Chapter 19 - Another Sighting of the Solit

By the time she arrives, it was a few hours till roll would be called. She placed her feet down onto the ground tapping her metal leg on the ground a little. 'What should I do now?' Avalon pondered. She looked around there was no one around, there were two people on guard however she knew they couldn't see her. [There is sometime before I'll return to my body in this world. There is not much I can really do in this body since there is little point… and there are none of the things I like to do in my past life near either… aside from singing. Sigh.] Avalon sighed spinning around a little looking up at the full moon. As she looked at the moon.

Avalon looking up at the moon had a look of melancholy on her face. She reached up her hand slightly as if trying to touch the moon. She closed her hand slightly her eyes glistening slightly. She had a slight sense of guilt over a few different things, she often thought of them on these long nights. Ava closed her eyes and brought her hands to her chest, then slowly she opened her mouth and begun to sing. It was the first time she's actually heard her original voice in years.

'Though I may be the only person to hear this song. I want to sing it… a song which doesn't exist in this world.' Avalon thought as she sang. The words were in an old language that was pretty much dead since no one speaks it anymore, though in this world it was a language that didn't even exist. She removed her hands from her chest and spread them out as she opened her eyes revealing her slightly shining eyes. When she finished the song she lowered her hands and closed her mouth.

Avalon frowned a little remembering what this song meant to her and many others from her original world. Her eyes trembled slightly but she closed them as if to stop herself from potentially crying. For Avalon, it's been 22 years but this song and that day will forever be ingrained in her. She shook her head slightly, she walked over to the familiar training course and equipment, before she jumped. She landed on top of the beam and begun to walk across it.

She walked the course steadily balancing on things as she walked along. Ava jumped from obstacle to obstacle moving with ease, she mainly did this to pass the time. She then felt as if someone was looking in this direction which caused her to spin around quickly on the bar and cause her to lose balance. [Whoah!] Avalon gasped as she fell from the pull-up bar she was balancing on and fell to the ground making a slight thud causing some dirt to get kicked up. [That would have hurt.] She muttered as she pushed herself up from the ground.

Avalon then noticed it was training instructor. 'He's probably inspecting the equipment after what happened last time. He probably heard the squeaking of the bar.' She concluded noticing his look of confusion as he looks right where she was. She waved her hands but he didn't react at all. She got up to her feet and walked up to the instructor sticking her tongue out making some weird faces as well but got no reaction.

"That was odd." Col Snow muttered scratching his head. His hand passed through her arm causing Avalon to make a slightly displeased faced since she didn't like when that happened. "Burr… what's with the cold chill."

Avalon then waved her hand causing a gust of wind to blow by causing him to shiver. Before he continued walking. [Whelp he defiantly can't see me. Shane's right there is something special about the captain. Makes me want to find out.] Avalon muttered crossing her arms.

Avalon looked up at the sky and noticed the sun was close to raising. An alarm was sounded informing the people of the s.o.f unit to come to line up. A second one would be sounded in about 5 minutes or so for the trainees, it's not to give the trainees time rather so the instructor could give those of the unit instructions for their training, However, Ava was unsure if that would be enough time but she just had to wait and see.

Avalon watched as a group of men arrived at the field and lined up. She knew these were the ones that were firing at her and the others the first day. She tilted her head slightly looking at the group of men line up. 'Getting the chance to see these guys I can kinda see her point a little… but not that much. Then again she loved men that were fit. I'm not one for muscle brain's though, and would rather more. Then again I can't say I ever found someone that I really liked.' Avalon muttered with her arms crossed, before letting out a slight laugh at the thought.

Avalon walked around them looking at each guy individually with curiosity. To her, they definitely looked more fit than those of the 13th. There were no women here which was of no surprise to Avalon who was well aware of the situation in this country. It was only about 50 years ago that women were even allowed to join the army after a certain woman joined under the gaze of a man. She wasn't sure of the name of the person as she didn't care all that much the time she was learning all this, but females in the army are still fairly new so there are only a few platoons and units made up of women solider's. No special op units, or even mixed camps… which would not be impossible. But Avalon didn't care that much to try and make things 100% equal as she didn't really care too much for the army anyway so why would she help this countries army to get more capable people.

As Avalon was thinking she noticed on solider who she'd guess was about 3 years older than what her body is (the guys looks to be 29), occasionally looking over in her direction squinting slightly. 'Oooh? How interesting. This world surprises me sometimes…' Avalon laughed raising an eyebrow slightly. However, it was clear no one else in the group could see her like this.

Avalon smiled slightly before waving her left hand slightly noticing his eyes taking her hand. [My my my. This is the second person this year. In this camp as well… it also most makes me think that esper's and sensitives are not that rare as they were in my world.] Avalon laughed, and not long after that the men were dismissed. A few men walked through Avalon's arm and flowing parts of her dress which she disliked. That man then walked over to her and looked at her with a slightly confused expression.

"What is going on?" he muttered.

[Hello to you as well.]

"You can talk?!"

[I'd suggest you keep your voice down. You are the only one out of this group here that can see me.]

"… are you a ghost?"

[Not exactly though I am in that realm of the world. So let me ask you this. Do you regularly see ghosts and the like? Or is this the first time.]

"… of course not."

[I see. Worry not you are not going crazy or anything I really exist… though not on the living plan of existence. I'm what's called a Solit… a being that is a soul that has before more like a spirit that serves those higher. I can only be seen/heard by two types of people naturally sensitive's and a unique group I'll refrain from naming. You are the later half by the way. Anyways you don't need to worry, so you should hurry up or you'll be left behind.]

"Will I see you again?"

[Maybe hard to say.] Avalon replied with a wave before walking off.
