During this time Antonio was stalling Avalon uses her physic ability to move her desk in front of the door. She sat on the desk swinging her legs slightly as she listened to the conversation. [Antonio] Avalon muttered in a low tone very similar to how she sounds when she was acting as Roan.
Antonio turned his head towards the door hearing Avalon's voice. However, Lukas also turned his head to the door.
Lukas made his way towards the door and begun to knock on the door. "2Lt Liman!" Lukas exclaimed. Avalon stopped swinging her legs and paused she hesitated to say anything. "I know you are in there I just heard you." he growled clearly annoyed.
'H-he just heard me?! What… is he a sensitive… or… no way. He's got to be sensitive. I would he be able to hear me otherwise if that was the case.' Avalon thought clenching her fists.
[S-Sir. I-I'm not really feeling that great. If you wish to punishment for knocking out Fischer could you please do such tomorrow?] Avalon trying her best to mimic her Roan voice said.
Lukas smirked in surprise, "so you were the one that did that then."
[Yes captain it was me, so there is no need to punish Padilla as well he tried to stop me that's all he did during the whole thing.]
"Roan!"
[Antonio you don't need to protect me. I know you are worried about my family finding out but I'll be fine.]
'His family… he avoids talking about them apparently.' Lukas recalled what he's heard from his men. "I'll decide later what will happen… actually starting tomorrow Liman you won't be training with the rest of the group."
[Ah?! I-I see.]
"Not going to fight it?"
[If that is my punishment for hitting someone of higher rank I will accept it without complaint.] Avalon sighed as she leaned forward balancing herself on the edge of the desk.
"I see. Well, you will be training personally with me from now on."
Avalon fell off her desk with a thud. [I-is that so sir. This is a little unexpected.]
"Well you are holding out are you not?"
[Ugh. I can't entirely deny that. Though we are comrades. The other recruits and I are fighting with one another for a spot on the unit. Unlike Antonio, I am at a slight disadvantage. So using slightly underhand tricks to make them think less of me are needed as they will if we are to every fight for placement.]
"I see you've planned things out. But I must ask why are you so bent on joining the Onyx Wolves special operative force unit? Is it glory, to climb the ranks to reach heights like others in your family?"
[… honestly. I'm just bored with the 13th unit. I've said it before that me joining the military was not entirely by choice. Aside from my twin brother Shane, I don't have a good relationship with my family. I want to cut all my ties to my family… however they won't let me. So I made a deal, I would follow the male tradition of the Liman family for a few years joining the military and such.
After that, I would have nothing to do with them Shane not included in that. They placed me in the 13th unit to try and make me back out of the deal. Well, actually I wasn't placed in the 13th originally back a more... dangerous unit. However, there is no real set time to end date but I was planning on retiring from service when I turn 30.]
"How old are you now?"
[26.]
"So you'd rather fight life or death battle than stay safe in the 13th?"
[Yes. I do not fear death… and aside from sleeping, there wasn't much to do at the 13th unit. I was getting quite bored.]
"And I assume you plan on following him?"
"Yes sir."
"I see. The two of you have defiantly caught my interest." Lukas muttered glancing at the two of them. 'I have a feeling that Shane might be quite right about this. I have a feeling things will be quite interesting with the two of them around.' he thought.
"Padilla you can leave now you are dismissed." Lukas sighed but Antonio looked at the door with concern. "I'm not going to take him anywhere. You can go."
[Antonio. It's alright… we can trust the captain.]
"Sigh… alright. Since he believes in you I'll trust you."
Lukas sent a glance at Antonio. "He's very cautious."
[That's normal for people from Keyne's especially with someone from the military.]
Lukas was a little surprised at that comment but didn't say anything about it.
"About that fight. Do you have any injuries?"
[Nothing serious just a split lip.]
"Really I saw you and Padilla earlier you were very pale."
[Ah… it's nothing to worry about it will pass. I'll be alright by tomorrow I can promise you that. I... I just over excreted myself that's all I'll be better tomorrow.]
Avalon still slightly cautious sat back onto the desk that was blocking the door. She wanted to look at Lukas's expression as this was defiantly an odd situation and so far all she's seen from him is a neutral expression. Though she wasn't any better if she wasn't wearing a fake smile she normally wore a neutral expression as well. She was teetering on her knees really wanting to look at the man talking with her through the door.
But suddenly her thoughts came back to the events from earlier. She knew that was quite the common opinion of people, especially for those outside of Keyne. She suddenly wanted to know what the captain thought.
"About that punishment—"
[Sir can I ask you something?]
"… what is it?"
[Have you ever been to Keyne before?]
"I have not."
[Then you defiantly wouldn't understand why I got so upset. No one knows what's going on there but locals. Sir… do you think the same as Fischer then?] Avalon asked her tone was a little weak and held some sadness as she thought he thought that way like most people did.
"I might not entirely understand as I'm not you. But I can sympathize with you, you obviously consider that place you're home that you care for." Lukas them paused for a moment feeling a slight stir of energy from behind the door for a moment. "But I don't think the same as Fischer. No place deserves to be purged."
[Thank you.]
Lukas paused for a moment realizing that Avalon's voice sounded very different there. [… I hate hearing someone suggest a purge. It's not a light thing. You've probably never witnessed a purge before… but I have. It's terrifying.] Avalon said her voice trembling slightly as she leaned against the door.
"Why are you telling me such things?" Lukas asked, he was a little confused by this Avalon was sometimes surprisingly honest with him for little to no reason. The first time he met her she admitted her guilt of destroying a training dummy more than once.
[… I'm not really sure. Maybe cause I find your Aura very calming. Reminds me of… something... no, someone I knew a long time ago. Besides, sometimes there are things that are easier to tell a stranger than it is a friend. We haven't known each other that long after all.] Avalon then paused for a moment.
[Besides I know you are a decent person Captain. You've worried about me when I was injured. I'm a pretty good judge of character… as I've had a lot of experience to be able to learn such a thing. Also currently are we on the same side, if I cannot trust my captain to a slight degree with such trivial things, who can I trust to give me orders.] Avalon laughed lightly as she touched the necklace that hung around her neck.
"You consider such things trivial."
[Yes, they are trivial to me. If you've experienced half the things I have, something as small as talking about beating up a man, or the fact I've seen a purge is nothing. Cause all you've learned from this is I'm slightly hotblooded when I get angered. And that I've witnessed something horrifying. You can't really say you know me just from these few things. Honestly, it's better if you don't try to get to know me better.] Avalon muttered as she fiddled with her necklace a little.
Lukas let out a low chuckle shaking his head slightly. [About training tomorrow captain don't worry too much about my hands I'll be okay. I look forward to training with you tomorrow, I thank you for taking the time to teach me the basics of training here.] Avalon said smiling slightly. 'This is as close as I should get to him. It truly would be bad for him if we got any closer than this. Like there is currently I can never let the wall between us fall.' Ava told herself with a slight sigh.
"Right. We'll meet on the training grounds tomorrow."
[Right! Have a good night captain.] Avalon told him earnestly.
"Yes, good night."
