The gates of the very infamous school Tengoku Academy opened once more as it welcomes another school year for it's students.
Being of bad reputation, the school only has 10 classrooms all in all in the highschool department. 5 classrooms for 1st years, 4 classrooms for second years and 1 classroom for third years. This decrease in classrooms by each year was due to the fact that no one could stay long enough at the school. Those who stayed were heroes, as the old students would say, for they had no financial abilities to transfer and sacrificed their youth to another torture of a year.
The third years, having one class, suffered the most due to it being the year where the 'deadly trio' were in. Since it only had one classroom, it therefore concluded that the trio ruled their whole year.
Poor first years that entered the school hoping for a normal highschool life...
It was the day their dreams would be shattered at the same day it began. For this was the day the school was choosing it's first ever student council president in the last two years.
"Wow!", Chiyo stood in awe at her dream school. Rather, any school was her dream school as she will finally be able to live her normal life. A life with friends, with exams that produce study groups, the idea if eating lunch with her upcoming friends, going to the malls with them, going to karaoke...oh the dreams were just endless for the small girl!
She held her beating heart and finally took her first step towards her dreams.
"Hey all you fucking cockroaches. Go to the school gymnasium right now! If any of you bail out and we see you lounging in the classrooms, you're all fucking dead."
Hm?, Chiyo blinked at the announcement, finding it a bit odd. But before she could sink it all in, a mob of students came running towards her and she was suddenly being pushed by the sea of students towards what was supposed to be the gymnasium. If she had heard it right from the announcement.
"Hooh..", after coming inside, the students went seperate ways. Chiyo was finally able to break free and take a breather as she sunk in everything. After resting for a few seconds, she looked for a seat on the assigned ones for the 1st years who were like her, finally starting their highschool life.
She felt another range of butterflies inside her stomache as she thought of how her future friend or friends, mind you, were going to come from one of the students she was sitting together with.
She found a free seat on a row close infront and smiled to herself in glee. Highschool debut, here I come!, she thought excitedly.
As Chiyo sat down, she continued glancing excitedly to her surroundings, however something had felt off. The first years were seated and the 2nd and 3rd year students were standing up in the balcony. Some of them were snickering, some looked worried.
"I wonder who that unlucky student would be...", she heard a specific senpai say, which confused her.
Chiyo turned to look at her batchmates and oddly enough, no one was looking infront. They all had their heads down and they were either shaking, scared or anxious. Now this didn't feel anything near right for the girl and as she couldn't take it anymore, decided to ask the person beside her,
"Umm, hey...", once she spoke, the boy beside her flinched. The boy turned to look at the girl who talked and was welcomed by a cute female who was wearing glasses and had a ponytail on.
The boy blushed with the eye contact but managed to ask back, "Yes?"
Chiyo, being succesful to start a conversation, grinned in glee and continued on.
"Do you know what's going on? Why is everyone scared?"
The boy looked bewildered at Chiyo's question and wanted to believe that the girl was only joking. She couldn't have actually came into this dark den without getting ready, right?
The boy wanted to atleast believe the girl was not as oblivious as her question sounded because if she was, then this was seriously the last place she should be in.
"Hey, are you still listening?", Chiyo said as she waved her hand across the boys eyes, "I'm Chiyo by the way!", she placed her hand infront if the boy.
The boy obliged and shook it back once he came back to his senses and asked back, "H-haven't you heard of any of the rumors about this school?". This earned the girl to tilt her head slightly, obviously oblivious to what rumor the boy was telling her.
The boy was petrified.
This poor girl!, he thought to himself as he stared at Chiyo's naive and clueless eyes. The boy sighed to himself and even if it was too late for the girl named Chiyo to back out, he decided to atleast share some information to her to atleast give her time to be ready for what is to come.
"Chiyo, this school is not your normal school.", he said sternly.
"Not normal?",now Chiyo had been anxious. She wanted to be anything normal and it seemed she wasn't at the right place.
But then she pushed it away because the school can't be anything weirder than her old life and family. And if it is, she'll atleast live normally even if the place she's in is not . Start by having friends like this kind boy right now! She could be her first friend!
Oh yes!!, Chiyo suddenly became ecstatic. She had made her first friend! Well, she will be making her first friend.
But before she became lost in the thought, she pulled herself back to hear the boy explain his story.
"Tengoku highschool did used to be normal. But everything changed when three specific students came and attended the school. I don't remember their names but they are currently third years and these past 2 years they had been in school were torture to the past students."
