"..." Cassandra stood up slowly, grabbed her staff and pulled out a bill and some coins then put it on the table. While she didn't get her food- more precisely, her food was taken away from her, she ordered it so she will pay what she ordered. Maybe because of this she can get an on the house order as collateral for her payment now. She hungrily stormed out of the guild, gripping her staff out of anger.
She surveyed the place, the civilians of all races panicking lightly as they hurry back to their home, the mercenaries storming into the Guild shortly after. Looking upward, she saw smoke billowing up from the coliseum, along with sparks of fire. A pungent smell of oil wafted when the warrior walked towards the arena, rushing after. She arrived to the center of the coliseum in a minute, seeing five mutated monsters of civilians with people in cult-like robes.
"Besides everything in front of me, what's happening here?" asked the woman. Ye Qiu was there already, along with Mei Ling. Cassandra rendezvoused with the other two, ready to strike.
"Good question, we rushed here as soon as we heard the explosion and the rumbling." said Mei Ling, staring at the massive tear that took a large piece of the coliseum's ring structure. Upon surveying, the monsters there was a mutated land dragon, lizard, hawk, snake, and beetle. There was a retainer for each animal, who showed the top of their left palms marked with five trailing comets forming a bramble of a ring with a dragon eye in the middle. These same marks could be seen on the monster's skin branded crudely upon it.
"The ever peaceful kingdom of Ensteris has been broken since the siege of the Contractor! Tryndamere has fallen! Back then, Senadia would have never let something like this happen! Her love-sickened harlot of an heiress is missing and the princess is a useless bargaining tool that doesn't know how to lead a country!" shouted the cult member who didn't have a mask on. He had spiky light blue hair and contrasting heretical red eyes. His voice had a nice and calm tone, but with his shouting it could terrify anyone.
"What is he saying?" asked Ye Qiu, who evidently sounds confused. Mei Ling and Cassandra looked at each other before smacking the male on both arms.
"Ow! What was that for?" asked the male, rubbing his arms in pain. The women were very strong.
"Honestly? No idea." chuckled Cassandra.
"I went in because I felt like she'll do it too!" added Mei Ling, her tone horribly cheerful.
"These three... ignoring us like we're wind! Hey, you there!" shouted the light blue-haired cult member, trying to get their attention.
"Yeah? What about us?" asked the redheaded warrior, unfazed of what's happening. She lacked information as to what brought this on, plus there wasn't any dead people around, they seemed to have only caused property damage. Their leashed beasts looked incredibly docile, but the drool that three of the beasts had letting out looked quite ready to lash out at their masters.
"You're not going to attack us?"
"Have you attacked anyone besides destroying a portion of the coliseum?"
"...No, but-"
"We're not natives to Ensteris, so why should we apprehend you when you've done nothing to us?" Cassandra cut off the male.
"Did you not hear what I said?!" He shouted.
"No, we heard you." She replied nonchalantly.
"Then why aren't you doing anything?!" angrily shouted the male.
"Did you not hear what I said?" She repeated the man's words.
"I did!" retorted the cult member.
"So why are you asking us that question?" Cassandra said her piece, and the cult member had a horridly confused expression.
Kingdom guards wrapped around the place, filtering in slowly through the coliseum. There were two distinct characters amongst these guards, a blonde male carrying a flagpole with a spearhead and a gigantic, dark black-like purple armor more evil looking than the cult members. The large figure of armor had a shield mounted on its left arm easily the size of a normal adult male, and a lance attached to it that is half its size. He's a lot more terrifying not only of his armor's appearance and his height, but the fact that his helmet is open masked so people could see his face, but there's nothing there but light blue orbs sitting comfortably in his mask that is the top half of a human skull.
The blonde male with soft yet spiky shoulder-length hair looked at the cult members then the three martial artists for a brief moment, before resting his flagpole that is at least half as tall as him. The giant armor looked around briefly, surveying for bodies. There were none but rubble.
