Arcin opens her's eyes to find that it was already morning early morning but morning none the less. Forcing her body up from the bed she say Saisako lying next to her causing her to smile slightly. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed she got up she was in the clothing that she put on before meeting Fulgur. She goes over the the table and see the Staff of Animus lying there, she grabbed it with out much thought placing it in the holder on her back.
She then grabs her cloak and clipped it around her neck leaving the hood down pulling her hair out from under it. She then put on her shoes and went over to the bed and picked up Saisako placing her in the hood of her cloak. With that done she left the room with little worry going down the elevator and leaving from the.
Arcin looked up at the dark blue sky as she stepped outside before going to her SHI bracelet she was about to looked for directions to the Library when her she realized that she hadn't eaten. 'I'm not really hungry at the moment but let's go get something to eat for breakfast before I hit the books all day.' Arcin decided. "Wait I don't think I have any money." she muttered realizing that fact.
[If you are hungry go eat you have money you can use… but I suggest not relying on that money for to long.]
"Right is it with the SHI how I pay?"
[Yes.]
"Oh so then is guess this worlds X-Telelet is just a very advanced version of the Fruit Watch."
[Correct the SHI has every feature plus a few more bonuses, but lacks the ability to communicate with others with an X-Telelet.]
"Hmm… so the X-Telelet is a common item, just has added features and stuff to make it an Indagtor."
[Yes Indagtor have a special version. That allows them to access dungeons and certain restricted area's.]
Arcin just hummed as she walked off from the Guild Hotel. Arcin's black cloak made a few people looking over at her but she ignored their eyes as she looked around for a place to eat. As she walked around the city looking at things offered here, she saw some clothing stores, apothecary, books, blacksmith, office buildings, jewelry, electronics, magic items, and a few other stores.
Eventually Arcin found a few restaurants and bar's but most of them were not open. Eventually she managed to find a restaurant that served breakfast she entered the establishment and went to a table outside. She got a few different things more just to try out than anything.
Arcin got something similar to a stack of 4 buttermilk pancakes with syrup, 4 strips of bacon, 2 pieces of toast with jam, scrambled eggs, a long with a onion, cheese, bacon omelet, with a large glass of juice and fruit tea. It was a large breakfast but Arcin really wanted to try the food of this world. She also reasoned that since she hadn't eaten for a few days this should suffice.
She drizzled the syrup over the pancakes and let it sit for a moment as she spread the jam on the pieces of toast. 'Many of the names sounded slightly different from what they are in Terra but this looks like a typical large breakfast. I'm a little wary cause it might taste a little odd but I'm also excited to try it.' Arcin thought as she cut up the pancakes and stabbed it with her fork and placed it in her mouth and wash absolutely delighted by the taste. 'Mmm the breakfast is very good, I feel as if I'm eat at a 5 star restaurant with high class ingredients back on Terra. Ah so good.' She hummed with a pleased look letting her foodie tendencies show a little on her face.
She looked like a kid in a candy store eyes glistening as she looked down as her plate. She begun to quickly sample each thing she had in front of her and wore a bright smile as she place her hand on her face humming a pleased tone. 'It tastes different from Terra food but its such a pleasant surprise. They must use fresh ingredients to have such flavour not to mention how it though different taste so good!' She exclaimed. 'I got to try everything from this world its only right. After all I have to experience this world culture. Ah I'm so pleased I get to do what I was hoping to do with the trip around the world. I'll also get to draw never before scenes though landscapes are not my forte when drawing… I might just also want to take pictures of things.'
Arcin ate many things in front of her at a slightly quick pace out of excitement and enjoyment. When she got nearly half way she realizing though she could taste the food she didn't feel hungry in the slightest, nor did she feel like she was getting full. Though she could feel some energy when eating it wasn't the same feeling she got before. Normally she would be full at this point she was expecting it and was planning to give what was left to Saisako as a pleasant treat for protecting her.
'… Do I no longer need to eat or something? Hmmm, I didn't feel hungry after not eating for a few days nor was I dehydrated either. This is something I might have to look into… but if that truly is the case I'll only have to eat for enjoyment now. That lovely as the same time a little sad cause that means I won't eat as much so less time to try out foods, but I think I'll at least be able to eat as much as I want and not get fat or bloated which is a bonus for sure.' She thought looking down at her plate.
Arcin felt movement in her hood and hear a light bark and a pair of paws placed on her shoulders she looked behind her. "Hello Saisako. Did you have a good sleep? I just went out for some breakfast. Would you like share what I have left?" She asked Saisako replied with a slight bark.
Arcin raised her hand and a waiter came over, "is everything alright miss?" the waiter asked her.
"Yes everything is perfectly fine I was just wondering if you could get me another plate?"
"Of course miss."
The waiter was quick and brought Arcin another plate in a few minutes after getting the second plate she broke what was left on her plates in half and transferred it to the second plate and placing it on the ground. She let Saisako out of her hood and to the floor next to the plate and quickly begun to eat. Arcin looked at Saisako with a pleased skilled seeing her tail wag indicating her pleasure getting to eat the food.
Arcin then noticed movement at the corner of her eyes and realized the park that was across for the restaurant was filled with young children playing games together they all had their backpacks together in a group in the park, making her realize this was actually a group of students playing.
Arcin looked over with a slight smile it caused her to remember her days as a student waking up very early. 'It feel like it was so long ago now but it was only 2 years since I was last in school.' She thought with a slight smile closing her eyes.
Arcin could picture herself back when she was in university it was only a few years after her father died and she was hiding the pain she felt with burying herself deeper in her feelings for Derrick. Her smile turned somber 'could what happen been all apart of there plan? Did Derrick now about it.' she thought letting out a slight sigh. 'No there is no use pointing figures at this moment I need to collect evidence of this first. If I let them know I'm aware too soon they will begin to dispose of the evidence… Ironically my death has helped me more than letting me live… cause I can take advantage of this.'
Arcin opened her eyes again when she heard the children in the park greet the teacher. "Hello young ones are you all excited? Today we are going to learn the basics of magic. I know a few of you are very excited for this lesson so you all best listen closely as magic itself can be very dangerous if done incorrectly." The teacher exclaimed her voice was enthusiastic.
'She must be fairly new or people here are not nearly as 'blood thirsty' causing hell to authority figures and such.' Arcin thought as she placed a fork with a 2 pieces of pancakes on it with syrup into her mouth humming slightly with enjoyment.
"Teacher is there a reason we had to do this so early?"
"Yes cause the flow of mana is much stronger between the transition of night and day. This will make it much easier for those of you able to use magic to us it for the first time. After you get the hang on it you will be able to cast at any time."
Arcin propped her arm against the table and looked over at group in the park about to start their magic lesson. 'I really should listen to this. I have no idea how to cast magic, which isn't good since using it will make me a much tougher opponent in a fight.' She thought as she took a bite out of the eggs.
