"Uhhh... Ouch... My head..." Soren started to slowly wake up while feeling his worst injury yet, a horrible headache. If he were to compare the pain of all of his injuries up until now, it is clear that none of them would come close to the headache he was currently experiencing.
As he was looking around the room he was sleeping in, he noticed a couple of things that were out of place. Lavenza wasn't nearby and the red book was on the table for some reason. At that moment, Soren decided to sort through last night's memories, more specifically, his conversation and what happened after that.
His conversation had gone a lot better than he had expected. He wasn't expecting that the end of the world would come, but he was expecting that look of disappointment that would make feel horrible. Contrast to his worries though, nothing actually happened and in reality, Rohan seemed like he took the news without many problems. Although for Soren had his suspicions that Rohan might have known ahead of time, it didn't really matter anymore since the cat was out of the bag and everything is said and done.
After the conversation, he then remembered that he had taken out the red book that he had in his bag and decided to check it out once again, hoping to find something that might have gone unnoticed. Unfortunately, he found nothing of the sort and decided to call it a day and went to rest while leaving the book on the table. Now, ever since he woke up, he was having the worst headache imaginable and he couldn't do much about, aside from taking some medicine and bear with it.
"Lavenza?" Soren called out loudly.
"Kyuu~?" Lavenza then appeared out of the door with some food that was sticking out of her mouth. Soren then threw a sigh of relief and asked:
"Where's Rohan?"
"Kyuu~ Kyuu~." Lavenza pointed with her tail towards the kitchen.
"Got it." Soren nodded and then went into the bathroom to clean himself up and then went to the kitchen to eat. The moment he entered, he saw Rohan wearing an blue apron while holding a spatula and cooking on a pan.
"Need any help?" Soren asked happily as he sneaked right behind Rohan.
"No need Hero. Save your powers and jokes for those who really need them." Rohan answered jokingly as he put the food from the pan on the plate. After that, the two of them sat down on the table and started to eat and as they were eating, Soren then asked:
"Are things alright between us?"
"I don't see any problems so I think we are good." Rohan answered while taking another bite from his breakfast.
"But I was expecting you to get angry or something." Soren retorted slightly flustered while he was grabbing a bite as well.
"Like I said before, being a reincarnator is not as big of a deal as you might have thought. Every four years, the seven races always call upon a dweller from another world and those are the only ones I sure of. So every 60 years, a bit over 100 reincarnators appear and those are the confirmed ones. I don't know of the potentially hidden ones who decided to keep their status hidden. Besides, people only care for the ones that are brought by the countries, not the rogue ones." Rohan explained with a casual expression.
"Alright, I get that, but why do the people only care about the confirmed reincarnators?" Soren asked as he tilted his head to the side.
"Two reasons. One, they are confirmed to be reincarnators and that is something the rogue reincarnators can't copy and two, they have better status than the rogues."
"What do you mean about that?" Soren asked curiously.
"The reincarnators summoned by the countries are handpicked by the gods themselves, so they are guaranteed to come with decent bases, great affinities or powerful special abilities that are exclusive to themselves. Of course the gods give them a little bit of power as well, in the form of a blessing that serves as a shield and as their eyes."
"Their eyes?"
"As far as I know, that allows them to keep an eye on their reincarnators, but I'm not very sure about that." Rohan and as he was rubbing his chin.
"Why not?"
"I'm not very sure, it's just a feeling I had some time ago, but maybe it was just my imagination at the time."
"I see." After Soren answered, the two of them continued eating silently while Lavenza was just swimming around with a bored expression on her face. As the two of them were eating, Rohan took out the blue crystal that was on a shelf and activated it.
"... as for today's forecast, the seas north of..." A male voice came out of the blue crystal and Soren realised that it was the Crystalia Network crystal that was set on the CNC channel. The news themselves were mostly lackluster and uninteresting, with the majority of them talking about politics between agreements between nobles or talking about celebrity gossip. He did hear the occasional news about the Longinus household or the Temple, but there was nothing noteworthy for now.
After a little while, the two of them finished their breakfast and then Rohan left first due to some business to take care off. He didn't tell him what that business might be, but he could always ask later about that. As for what to do now though, he had no clue. He could accept missions and start working on them, but after that rank up quest, he decided to take an actual break to kick back and relax for a couple of days without any obligations to do.
After sitting for around ten minutes or so, he felt bored and decided to go out for a stroll with Lavenza. After putting the book in the bag, wearing some casual clothes that he had and his old helmet, the two of them left Rohan's house. The streets were a bit emptier than usual, considering the fact that he woke up later than usual, but he didn't find it weird since it could be just a day where not many had any jobs to do. For his first course of action, he decided to look for a hat that would cover most, if not all of his hair, because having to wear a helmet is rather uncomfortable especially when you want to relax.
After spending around half an hour looking at shops, he found a clothing shop that sold a hat that fit his requirements. The hat that he bought was a dark blue beanie hat and once he bought it, he put it on immediately while being in one of the back alleys and put his helmet in the bag. Now that he was wearing casual and comfortable clothes, he finally got the chance to explore Crystalia City at his own leisure.
The next three to four hours were spent looking around the alleys and the main roads and while doing so, Soren kept mental notes of various shops and landmarks. His most important landmark would have to be Crystaline Plaza, which was located in the middle of the city and served as a crossroads of sorts for the main areas of Crystalia City.
As he was resting in Crystaline Plaza, he saw a woman with blue hair, green eyes, a shiny blue tail and was wearing dancer's clothes which came with a veil to cover her face. From the hairstyle and the parts of the face that could be shown, Soren saw that it was actually Laventhign, but he wondered the reason she was there and making a public performance like that.
As he was getting closer to her, he started to hear the cheers from the people who were watching her beautiful dance.
"Go! Go! Go!"
"Beautiful, so much beauty."
"Nice moves, Lavena."
"Marry me please!"
Although the cheers were a bit loud, the part that caught Soren's attention was the fact that one of her fans called her Lavena, instead of Laventhign. Soren wondered if she was using an alias while she was off duty, but he figured out that there would be no way she would be using her actual name for this kind of stuff.
After getting close to her, he decided to wait for her to finish her performance and while doing so, Lavenza was fascinated by Laventhign's elegant dance and once she finished her dance, all the onlookers broke into cheers and screams while applauding for her performance. Soren and Lavenza were also applauding her performance.
"Thank you for sticking around seeing my performance. Let's meet again everyone in the next week, same time, same day." Laventhign spoke happily as she waved her hand and prepared to leave.
"Thank you Lavena."
"You were amazing."
"Marry me please."
After that, the crowd had dispersed while Laventhign was preparing to leave while picking up her stuff that she used for her performance.
"What brings you here, miss Lavena?" Siren asked as he was looking at her with a smug expression.
The moment Laventhign heard Soren's voice, she became slightly nervous and slowly turned towards Soren's way and asked:
"Uhhh... Do I know young man?"
"Didn't think your hobby would be public performances with such a beautiful outfit." Soren answered with a happy expression on his face.
"I d-don't s-see any problems with that." Laventhign answered nervously while hoping that the worst thing that she was thinking, wasn't going to happen.
"Fine, I wonder then what kind of reaction will Tobias have, once he-" At that moment, Laventhign then forcefully covered Soren's mouth and looked at him with a serious expression and asked with a low but furious voice:
"You seem to have a death wish, you little brat. Don't even think of mentioning this anywhere."
'Yup, this is definitely her." Soren thought to himself while he was feeling under pressure.
