The two looked at the book for a moment not saying anything. It was kind of like they were in a state of shock. Eventually the boss spoke first. "Then Evangeline is already dead."
"The one you remember from the past before going to the duke. Yes, she is technically dead. She had died sometime ago alone with no one caring over her death. Till it was too late it seems." Eva sighed as she leaned against the mirror touching the reflection. "I'm no saint, far from it. I'm not trying to break this loop for any noble reason, other than the reason to pass time and have fun. I want to see if I can succeed where other's have failed. That's my reason for doing this… but it would be a lie if I said I didn't feel bad for the girl. This foolish girl's vain wish to save the world which had completely forsaken her and her family that had been protecting it. This world killed her… and forsaken her."
The old man suddenly slammed his fist on the table causing Nadia to jump. "Damn it! It's my fault I shouldn't have let the duchess take her all those years ago. She promised to raise and protect her but she died as well, leading to this."
"If it makes you feel any better. There was honestly nothing you could have done. The Niukyu was hunting her so this would have happened either way. A child is still a child such a destiny would crush any young shoulder's when having to deal with it on there own. Not to even mention that she was stacked with a bad hand at the very beginning."
"You don't get it. Those of the Silver Blade are mostly made up of people that were of the Rivera royal guard. Those that were of the royal guard where tasked with protecting the queen. We were supposed to protect her and the queen and look what happened. The Queen died of an illness and the princess was forced to face something completely alone which also led to her death."
"It's all in the past there is nothing you can really be due about it. However, you can learn from the past and change the future. I may not spiritually be the Eva that you knew many years ago, but I am acting as Eva right now. I plan on changing the future and bringing back the Kingdom of Rivera. So will you join me in my fight to change this worlds future and fate?" Eva asked holding her hand out with a serious expression.
The old man looked at her with realization before turning to her pulling out his sword and planting it on the ground the tip of its blade as he kneeled to the ground. "I and the Silver Knights pledge to fight with you against future and fate my Princess. If you would allow us of course."
"Of course. I need those that are trustworthy. I need trustworthy allies either why which is part of the reason I took this gamble to come here." Eva explained. "I was made extremely aware that coming here as I was more than likely a death sentence. However, when I learned that there was some connection here with Eva, I had to take the risk. I am fighting an up-hill battle so at times I need to take such risks.
"I don't plan to pledge myself to you, but I would be more than willing to help since my father believes in you. If he's willing to pledge to you, he must think you are truly something."