Chiyi was now intrigued, "Torture?", she asked.
"Yeah. They practically came in and immediately blackmailed the teachers so they had all control by their first week. They cut classes, got into numerous fights and people also said they caught them smoking in certain places! The three were delinquents and they were breaking so many rules but no one could stop them!"
"There were also cases of them bullying others. They said the three always had fights every week. They also had servants that follow their every whim but they say that if that servant defies them, it was bye-bye for good!"
"Why doesn't anyone call the police?",Chiyo asked. From what she was hearing, this three people were not acting like regular highschool students and could easily be in jail. Her father's disciples did much worse then those people and their faces were more than known by the country's police by now. Not like she was going to tattle them out, but the crimes of her acquaintances sounded somehow close to what the three are doing, so howecome nobody complained to the authorities?
The boy clossed his eyes at the question and sighed, "You would think that was the most logical excuse, but I heard that one of the members of the 'deadly trio', that was their name by the way, was super rich and they had enough allowance for bail money! And they hadn't commited actual crimes yet. They never killed anybody, but plenty times they almost have, but they always cut close. Plus many parents already complained but no one can do anything since they somehow always get something to blackmail the adults with. Everyone is just powerless!"
Chiyo hummed in understanding. Whoever this three were, she had the least interest to do anything connected to them. They were the closest thing that had something similar with her family which she had been avoiding, therefore they are a hindrance to her 'normal life'.
"I guess we shouldn't get involved with them, huh?", she said, nodding in agreement to her own statement.
The boy nodded vigorously at her but suddenly slumped down as if he remembered something tragic.
"Ugh, that's the problem this year is their last year.", the boy proclaimed, "The school is happy that this would be the final year for the deadly trio and they will finally be able to get rid of them, but since it IS their final year, they had decided to do a specific event just for this school year..."
The boy looked just about dead as he kept talking. Chiyo wondered what that 'event' was that got him so worked up.
"The seniors said that the first years are the only one involved because the 'Deadly Trio' were going to pick one specific first-year to be their toy a.k.a servant for the whole year! They said it was a first year because they expect for that person to be the last souveneir for the school of their misgivings. And no one seriously wants to be THAT first year student!",the boy breathed finally as he zoomed towards Chiyo with frightful eyes.
Now Chiyo was smiling.
"Only one? What are the chances? There is a 99% chance it isn't me, or you so I'm holding into that.", she said optimistically.
The boy was beyond terrified of the girls words. Yes it was a small chance against almost 200 students but it was cutting close! Anyone could be chosen and it could be one of them.
"Ch-Chiyo...you're too optimistic I'm scared for you...", the boy said symphatetically and rested his hand on the girl, patting her shoulders.
The girl wasn't bothered and continued facing front. She didn't want to be involved with the deadly trio but she couldn't bother being nervous about the way it would be picked. She believed she was the luckiest girl right now since she was finally able to go to highschool and start her normal life, she also immediately made a friend at the first day! If anything, she would say that she was in a lucky streak and in no way would it end today.
"Oh! Right, what was your name?", Chiyo remembered that she hadn't heard the boy's name, who was her friend candidate, yet.
If they were going to be future friends, she needed to think of a nickname soon!
Chiyo giggled at the remembrance of the list of her own nicknames she had come up with. It was among Chii-chan, Asano-chan or Yo-chan. But she was glad to accept anything as long as it was from her friend!
The boy scratched his head and smiled shyly, "It's Eiji Kuroda!", he beamed.
Chiyo finally had a proper look of Eiji as he smiled. He had a comforting demeanor. Brown hair and brown eyes and his fidgetting movements showed that he was not used to being the center of attention. He's cute!
Chiyo smiled at her seemingly normal friend and nodded in her head. She was surely starting her normal life right!
"Attention students."
Soon everyone's eyes were on the stage, towards the voice who spoke.
Silence engulfed once more at the white haired boy standing on the podium. His eyes showed no interest in anything he was doing.
Kenzou Matsuo quietly analyzed the first years seating infront of him. He and his friends put up exactly 195 chairs for the first years but it seemed 3 seats had no one sitting on it.
He sighed to himself at the thought that those 3 people may have suddenly backed out. He didn't know if he would call them cowards or intuitionative for knowing that it was good to run away before anything began.
Yet Kenzou grunted as he realized they were short of three students whose name's were already in the lots. It seemed that if they were to get a second drawing due to those 3 specific people missing, he would surely make them pay for the waste of time they had led them to.
