Chapter 3 - Chapter 2, new dimension

Not expecting a reply, the single soul in the infinite void stared at the hologram in shock. "What are you?' she asked, her voice now laced with curiosity as she reached out to touch the blue hologram.

I'll be your other worldly companion who will guide you in this new world!

"So I really am going to another world. Gosh this sounds like all the korean manhwa i used to read back at the camp. How cliche," The pink haired beauty thought aloud as she let out a small chuckle. That chuckle made her heart flutter slightly, as her lips turned into a curve upwards. It really has been a while since she last smiled. It felt nice.

"Say system, do you have a name? It would feel rather weird to call my only companion System." she uttered aloud with curiosity, wanting to find out more about her new companion.

~

I thought you would never ask!

My name is Ren :)

~

"Well, nice to meet you Ren! May I ask where we are now?"

~

We are currently in the dimensional void.

Although, you won't be here for very long.

As a matter of fact, I will be transporting you to your new dimension right now!

~

"Wait, Ren-" the pink haired started, her sentence cut off as she suddenly felt giddy and closed her eyes.

Light.

That was all she could see.

After her eyes adjusted to the new lighting present in the room, she squinted her eyes once more as she observed her surroundings. Her crystile blue eyes soaked in the new scene around her with her mouth agape.

This place was simply magnificent!

As it seems, she was seated on a rather comfortable bed. A bed that was soft and warm, making her feel like she was being embraced by the sheets, making her never want to leave this bed. Reluctantly, she stood up as curiosity got the best of her to explore this beautiful room.

It's walls were painted a beautiful baby blue, making the room itself give off a sweet and calming atmosphere. There was a small desk at her left, which seemed to have stacks of paperwork and files on it. Beside it was an oak bookshelf that was filled to the brim with a beautiful colour of books. To her right was an expensive looking wardrobe, painted gracefully with white and gold swirls. Beside that wadorabe was a window which looked out to a beautiful scenery. It overlooks a garden. A garden where the trees looked lush and well taken care of and the flowers looked healthy and graceful, all presenting a different array of colours. In the centre of it all was the very bed she was previously seated on. The bed was surrounded by a golden bed frame, which had bed posts which pointed upwards to make a curve at the top, making the bed look even more priceless than before. The bed sheets itself were a tint of royal blue, she noticed.

"Should my memory serve, the previous main character was quite a fan of blue."

Just then, the knock of her door resounded around the room. She quickly turned her head to the source of the sound, her cotton candy pink hair flowing behind her as she quickly returned to her bed as if she had just awoken from her slumber.

"Come in" She said, as gently as she could, making her mind just moments before to act as the original protagonist. Least, someone gets suspicious of her change in behaviour. "The best course of action would be to ease the people around me into a gradual change of my behaviour. I would feel rather sick having to act like this for the rest of my stay here." She thought to herself.

Ah. I might have forgotten to mention. Rho von Cresstess, someone who was known as the strongest and most powerful general, had a personality the opposite of the original main character.

For she was someone who was outspoken, someone constantly suspicious of others, someone who was impulsive by nature and someone who was previously deemed by her enemies as a psychopath. Something that she had long acknowledged after having long grown numb to guilt. Yet, the original main character was a sweet and pure soul, someone who would never lift a finger to hurt anyone and was someone who would listen and not question. She was someone who was nice to everyone and looked for the good in everyone.

And this was something that Rho would never understand. After seeing so many of her men killed and slaughtered, what would she get in return should she try to look for the good in her enemy? For hesitating before killing? Nothing. She would only get killed in return for pitying them.

At least, this was her mindset. This was how she was taught as a child, having lost her parents at a young age to the war and joining the army for revenge.
