After entering the shop, three gazes followed whatever action I performed; especially the one that belonged to my brother; however, I didn't pay them any heed; the only thing on my mind right now is to get my uniform and get the hell out of here.
It was nearing noon; at the time, the tailor brought me my uniform;
The school doesn't cover the expenses of clothing because they consider it as a tradition to honor the academy legacy.
'Tsk, more like being stingy.' I thought.
The tailor took my sizes to modify the shoulders length.
After he finished, he instructed me that the uniform is on the house, and it will be sent to the Haruka house during the evening.
The boy who offered to pay for my uniform didn't even utter a single word since we've been inside; I knew from the start that he wasn't garrulous, but not to this degree; he barely took peeks of me from time to time, and then straight up, got back to reading his book.
After the tailor finished wrapping my uniform, I immediately thanked the kind guy.
"Thanks, mate; I hope we can be friends at the Academy," I respectfully said, slightly tilting my head.
"Sure, but no need for such formality; it's just a mere uniform," he said in an extremely harmonical tone; he looked like those kids who filled with acclaim and systematically, as every expression or behavior he makes is well-calculated and stunningly graceful.
Such a boy won't even be in here if not for the Academy traditions.
He was the exact contrast of me; after all, I don't care about my behaviors, and most definitely not calculating shit;
It's going to be a lie if I said I don't care about my image.
But I am too lazy to rectify anything; if not for narcos and experiencing the rigorous treatment back in the Haruka household, I'd probably never attempt to change.
Before going out, I slightly turned my head, mumbling something into my target ears; the words I said were simple, "Since you didn't pay for my uniform, we can still do the check-up, this time as a date maybe?"
Testing my luck, I waited for her coming answer in extreme oddity, yet I didn't stay inside the shop; her infatuation points will tell me the whole story.
If my proposal got rejected, I would automatically get decreased points.
And to my expectations, after my first step out of the tailor shop, I heard a buzzing notification resound inside my head.
<+17 infatuation points gained >
"Curious? About what?" I mentally polled, trying to understand what can be unusual about me that made her "curious."
Narcos advised me, saying:
going to know shortly after the Academy student entrance ceremony> Moving down the street, I unchained my bike and decided to visit the art Academy because of the painting talent I possess, which narcos previously mentioned. However, I need Miku to pass the security, and I also still need to get some breakfast; it was just past the meridian, but I didn't eat anything the whole morning beside the dust particles stuck in my mouth while I was rolling on the ground. So, I got back to the Haruka house, hoping that there still some remainings of the morning breakfast. *Knock knock* I knocked at the door while my stomach made horrendous noises. And after waiting for some seconds, the door finally opened, and the maid's face showed up between the door's shadows. "Hi, how ar-.." I didn't stay to listen to her empty words and directly went upstairs to have a quick shower and change my clothes. But I could tell her face was uglier than a sow from the noise her clenched knuckles made. Slowly going up, I reached my room door, which was already narrowly unlocked. Moreover, to my shock, upon glancing in, I discovered a girl with scattered hair, leaning on the wall while crouching on the cold floor, simultaneously hugging her knees, as she looked like she's expecting someone. After deeply inspecting her statue and seeing the familiar blue nightwear, I determined that she was the same girl I allowed into my bedroom last night. Upon having a more attentive stare, for some reason, she appeared to be more wretched than the last time I saw her. 'Why would she look miserable? And what's she doing inside my room in the first place?' Maybe she Overslept? That's highly unlikely, although she came to my bedroom relatively late at night. But Still, I memorized her habits perfectly; she never slept past 7 am, let alone 2 am, even on a Sunday morning. "Then what does she want this time?" I asked narcos. "I see," Yami said, still looking from the gab of the door. Miku was talking to herself as she tapped on the floor, creating a piano piece with only her fingers. I recalled the feature I earned after her infatuation crossed 50%. "Mindread, was it?" "Try it for me; let me see how it works." <0%....20%.....99%> An odd signal flashed in my eyes, and I can hear some voices that didn't belong to me or the system; the tone was chaotic and soft, and in the 15 seconds I was allowed into her mind, I only discerned questions, a lot of them, that I couldn't recall all that been said, but I remembered specifically three ones. "Did he go to meet that girl again?" "Why would he show me in an instant how much I meant for him, and in the others ghost me like I don't exist?" "I don't understand, this is not supposed to happen; why would I think about someone like him, in all people, why would I feel this burning emotion inside my chest every time I recall yesterday, it hurts, hurts so much," 'Girl? Is she talking about Ai?' After the mindread ended, I pushed the door, entering the room; while Miku didn't look as much shocked as yesterday, she was calm and collective, slowly lifting her little head to look at me. And immediately she asked, "Where did you go in the morning?" "The Tailor shop," I truthfully retorted. She didn't utter anything after that and got up under my startled gaze. I added, "Your department rest day is not Sunday; why didn't you go to the art academy?" "..." Still with no answer, she strolled till she reached my bed and laid down on it, faintly mumbling, "I wanted to stay here longer," "Huh!? How cute, wasn't I just an intruder for three months? Why would princess "Miku" want to stay in a pig swamp," I chimed. Her silence shocked me; if it's Miku, she would've called me a pig and puffed her cheeks, yet right now, she only looked at the ceiling as she informed in an incredibly soft tone, "I thought that you would forget to take your breakfast; I left you some scrambled egg toast and orange juice in the kitchen counter," I subconsciously wanted to shout, "Great!" but held it inside my mouth using my hand. Not having any thank words to utter, I attempted to exit the room in annoyance. And then I caught another sentence from Miku in my way out. "Would you accompany me to the Academy Tomorrow?" Perplexed, I sighed and said, "I'll think about it,"