"I hope no one is running away today.", he said as he gave emphasis to every word. He felt all the students flinch and shake their head. He stood emotionless at their reaction, being bored by it by now.
Another bunch of cowards huh. Kenzou said to himself until his pair of yellow eyes landed on a certain female who amidst the depressing first years, looked almost optimistic.
This earned an interesting look from him, as he found something that caught his attention.
"The choosing of the new student council president will begin in 10 minutes. The doors are closed, the bathrooms locked so sorry for the people who hadn't ran earlier. There's no turning back now.", he said as he smirked. He felt another wave of dread from the first years infront of him. The second and third years gossiping and feeling sorry for whoever would be picked.
But his eyes landed once more towards the black haired girl who seemed to be smiling more than ever. She didn't seem fazed at all at his warning.
Again, Kenzou was amused.
He headed to the backstage where his two friends waited for him.
"Subaru.", he called to his black haired friend who was wearing a face mask. "I want you to tell me that black haired girl in a ponytail wearing glasses' name.", he said.
This earned a raise of eyebrow from Subaru. There were plenty of woman with black hair, a ponytail and glasses so he went to peek outside. Sure enough, many fitted the description but he somehow knew who Kenzou had been talking about due to the sole girl smiling by herself in the sea of depressed students.
"Chiyo Asano.", he almost immediately replied. Subaru Maeda continues to suprise Kenzou with his fast memorization skills. It was only 2 days ago that they were given all the lists of the first year students name and picture yet Subaru had memorized it all in one day! This was never the reason he became friends with him, but it was a buy 1 take 1 purchase and he was happy that his friend was one gifted with that skill.
"Raiden.", he called up to his other friend who had brown hair that almost seemed orange if placed in sunlight. "Yep?"
"Change of plans. I'll be the one picking from the lot.", he said which earned a confused look from his two friends. But as a realization flashed Raiden's mind, he couldn't help but smirk, "Already have someone in mind?"
Again, Kenzou was proud of one of his friends. Raiden Harada is hot tempered and would rather rely on fists, but he had good intuition. "You could say that.", Kenzou hummed in reply.
"Lend me a paper will you?", he asked Raiden as he raised his hand, awaiting a paper. Raiden grabbed a piece from his pocket together with a pen and handed it to his white haired friend, "I hope you pick a fun guy.", he smirked as Kenzou began writing.
"She's interesting if I should say.", Subaru chimed in as he remembered the black haired female named Chiyo. She in all means did not look like she knows what was going to happen. He almost felt pity for her. Again, almost.
Raiden looked surprised at the mention of 'she' and gave a knowing look at Kenzou who was writing. Never did he think that his white haired friend would be interested in a girl. However, he knew it wasn't anything different as a form of amusement. After all, Kenzou had been the last person he thought that would trust anybody. This was more of a challenge for their part, he bargained. A challenge for someone he thinks is worthy to be a form of entertainment for a short time.
"Poor girl.", he then added. But he could care any less for anyone other then his friends. If they wanted to do anything to the girl, he would likely oblige them to as he had no relation to her. This was aslo their final year and final chance to do something interesting together.
"Let's see how long that'll smile last...", Kenzou finally finished writing and rolled the paper in his hands as he hummed, "...Chiyo Asano."
In one of the chairs of the hundreds of first years', Chiyo was still humming her favorite song to herself as she waited for that white haired man that had talked.
Student council president?, the announcement came to her head again. How cool would it have been if she was chosen to represent the school as the president.
But she knew it was too early for that. In a normal school, according to her research, third year students were picked to be the student council president for they woul be awarded for their diligence in that activity at their graduation.
She was still a first year but she had now set a new goal. She would do her best to be one worthy as a candidate of the position of president! This was her third goal, next to having friends.
"Nice to see no one trying to leave.", again the white haired male student appeared and began talking.
She couldn't help but stare once more at the man. He was about 6ft tall. One feet taller than her, but she didn't have a height complex though. She was proud of her small stature since it gave her the chance to run faster and easier with her small weight. But his height wasn't what caught her attention. It was a small scar that was plastered on his left cheek.
She didn't find it scary since she was raised in a household where scars had become trophies of one's manliness, rather than terrified, she was intrigued to know just how much fights this man was allowed to be in that even with a scar he was still allowed to go to school.
"That's the deadly trio's leader."
