Nadia left the office again waring her mask once more and transformed it into her more natural form. The boss of the silver blades walked with her down the hall. "I'll send someone to be your servant. They can act as our correspondent."
"Alright I'll be staying at that house I mentioned till I have to return to the duke's residents. If we both gather funds leaving the moment Eva turn of age will be no problem. We just have to wait, which might be annoying, but we have no choice if we don't wanna lose what we worked so hard for. That law is an issue, to say the least." She muttered shaking her head slightly. The boss had a clear look of having a question though he never asked it.
When they made it to the main area a familiar figure was there to Nadia's slight surprise. She didn't expect to meet them here however she thought it was a good time if any. Nadia walked forward over towards Yasin before stopping next to him. "My my my. I didn't expect to run into you here today." Nadia said with a slightly surprised tone. Though it was true running into him was unexpected she knew it was possible since that kid from earlier had told her that vemonlight had a connection here.
"Pardon me miss have we met before?"
"Fufufufu. Maybe, maybe not that's for you to judge. But have you got the information on the ore that was requested of you fairly recently?"
"The ore…. You're-"
"I live in the house. If you have the information, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands now."
Yasin thought for a moment, he knew that she must have been in connection to the 'kid' mage he met before. As he was thinking looking up at Nadia he noticed the two behind her. Realizing she had both the silver blade's current boss and that 'body' guard that 'kid' had with them that day. Yasin decided that it was best not to argue with Nadia and just give them the information since I clear there was a connection though he was unaware they are the same person.
"Here is the information you requested. The land you mentioned is unoccupied but as you said there is… something there." Yasin replied as he brought out a scroll of paper and held it out to her. Nadia paused for a moment as information dealers were a little trickier to deal with most of the time.
Nadia sighed a little knowing there was no real reason for her hesitation when dealing with Yasin. She grabbed the scroll taking it from his hand. "Thank you for the information. Till next time we require your services." Nadia spoke taking the scroll and placing some coins in his hand. She looked back at Akiko for a moment.
"Till next time. But Sir are you leaving we need to talk." Yasin said looking over at the boss.
"Speak with my father I must personally deal and ensure this client's safety."
"You honestly don't need to worry about me, sir boss."
"You're aware that will not happen."
Nadia sighed and walked out of the building however as they said they were where not about to leave her. "You really don't need to guide me back as your father asked, I know you are also warry of me but I'm not going to do anything. I won't be beneficial for my goal." She told him to the other cloaked figure was no other than the boss. "Besides the guild leader of vemonlight is here to see you should hear what he has to say not have your father do it and tell you later.
"You could just up and disappear trusting you is like trusting a beast not to eat." The boss replied she didn't blame him for it. After all, she wasn't and at the same time was who he had been looking for, for years. "Fair enough." Arcin replied she knew Akiko pleased with how the boss was treating her. Akiko was aware of Nadia's situation, so he didn't understand the issue with him, he found this sentiment of humans behind such a thing. Nadia hadn't done anything wrong after all she was forcefully thrust into this role.
Nadia thought didn't like the fact that she was being treated in such a way she understood to a slight degree. The boss had many emotional reasons for the way he treated her in such a way one of which was the very fact that Nadia was prevention to be Eva never planning on ravelling such a fact. He didn't care for the reasons the fact that she was not Eva was enough for him at the moment to just dislike her.
Though whether he'll feel this way forever is hard to say after all they've only just met. If he's ever felt different, she wasn't sure but in all honestly, it didn't bother Nadia. Back in her world, she had learned not to care about others' opinions, as it was pointless to please everyone and it was pretty much a waste of effort to try, but still, it means it didn't bother her.
She didn't enjoy having all the attention on her, dealing with large groups of strangers but she did it anyway. But Nadia had to act a little differently here as things were different from her world. Akiko was the only one she really cares for at this point. Nadia felt even more detached in this world than she already did in her original world.
As the group continued forward a figure raced out from, the darkness and over to Nadia into her legs. The boss jolted slightly in surprise from the sudden rush but didn't do anything. Nadia knew that he may be hoping that the figure was going to kill her. But Nadia knew death wasn't the thing coming for her. "Miss! You're alright!" a familiar child voice exclaimed. Nadia looked down at the kid as she places her hand on their head lightly.
"Mmmm. But of course, I told you I would be. Did you wait for me? Where you worried about my well-being?"
"O-of course not who would worry about someone that did something without any fear for their own death."
"Hahahaha! Oh, my it seems I'm getting lectured. Everything is fine as you can see. You could even think of me like a cat with nine lives,"
"You have another person with you now though. Did you go to the Silver Blades to get a guard?"
"Mmmm. Something like that. The addition is just escorting me home that's all."
"Oh well if you need a good guard, I know someone really strong."
"Is that so. Well at this moment I'm not looking for one but the first moment I do I'll let you know.
"I'll be at my corner if you ever do."
"You mean that corner that you got hit by a carriage? You plan to go back to that place despite almost dying on the side of the road will people passed by as if you were tossed trash?"
"I want to prove myself besides… I want to help my brother."
Nadia looked at the kid for a moment thinking. "You're not going back to that corner."
"But."
"Let me finish. You're not going back to that corner. One it's too dangerous they could do it again and I likely won't be there to help the next time. Two think of how your brother would feel about this or if you died. I'm sure he would be sad that his sister cares that much for him to do such a thing but got killed in the process."
"How did you now?"
"You may have cut your hair and such to look like a boy to fool people but I'm quite familiar with young ones such as yourself. Now back to the matter at hand. I'm not about to let you go back there for your own safety."
"Pfff and you're talking to me about safety."
"I'm in a slightly different position than you are. Though I'm not gonna let you return to that corner I never said you'd stop helping your brother." Nadia sighed. "I'm not sure if you've noticed but I'm something like a travelling merchant of sorts. I plan to stay in this town for a while, so I plan to open a shop in my home. So, how's this I hire you to be an employee at my store with a fair wage so you can help your brother and stay out of danger."
"Really?
"Of course. I need additional hands after all."
"I'll come tomorrow!"
"That's fine. I'll tell you what I plan to have you do then. Be safe going back alright."
Nadia could feel the boss's eyes on her the entire time during that exchange, but she had no plan on explaining herself to him. She just let out a hum and continued walking off towards her current home/store. She didn't plan to explain however it was likely that he would never learn her reason for doing such a thing on his own.
