I swallow back the vile that's burning it's way up along the edge of my throat.
"Ugh!" I groan inwardly whilst gathering up my books from the table and holding them protectively against my chest.
"hold up, babe!"
That Familiar deep, husky voice sounds from behind me again, moaning I burrow my face into the high neckline of my tank, wordlessly I pick up my pace, feigning indifference, pretending not to hear him.
I know he's following me.
Not only from the slight vibrations of the ground caused by the heavy thumping of his feet but from the burning hot sensation running sensually up and down a circuit of my body.
I'm all but melting under the intensity, like a ice cream submitting to the brutal summer sun.
Distracted and a little disorientated I push through the doors leading from the overly warm, buzzing cafeteria to the slightly cooler courtyard, I begin relaxing my stride when I see the entrance of the biology labs only a few More yards ahead of me, more than ready to lose myself in the exciting world of biology.
Assuming I lost Hunter back in the sea of students leaving the cafeteria I allowed myself to fall into a leisurely stride and a distracted state of oblivion knotted in the insanity that had already happened today, the world around me blissfully fading away as my hand makes contact with the smooth steel handle pulling it open only to find that it won't budge.
"Why'd you run off?" Hunter's cool breath tickles my ear.
He's standing so close behind me that his body heat is scorching me through both sets of our clothing making my skin tingle, I notice his large tan hand resting against the door successfully holding it closed, which explains why I couldn't open it.
I involuntarily shiver as his cool minty breath skims along the exposed skin at the nape of my neck, "Hunter. . ." I breathe, then clear my throat, "what do you want?" I hiss easing myself closer to the door and further away from Hunter.
His deep chuckle alerted me that he knew exactly what I was trying to do, so to my frustration he leant forward a bit, coming close enough into my body that his lips just grazed against the outer shell of my ear.
"Don't be mad, cupcake." He whispered seductively, I jerked away from the connection of his skin against mine.
I felt as if sparks of electricity were flooding through my body and that every inch of me had been transformed into an active live wire, I laugh off his accusation, "I'm not mad, muffin. Now get hell off me!" I growl.
Another barely there chuckle vibrated through my back, Hunter paused for a moment before trailing his fingers down my bare arms, awakening every cell and nerve in his path, then after an eternity, finally dropping his hands and giving me some much needed distance.
With my breathing slightly laboured, I refused to give him any chance to speak, i yank open the door and retreated to the safety of my class's lab.
I give silent thanks that I made it here mostly in one piece.
My bio-chem partner Jeremy walks into the room. "Hey, chickie!" He grins down at me.
I offer him a small smile in return, he seems to understand that I'm not really in the mood for conversation, he leaves me to my thoughts, in favor of organising today's practical.
I'm distracted throughout the whole period, thinking about what happened with Hunter, I don't even have time to notice when I accidentally over pour the hydraulic acid into my test tube instantly causing a foul smelling, toxic foam to form and rise towards the top of the test tube.
I hurriedly drop it before any of the liquid can reach my hand, I stare down at the ground where the puddle continues to expand.
"Everybody, please leave your things and exit the room! Everybody out! Hurry!" Our professor yells, frantically.
I couldn't believe my carelessness, I just wanted this day to end.
