes in a couple of days and I don't even know if I'll be able to even escort you to your classes. In that case, I might have to take care of arrangements to have you stay somewhere close to the place for the classes for a little while." Soren answered with a serious expression as he was digging through his bag before taking out the phone.

After taking it out, he also took out a business card that he had put in the bag before and then started pressing the buttons, according to the number on the card.

"Hello, this is Lavena Arkhearts speaking. Your beautiful and enchanting dancer, ready to move my hips to the rhythm of music tand give you an unforgettable experience. How may I help you?" A light, energetic and slightly cute voice was heard from the other side of the phone and left Soren completely surprised.

"Is... Is that you miss Lavena?" Soren asked with a surprised and confused expression.

"Huh? Is that you Soren?" The voice suddenly lost it's high and cute tone and became a bit deeper and more serious.

"Yeah, it's me, but what was... that?"

"Well... It's uh... Just ignore it, alright!?" Laventhign decided to dodge the topic as she shouted angrily.

"..."

"Anyways, what do you want Soren? Is there something you want to change?" Laventhign asked after a few seconds of awkward silence.

"Yeah, uhhh... Is it possible for Lavenza to stay at the church for some time while she learns magic from you?"

"..."

"..."

"Uhhh... miss Laventhign?" Soren asked after a minute or so, as he was waiting for an answer.

...

In the meantime:

"As the god of the seas keeps watching us... We keep your fai-"

"OH YEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF THE CENTURY!!!!" While a sermon was going with hundreds of faithful followers attending as they were listening to the sermon, it was suddenly interrupted by, what it could considered, the loudest cheer that has been ever heard.

...

"Laventhign, are you still there? Hello? Is this thing broken?" Soren kept asking as he was checking the shellphone by turning it around and trying to look for anything suspicious.

"-Ait. Wait. Are you still there?" Laventhign's voice could be heard, but it was rather tired compared to before.

"Did something happen?" Soren asked with a slightly worried voice as he was nervously for an answer.

"No, nothing happened. Anyways, what were we talking about?" Laventhign answered slightly embarrassed while trying to change the topic.

"OK... I asked if it was possible for Lavenza to stay at the church for a little while for her classes?"

"Sure... I have no problem. For how long would you like her to stay?"

"Probably for three or four months? Somewhere around that timeframe." Soren explained with a calm expression.

"Not a problem. She is free to stay here indefinitely if she wants." Laventhign answered happily as she was fantasising about the time she is going to spend with Lavenza.

"Alright... Anyways, I'll be dropping her off tomorrow probably." Soren answered awkwardly as he was starting to feel a bit reluctant to doing this.

"Got it. See you two then."

"Take care." *beep* After closing the call, Soren let out a sigh as he was looking upwards and said expressionlessly:

"I think this call has completely wiped me out mentally and this doesn't help with my couldy mood."