Chiyo felt her eyes wide at the comment of Eiji and stared once more at the male student. No wonder he was still allowed at school with a scar, he was one of the feared men!
"Why is he announcing the new president?", Chiyo asked.
Before the boy could explain, Kenzou began talking once more.
"We will now commence the picking of the new student council president!", even though the white haired man seemed enthusiastic, it seemed only Chiyo clapped in excitement but was sushed by Eiji in the process. The other students inside the gymnasium were too anxious to clap as they knew it was not something to be happy about.
Kenzou noticed Chiyo who was the single person actually looking cluelessly excited for the picking of president and he couldn't help but chuckle.
Raiden came out of the backstage and walked towards Kenzou while holding a small box. Raiden who knew Kenzou's plan, whistled to himself as Kenzou fakingly acted like he was picking something from the box and brought his hand out, which was balled into a fist as if something was in there but in actuallity nothing was in his right hand.
He came to the mic and coughed,"ehem!", he said.
He then, like a professional magician, grabbed that paper he wrote Chiyo's name from his pocket and transferred it to his right hand. No one seemed to notice it. He smirked as he now held the paper in his hands and raised it up.
Everyone caught their breathe, all praying for the paper to not have their name written on it.
Chiyo who paid no heed to the announcement twirled her feet as she yawned. She was sincerely getting bored.
"The new student council president for this year is..."
Another yawn escaped her mouth but before she could catch her breathe,
"CHIYO ASANO!"
Gasps were heard from the gymnasium. A couple of first years sighed in relief as they knew for sure 'Chiyo Asano' was not their name. But almost all the students began looking to see who that poor girl was. They were sure there should be someone crying now.
Chiyo whose yawning was stopped due to the announcement of her name stood up. Shocked can be seen in her face.
Eiji who sat beside her cursed himself as he felt pity for the girl he just met.
"M-me?", soon people all had their heads looking at her. Everyone felt pity for her but it didn't last long as the girl grinned, "I'm gonna be the president?!", she beamed.
Everyone was baffled. Eiji cursed again at the poor clueless girl. Some fainted as they couldn't believe the joy in the girl's face.
She was practically shining!
Kenzou felt a small pinch of guilt for the oblivious Chiyo but it was so small that it got engulfed in more of his amusement towards her. Raiden who was watching the girl smiling had his mouth wide open. He couldn't believe any person would be happy through that announcement! Gosh it was the first time he saw a girl that stupid.
"Chiyo Asano, please go to the stage to recieve the key to the student council room.", Kenzou announced once more.
Now if it was a normal person who had known of the reputation of the school and the trios', they would quiver in fear amd hesitate to stand on stage. Yet Chiyo was anything but normal, no matter how much she wanted to be.
Chiyo skipped towards the stage. Again, another half of the students fainted. Some had began crying for the girl as if she was sacrificing herself for the good of mankind. Eiji was one of those people crying. Countless curses came to his head in each skip of the girl.
As Chiyo finally stepped foot on stage, she came face to face to the two men executing dark aura around them. But as if she was even more oblivious to that aura, she continued on and had the audacity to stand between the two feared men of the whole school.
Now, half of the students had fainted.
Kenzou, who was staring at the beaming girl looked baffled and amused at her position. Raiden was more than still processing the creature standing beside him.
But not a moment was lost as Kenzou continued on, "Now Miss Chiyo Asano, Subaru Maeda will be giving you the key to the student council room!", he said trying not to laugh at the idiocracy of Chiyo.
Chiyo was happy. Or even more so, delighted! She never expected to be the student council president at the beginning of the first day! Seriously she was on a streak of luck!
She kept bouncing off on stage with her eyes closed, awaiting the keys.
My highschool debut!!
*splash*
Chiyo blinked.
A wave of gasps were heard.
Chiyo blinked again. She felt...yucky.
She then looked down to her toes and red was all over her. She looked at her uniform and her eyes widened at her state.
She was showered in red paint!
"Congrats on being the new president miss Chiyo Asano..."
She slowly moved her head to the white haired man she now knew was clearly the leader of the 'deadly trio'.
He looked at her amused, his eyes glowing. An arm leaned on his shoulder belonging to the brown haired male who held the box before. He too was smirking. On the other side of the white haired man was one with pure black hair, a face mask covering half of his face. He looked at Chiyo as if she were an ant.
"...or rather thanks for being our new toy."
It was then Chiyo realized that her normal life was even farther from her reach than she had thought.
