Once his vision faded back in he looked around to see he was in a grandiose waiting room of sorts with what appeared to be a circular floating platform in an expanse of endless sky with a door at the end of the platform.
As he looked around he saw other people on recliners which he appeared to be on as well. It didn't feel as though he was sitting but then again he didn't feel anything. It was almost as though we was touching nothing. A weird sensation but he didn't really think anything of it as it seemed somewhat normal to him, almost as though he had experienced it before.
Looking at the people around him was quite weird. They weren't actual people but almost apparitions. They didn't have any features but instead were light blue almost transparent beings. Looking down he saw his legs which looked the same as everyone else's, almost like a default character before you choose what they look like.
He heard a click causing him to look up at the door and see a black sign above it with a number. The number read 216 causing one of the people to stand up and walk towards the door, which then opened, letting him inside before closing behind him.
"What's going on here?" he asked one of the people sitting in the seat next to him.
He just pointed at his hand which caused Colton to look at it seeing the number 237. He looked at his own hand which read 253 causing him to glance back at the door.
'Im gonna be here a while aren't I?' he thought to himself seeing the significant jump in numbers from his to the sign above the door.
As he waited and watched the numbers tick up above, he looked around to see an occasional new person appear out of nowhere from time to time which he didn't question because nobody else did.
It almost seemed as though he was there alone because he talked to nobody and nobody talked to him. He wondered what was up with that but just went with it because he didn't want to cause a scene.
Once the number above the door read 253 he stood up and walked towards the door just as he had seen many others do before him. It opened and shut just the same as everybody else and he came across a giant hallway with many doors spaced periodically down the sides of it.
Seeing that one was opened he walked over to it and looked inside to see a beautiful woman in a chair, seated in front of a desk.
"Come, Sit down." She gestured with her hand for him to sit in the recliner on the opposite side of the desk.
"What's all this about?" Colton asked as he sat down.
"Isn't it obvious? You're dead."
