They all made themselves ready and depart along the river. They looked like a merchants in the desert, but only modern and with a lot of people too.
Mr. Kingsman also resumed the story and continued telling them the legends and what he found in his years researching.
"So, you may not believe in the devil or jinn or anything. But I have to tell you that they are as real as we are. The devil or jinn is form of life like human, but they are differently. There are evil devils, which are the most common, then their antecessor is Iblis and he refused to hear the order of God and swore to lead the humans in the wrong path with all his strength."
"But people do not know that there are also good devil and jinn, that knew that Iblis was in the wrong and returned to the good path. This type of devil were the ones that Salomon had the power to order, because God gave him this ability and let them be his messengers."
"Salomon trusted the jinn under him, and he gave them the order to search for a place for his treasure. One of those jinn found the place were heading too and it was also a perfect place. A proof for it, is that the treasure was never found till now."
Richard, James, Maria, Christian and Alex heard what he was saying with a lot of concentration.
"I thought what my grandpa said was only a story. He told me once that we humans can have contact with the devil and let them make the impossible for you for a price, which is going against God." Said Richard after a while. He was from an very old family with a lot of history. So, he knew a lot of things and one of this was that every elder in their family believed in magic and the devil.
"My grandfather told me once too, but I did not believe him because he was in the dying bed. But then I read a book that says that people that are dying would tell truths that they kept in secret for long." Added James too.
"It is normal for them to believe in the devil, because as older you get as more things you will see. DO you think that all the stories about ghosts, devil incarnations or a lot of other legends comes from the imaginary? There are a lot of mysteries in the world and we cannot explain it with science. Yes, people try to explain it with reasonable methods, but even our existence is a mystery, that cannot be explained by people saying that our ancestors are monkeys." Mr. Kingsman said when he heard James and Richard.
"Look, for example in some religions it is obligatory to believe in the devil and magic, because it is part of the existence and God created them, like he created us. But they know that it is not allowed to practice the magic and contact the devil, because it brings only harm." He continued.
"But this in not everything, there a lot of other mysteries, like the Chinese legends and the practice of immortality. Once you get yourself deep in this matters, you will understand why I believe in them."
Alex heard what he said, and he nodded as he knew that what he said is right. There was a difference between his powers and magic. Magic was something that you get when you make a pact with the devil, you wish, and the devil do the rest for you. Cultivation and spiritual power were different because its principals were to gather the energy in the world and become stronger with practice.
"So, do you know why Salomon choose this location out of all the places. Even if the jinn liked it, it does not mean that he liked it too." Asked Maria. She was trying to recall every Christian texts that she read about Salomon, even Jews and Muslim texts. She was very versed in art and history and she was trying to find a reason why to come here and hide the treasure here.
"I do not know, I was also very puzzled about the reason, but there was nothing in the texts. South Sudan cannot be said as a country that would attract people to hide their treasures there, but it must be a special place if he hid it there."
The caravan continued along the river for the whole day. The Jeeps built a long line and when they drove near a village, all the people looked at them strangely without understanding why so many Jeeps would appear here.
South Sudan was in crisis and peace was very instable and could break anytime. It was normal to see militants with their pickups and with their weapons. So, for the villagers that were suffering from the political problems in the country and were living in extreme poverty, were a little afraid after seeing that many jeeps, then they all thought that it was the militants that came to bring troubles.
So, they all hid in their tents and did not came out when they saw the many jeeps.
Alex and the others knew the situation perfectly and they were prepared for any troubles, thanks to the mercenaries that they brought along with them.
Whatever, the journey was carefree, when they suddenly entered a dense jungle.
In a military base, not so far away, the man that kidnapped Mr. Kingsman was speaking with a person in military clothes.
"I hope you will support us as much as you can. The benefits that we gave you are not easy to get."
"Of course not, South Sudan is your playground, and the military will support you as much as possible."
Nordej stood up and left the base, then he said: "What a scum! Humpf!"
