Daniel Grayson,
After the whole ordeal, I found myself in a hospital room. Wrapped in bandages and tipsy on pain killers. And the first person that came to visit me was not one of my parents, but Simon. He sat beside me to explain the aftermath that took place.
Sophie had died, it was too late for her. She was weak from blood loss and malnourishment. The woman who was responsible for all this was one of the parents who lost their children's in the bus accident. She cursed Sophie with a Demon.
When Mr. Turner's family left the town, the demon followed. And should have gotten to her and was going to, but then she met me. My existence was what kept the demon from destroying her. In the beginning, the demon was weak, unable to stand me. That was the time when the women, Mrs. Hennery started sacrificing local children to the demon as fodder and dumping their bodies into the well. In the end, the demon became enough powerful to show itself to us, referring to the time on the highway.
But, when I finally moved away. The demon had finally again started tormenting her. I guess she knew that it was going to get her, that is why she booked the cottage. Once the demon got her, it was able to consume her soul. This would explain the women like appearance. Partly, I was also responsible for ending her life, as when I stabbed the demon, similar damage was inflicted on her. Once I removed the demonic circle, the link was shattered and her soul was freed. If I had just not left her alone this would have never happened.
The Cross, on the other hand, was with Simon. In the end, I could not do anything to help, only made everything more painful for her. But Simon stood as a beacon of light, as he gave me two clear cut options. Frist was to simply forget about all this and go back to living my life as it was.
And the second option was to bear my burden and follow who I really was and he would be the one guiding me. In the end, I chose to go with Simon, as I didn't want anyone else to end up like Sophie.

The lingering question, why Simon came to my town and why did the Cross chose me, all were answered in time. First up most, Simon handled things with my parents and then took me with him to London, St Paul's Cathedral. There I met with the Archbishop and the members of the church. Who were in white robes, waiting for our arrival. The Archbishop came forth to welcome us.
Simon assured him that the wait was finally over and that he had found "The Chosen". The Archbishop at first looked at me, then demanded a demonstration. Simon handed me the golden bookcase and I took out the Cross. Once in my hand, the gem in it started to glow red. Everyone present was surprised and the Archbishop himself was in shock. The Archbishop smiled and told us to follow him.
We followed him to the basement, from there to the ruins under the St. Pule. They were almost endless, lighted with cave lights. I passed large stone doors, one by one, until we reach a particular one. Two men in a white robe came froth and pushed the door open. The vault door opened and revealing a small room with a huge cross, confined into a small circular platform. The cross was 5.6 feet long, it had an opening in the middle, in the shape of the smaller one I had. We walk in the center.
Simon, first explained to me why he had stayed in my town. Prior to finding me, the church was going around to different towns with the cross, in order to find the sliest sigh of my existence. That one time when he came with the cross to my town. the cross for the first time let up, not for long, but enough for to know, I was here. after listening to this, I was unsurprised, or simply didn't care
I walk towards it and placed the cross inside the larger one, it was few inches thick from the bottom and the top was twisted enough that it would be able to be grabbed by two hands. Once the cross was completed, I proceeded to grab the handle. I didn't budge, I could hear the disappointing sighs of the Archbishop, but then my hand started burning up and the gem glowed.
The circle in the middle of the cross, dissolved into its sides and all fours tip extended reaching all-round the larger one. The burning sensation reached my body, reaching my eyes and then the bottom exploded and the cross became free. Considering its size I thought it would be heavier but it was lighter than expected.
I look at the Archbishop, his face gave of the look of surprise and relief. Simon on the other pointed to my eyes, which after looking into my phone were glowing red. I asked him what now and the Archbishop replied with, "Now your education begins".

[Writer note: Please endure this exposition dump, because this information is really important for the story]
Being the chosen did not matter much for me, but a great deal for the Church. They did not leave me unprepared. I was educated by many teachers, which were brought in specifically for me. First I was taught religion form great scholar, Mr. Tom Reese. Phycology from Mrs. Rona miles, who came from Brooklyn College. Sociology from Mr. Judson Everett, who came from Loyola University, Chicago. Ethics from Mr. Cornel West, who came from Princeton University. and last but not least Mr. Jefferson white castle, who came from Oxford, taught me language, perfecting my English, French, Spanish, German and teaching me old English.
