Hi my name is Samantha Vega O'Neill and I am sixteen years old, we are on our way to my Granny's place in Sag Harbor the Hamptons NYC for our Summer vacation and it's a long drive from the airport oh and when I say we I mean my mom, my sister and I.

My mom's name is Lucy and my annoying sister's name is Madison and I soliloquize a lot and I heard people who talks to themselves are really smart but some are actually crazy but I'm not.

Even my mom thinks I have a problem so she summoned a therapist and my therapist says I'm a GOTH in air coat and it's a phase I'm passing through and stuffs like that. That's kinda true cause I really don't talk out loud a lot and when I talk people don't ever notice me because I'm Laggy.

My favourite colour is black since I was eight. I'm like the invisible man no one sees or like a boring old signboard on the side road that everyone walks by like it ain't there. I even tried dying my blond hair back but my mom deterred me but I don't care what she says when I turn eighteen I'm still gonna do it, I'm the only weird one in the family, my mom was a popular kid back in her days just like Madison but then I wonder why I'm different.

Anyways my mom is a big fashion designer back in New York in one day hope to see Madison take over her but what about me?.

"Samantha Vega O'Neill did you remember to pack all the antiques." my mom asked.

"Um mum that wasn't my job its Madison's" I corrected silently.

" Sam I never seem to understand what you say." my mom replied with an angry face.

" I heard her mum and Sam how was it my job it's yours and mom specifically asked you to do it, mum you know I'm subservient and I'd never lie to you." Madison shouted.

"No you aren't."

"Yes I am Samantha."

That was a big fat lie Madison lies to Mum every time and she's definitely not a subservient person, she's a drama queen and pretender who sucks at everything but ends up being good at everything who also snuck out last week to Edwards party which mum specifically ask her not to but she did then got drunk.

Yeah I know you asking yourself how I know and "who's Edward" well sneaking out is my thing and because I was the one who snuck her back home she threw up all over me I can never forget even when I try to I can't and Edward arhhhh he's Madison's boyfriend who's also a joke and the biggest jerk ever of course he's a popular kid like Madison, I really don't like him at all cause he's popular he thinks he can boss everyone around well not me.

"Sam you Are So Grounded when we get to your granny's place." my mom scolded out of anger.

But I never pay attention to her when she talks oh and about the grounding stuff she's gonna forget.

So back to what I was saying, Edward he is the biggest jerk in the world, one time I broke his nose because he entered my room and no one ever enters my room without permission and as if that wasn't enough he broke the last solid and physical memory I had of my dad and for that he kinda hate me in fact the whole school hates me I broke the nose of the best football player he was replaced by sleazy Steve and we lost the championship which the school has waited five years to get that's why I'm the most hated person it was even written in the schools yearbook well not like I care.

"MOM TURN UP THE VOLUME THIS MY FAVORITE." Madison screamed out my ear

It is so annoying the way she sings, she is a horrible voice and no one wants to tell her TO SHOUT THE FUCK UP when she sings or talk about love like they are scared of her well I'm not.

I don't believe in love, love is sham I can never succumb to love, love can never ever take control over me I just like being alone, me and my guitar ever since my dad left without saying goodbye.

"Madison, Edward get down we're here." my mom announced happily.

"I'm also here if anyone cares, oh who an I kidding." I murmured.

They never listen nor hear me. We all got down from the car granny send to get us from the airport.

"Lucy my dear how are you." Granny graciously asked mom.

"I'm good Mother and you."

"Ohh I am so happy to see you guy's." Granny replied.

Mom isn't actually granny's daughter, Granny's my dad's mother.

"OH my Madison you are beautiful as your mother and who is this handsome young man."

Did granny just call Edward Bishops handsome, ewe Edward isn't handsome you look's like dog food or is it cat food well all works in describing Edward Bishop.

"I KNOW GRANNY!!!! He's my boyfriend Edward." Madison replied Granny happily.

"Thank you mam for the compliment and you have a beautiful house." he said

What the hell he's acting like a saint He.... IS.... A.... DEVIL.... PEOPLE a devil I say.

Madison pulled Edward in, I and the driver where left to get the luggage's.

This is Summer is official the worst one yet.

"Samantha dear come to Granny."

Whenever she says come to granny she wants a hug and I don't do hugs, I am not a hugger.

"Come on Samantha just one hug please for your Granny." she begged.

"Fine Grandma but only for five seconds okay."

She came over and hugged me so tight while I counted the seconds.

"Granny, Granny your time's up so can you please let go I need to breathe to stay alive and take all our luggage's in." I said trying to catch my breath.

"No Samantha come in with me the driver can the bags, come on I'll take you to your room." she advised.

"Um Granny can you call me Sam instead of Samantha and I know where my room is."

"But your name is Samantha right?" she asked.

"Yes Granny it is but I like Sam better and besides it short for Samantha."

"I will call you what I want Samantha now come in with me." she said.

"But Granny."

"Come in now!!!" This time with a more serious voice.

"Okay I will." I said, Granny can be annoying and strict but she's cool.

I went straight to my room which is right next to Madison's and Edward's room and when I say next I mean we share a wall together, anyways Granny's house is really big and old it's even bigger than our place in LA and she lives alone with my cousin Emma she's the only one that understands me sometimes and she's really cool to hang with but also weird too.

Granny also owns a pretty cool pizza place and this Summer I'm gonna be working there for a while to make extra cash and as Granny said "TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS" which you and I clearly know that will never happen.

"Sam it's dinner time come down."

"Don't waste your time Emma she won't come down, she doesn't eat with us." my mom alerted Emma and that's true I don't eat with them back home even when we have visitors, I eat in my room alone.

"I'm not hungry Emma and thanks mom!!" I shouted.

"You're welcome sweetie." my mom shouted back.

Firstly I don't want Edward to give me the stink eye which he has been giving me all day in the car every time I look back and it's weird, secondly I don't feel like eating but I change my mind Granny always leaves my share of food in the fridge so when I need it I'll just microwave it and eat or I'll just make a PB&J sandwich.

Bed time is always the worst when Edward's around and can you believe mom doesn't mind if Madison gets pregnant cause she's got the money to take Carr of both Madison and the baby now a day's girls get pregnant for their boyfriends and it's no big deal to the world, but Madison doesn't want a baby at all she doesn't like babies that's the only thing we have in common.

They stay up all night laughing and making stupid noises when I try to sleep they just wake me up and I value my sleep more than music and the worst thing about all this is that I can literally hear everything they say and it's so frustrating, I had it so much that I could break both their noses but mom would kill me if I did, she doesn't care about me cause I've had my nose broken a lot and she's tired of me and my problems, so I just have to wait till 8 pm when all the light's go off automatically so I can sleep in peace cause that means everyone go to sleep.

Granny's really sweet and caring but when she gives an order she means business even mom is scared of her and I like that finally I can sleep happily.
