Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE: DUNGEON

Waking up was the hardest thing. I had absolutely no control over my body or mind and my wolf was losing it. The reality of the situation l was in was not clicking in my mind. That is why l found myself drifting in and out of consciousness in an attempt to wake up in a different location. I thought that maybe, just maybe this was all a bad dream and if l closed my eyes hard enough, l would wake up in a completely different reality.

But the reality l lived in wasn't all that great. I had been content with life in the Blue moon pack for the past six years but l can't help but now think that l could be doing so much more with my life rather than slaving away to a group of fake obnoxious people.

There was rattling on the door that enclosed the cage l was in. A metal box with one window on the far top corner of the cage. The cage was an old rusted burgundy colour, with the paint chirping in all places creating a foresty artistic look. Usually all it takes to break a werewolf is to isolate them in a metal box cage for a minimum of a week before they start to lose it. However that only applies to average wolves. This happens because their human suffers the effects of isolation driving them to the point of insanity leaving the wolf to take full control.

This forms a rogue or kills a wolf. However l was used to living by myself because in all honesty, l had no friends let alone individuals l could talk to either than the other Omegas and they too thought they were better than me. I could survive a lousy week in isolation. This would be beneficial to me because l would finally be getting well deserved rest.

Antonio walked in with two guards by his side, one carried a syringe which l could only assume to be wolfsbanne, while the other carried a tray of food. What was surprising was that it contained real food. Steak with a side of mash and greens. A bottle of water accompanying the food.

The guard set it down in front of me, and before l could say or do anything, l was injected with the wolfsbanne. I had been trained from an early age on how to be resistant to any type of drug rendering the wolfsbanne immobile on me. But l couldn't let my secret be known.

I pretended to be suffering from the aftereffects of the wolfsbanne, making my eyes a startling white and my body limp and from their reaction, l could tell they were satisfied. Antonio came and took a seat in front of me and ran his hands through my hair.

"Why did you have to be an Omega? Such beauty gone down the drain on such a worthless person." he spoke sadly, as if in pain. Knowing full well that l couldn't respond, he sighed out loud before taking the food from the guard and setting it on his lap.

He took a spoonful of the food and brought it to my lips.

" Open up, l know you hungry " he said teasingly, with a small smile gracing his lips. I simply stared at him in utter disbelief. It seems as if my unresponsive nature provoked the ruthless side of him. Roughly grabbing my mouth in his hands, he brought my face closer to his own.

" l said open up" he gritted out through clenched teeth. I silently opened my mouth and a content smile graced his lips before feeding me a mouthful of steak.

"what an obedient pup you are" he said while patting my head. The process went on until all the food was cleaned off the plate. My stomach was burning from being stuffed but there was nothing l could say or do. I could tell that it wouldn't be long until all the food resurfaced.

"Dianne will become the Luna of the pack in the next three month because although l did counter act your rejection, l can never have a partner who is trash. Worse than garbage. Enjoy your time down here." he spoke while leaving with his guards.

But before he could fully get up, all the food came rushing out of my stomach and into his open mouth. I was chained upright, with both my hands and legs tied on opposite sides of the wall. My head was left unbalanced making it easy for it to hang loosely in the air. Making his mouth an easy shot.

He looked at me in disbelief and all l could was smirk. That seemed to snap him out of his reviere. A slap made its was across my cheek instantly bruising it and l could feel it swell. He let the full extent of his powers show, his aura causing the guards to drop on their knees as a sign of respect.

But l simply looked him square in the eyes and let some of my power show for a split second before hanging my head in respect. I could see the confusion on his face as the wheels in his head turned questioning if he had in actual fact seen what had just taken place.

As if doubting, the anger returned full force and before he could attack me further, l could see his wolf fighting for control causing his eyes to turn from a beautiful forest green to a deep violet. His wolf would never allow him to hurt me because wolves are super protective of their other halves. His whole notion of tossing me aside will never work as long as his wolf is an equal part of him.

He let out an exasperated grunt before making his way out of the cage, with the guards right behind him. Smelling the distance between them and l, l called on my wolf and let her take full control

"Get me out of these chains Dez" and just like that l was free. I could see her making her way to the iron gate but l stopped her before she could ruin my plan.

"patience" was all l said.