Other than being taught and trained, I also lived under church supervision. My life was almost that of a noble, as I was given my very own house. Simon didn't leave me alone either, training me necessarily to understand how to properly use the Red Cross. Other than training he also taught me about Demonology. Understanding the potential types and categorizing of demons, exorcisms and reversing demonic gate.
As chosen I had a strange ability. During one training secession, I was able to open a hell gate and a demon, in order to come through, tried to possess my body. But, it was not able to, along with that I was able to see and hear its voice clearly. A few times in training, the demons were able to harm me, such as throwing me into walls or slashing at me. In all of those cases, I was able to heal, in mare seconds. Whether it be open wounds or broken bones, it would go back to being normal.
Simon belongs to a group that was responsible for this arrangement. They believed in the four kings, which maintained and looked over the Existence. Simon was not alone, there was another member named Clementine, who belonged to the same group. She was a scholar in philosophy and I was taught by her, despite being four years younger than me. As time went by I became fond of her and grew attached. As being the one who was able to pick the Red Cross. I had to be taught about the rest of the artifacts and their corresponding kings and she was the one who given the responsibility to do so.
There was no greater king, all four were equal, but their attributes were different. They were not regarded as gods but severed under him. Their services were to watch over the faith and the destiny of existence. Existence being, billions of worlds separated from ours. As part of this mission, they were omitted from the bible. As humanity is the favorite creation of God, they were given blessings from the four kings in the form of the four artifacts. One of the four, the Red Cross, which was now in my possession and rest were hidden somewhere out in the world.
During the removable of the Cross, the pedestal on which the Cross was sealed. Broke and revealing the scriptures. The scriptures were written in Old English and dated back to the 5th century, the total being twelve in number. They belonged to the era of the previously chosen, being one thousand and five hundred years back. That was able to use the four artifacts, but what they were used for and why were they hidden in such a manner, couldn't be answered. The scriptures revealed the location of the rest of the hidden artifact, as well as, much of the knowledge about each artifact and there attended use.
As I held the Red Cross, they started from there. The Red Cross belonged to "The Ruby King". His attribute was regarded with destruction. Which world would stay and which would perish, that responsibility was his alone. Let it be done by a natural disaster or a work of man, all could be said was his influence. As such the Red Cross had similar, but a less destructive attribute. Any being, if living which bore a soul and material, could be killed or destroyed by "The Red Cross". Whether it could destroy any unanimated object demanded my will.
The next king the scriptures mentioned was "The Sapphire King". There was a vague understanding of his attribute as it was said to control the reality of all worlds. The way it was explained to me was that he could influence how things felt, looked, smelled, tasted and sounded like. How each world acted and functioned could be said was his influence. His artifact was an "Amulet", which could be worn around the neck or kept in hand, essentially it required physical contact. The Amulet was said to bring the user's will into reality, such as commanding, creating, manipulating, teleportation, controlling and understanding.
The next two king that the scriptures mentioned were "The Emerald King" and "The Diamond King". Those both are very similar, yet unique in their power. Unlike the influencing the destruction or reality of the worlds, they both influence inhabitants of each world. The Emerald king's influence would empower the inhabitants, in order for them to hunt and kill. Similarly, his artifact was a "The Ring", which would grant the wearer unimaginable power. On the other hand, The Diamond king's influence would strengthen them, in order for them to survive the test of time. Similarly his artifact, "The Bracelet" was able to strengthen the wearer's body, essentiality making the wearer indestructible.
These artifacts were unimaginably strong, yet only held a fragment of the king's power in a form of gems, embedded in each of the artifacts. They had their own way of making sure, that they did not fall into the hand of corruption. Only "one person" in the "whole world could touch them", let alone use them and "that person was me".
The location for the other three artifacts was given as marking on a map. The amulet was located in modern Canada, Fairy Lake near Port Renfrew. It mentioned a small island with an old tree on it, this was particularly mentioned, as it was some kind of switch, which lead to an underground craven which had a guardian protecting the amulet.
The ring was located in modern California, Mojave Desert, smilingly buried inside the cave system under the blow. The bracelet was located in the modern New York, Matthatten. It first it was thought to be buried underground, but the church was able to find its exact location. Currently, it was stored inside a vault inside the federal bank. Though how they were able to find out most of the location was a mystery for me.
