Disclaimer: This follows the second version of chapter 35, so for those who read the first version, this starting part might feel a bit like a slog, considering that you already know the twist from the first version, but I would still suggest to read the end of chapter 35 so it give you a bit more of an idea. Sorry for this kind of inconvinience and enjoy the rest of the chapter.
Lavenza was waiting on top the castle for Soren to return after rescuing the child and then leaving, but after around 20 or so, she ran out of patience and decided to search for Soren. Swimming alone in the dark halls, this action gave Lavenza the chills, since she didn't want to do this in the first place, but she was still worried for Soren and wanted to know about his condition. After some time a teenager's voice was heard:
"Heeeeeeelp! Aaaaa! Aaaa! Help me!"
"Reny~!" Lavenza said out with a shocked expression. She realised that Soren was being chased again by the crab and she had to help him escape. After that, she swam as fast as she could, towards Soren's voice. The moment she reached to the location where Soren's voice was heard, she saw him on the ground with the crab on top of him.
"Kyuu~!" After she saw that, she saw red decided to throw a powerful Water Ball towards the crab.
"Kiiiiiiiiiii-!" A loud screech was heard from the crab and the moment it turned towards the direction the attack came from, it saw a small eel that tried to interupt it. At that moment, it saw red and decided to answer back with a water ball of its own. Lavenza seeing that the crab was starting an attack, decided to attack with a water ball as well.
"Kyuu~!"
"Kiiiiihiii-!"
In the next moment, both of them threw the Water Ball spells with all of their force and collided with each other. The moment the spells hit each other, they exploded and created a strong shockwave that pushed both Lavenza and the crab, away from the shockwave. After seeing that first exchange, the two of them decided to charge another attack, but just as they were getting ready to so it, Soren suddenly got up and went in the middle of the two and yelled:
"STOOOOOOP! BOTH OF YOU!"
The moment Soren said that, both Lavenza and the crab stopped charging their attacks and put their eyes on Soren.
"Look guys. Before you jump into conclusions, how about you let me explain the situation, before this fort collapses with the three of us on the bottom. Because, I don't know about you, but if the ceiling falls on us, I doubt we would be able to survive it. So for now, let's leave, how about it?" Soren said seriously.
Both of them saw towards Soren and realised that Soren was right. He knew what was going on fully, but he didn't want to explain while they were in danger of being buried under a lot of debris.
"Kyuu~..."
"Kiiii-..."
Both of them agreed with Soren's suggestion and decided to leave from the fort. While they were leaving, Soren noticed the old notebook with the three entries and wondered the reason of it lying on the first floor, since the last time he saw that book, it was in the meeting room of the third floor, before his fight. After the fight, the book had disappeared and now it was found on the first floor, probably after getting thrown here from the fight, Soren assumed. After finding it, Soren felt like it was a waste for the book to be thrown away and he did want to check on some things with some of the entries with Laventhign whenever he got the chance, so in the end, he picked it up and threw it in the bag.
Now that Soren, Lavenza and the Geis Crab were outside the fort, Soren decided to be the one to speak:
"So, now that we are outside, both of you have some questions, such as "who is that sea creature supposed to be?" or the entire misunderstanding of your first meeting, with Lavenza assuming that Geis was probably eating me and Geis being offended by Lavenza because of a sudden attack, am I right?"
After Soren said that, both of them nodded.
'At least this will be easy to fix, hopefully.' Soren thought to himself after feeling a bit relieved that this misunderstanding was the only problem to deal with.
"Alright, then for starters, let's start with the "How did we get here?" problem. For starters, you should habe already noticed Lavenza, but the Geis Crab is not hostile. In reality, he is actually friendly and quite the rascal if I may add. Also, the voice of the kid that I heard before, turns out it was him. As for how I figured that out, it was actually by process of elimiation. If it was an actual kid, it wouldn't have such a clear voice, despite the fact that the voice was on the verge of tears. Also, we would have noticed it, if there were any people inside the fort, but due to the fact that very few knew of its existance in the first place, I wouldn't have to worry about that, since aside from Rohan and Matt that we shared that information with and assuming that no one was chasing the Geis Crab, then there shouldn't be another soul nearby, with exception of the beasts but I won't count those." Soren fully explained the situation from before.
"Kyuu~. Kyuu~ kyuu~ Reny~?" Lavenza understood all of it, but she still had a few questions.
"Kiiiiiiii-?" The Geis Crab pointed at Lavenza.
"Alright, alright, I'll explain that as well guys, but before we do that. First, system is it possible to share passive abilities?"
[Only through a party. To create a party, you just need to think of the members that you want to invite and a name.]
After that quick explaination, Soren then thought about the name and the members of the party. Both Lavenza and the Geis Crab saw Soren just standing and staring blankly for a few moments before they got a noticication:
[The party "The Breakfast Bunch" has invited you. Do you accept?]
[Yes] [No]
The moment the two of them saw that, they were suprised by the interface, but they decided to accept since the knew who was the one to invite them.
After Soren saw that his party had two members, he put one skill into "Shared Mode" and all the others into "Personal Mode". The shared skill was actually Soren's Universal Translation and Soren's plan was to make the conversation easier by having everyone speak the same language.
"Better now guys?" Soren was the one to speak first.
"I mean, I'm not sure if this would work or not." A young boy's voice came out of Geis Crab.
"Kyuu~..." Lavenza still had the same pattern of speech, but she could understand what the Geis crab was saying now.
"Wait, can the little eel speak?" The crab asked.
"She is an infant, do you really expect infants to speak a language that has all kinds of words and meanings, grammar, tenses and other stuff? At least be glad that she can fully understand the things we are saying right now." Soren said a bit angrily.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to offend you." The crab sounded apologetic.
"It's alright. I was stating the facts anyways. Anyways, let us continue the conversation from before." Soren said seriously.
"Now, let me explain the situation before the attack. And to tell the truth, there isn't much to explain. After realising that this guy was friendly, I asked him if he was the voice that I heard and then-"
"NO! DON'T SAY IT! NO! STOP!" The Geis Crab screamed loudly to prevent Soren from continuing his sentence.
"Please don't. I don't anyone to hear that. Even if it is an infant." The crab added while sounding embarassed.
"Oh... I see. Anyways, that scene that you saw before Lavenza was actually just an embarassing moment for him and you probably assumed that I was being eaten or something similar and threw that Water Ball after seeing me down on the ground, isn't that right Lavenza?" Soren asked normally.
"Kyuu~..." Lavenza then put her tail on her head like she was feeling guilty.
"It's alright, I would do the same thing if I saw you like that on the ground with a similar situation like mine." Soren tried to comfort Lavenza.
"Now though, there is still one final thing that I would like to clarify, but the problem is that I have no information about that and until that person opens his mouth, I can't explain anything else." Soren said seriously before he set his eyes on the Geis Crab.
"Uhhh... Why are you staring me so weirdly?" The crab asked a bit scared.
"Well, you were the one who started this entire mess by chasing us throughout the entire forest, so have the obligation to explain us the reason for this entire mess." Soren said seriously.
The Geis Crab was a bit intimidated by Soren's look on him and decided to say:
"Well... I actually needed your help."
