Chapter 39 - THOMAS VET LEARN OF HIS MARRIAGE

Going to the bathroom, wondering, 'How long we will continue like this? I knew she felt something for me, her concerns and actions prove that, but I can't blame her for avoiding me.

I force her into a marriage she never wanted? I know she thinks about Paul. They say love is blind and I am certain he only shows her his good side.

I am sure she blames herself for his behavior, thinking he is hurting and was spitting out his rage and vengeance, but my visit to her family clearly proves my theory was right.

He had started the rumor in the village, and when he saw me in Church that Sunday after service ended. As I produce our marriage certificate and a wedding card for the people to see, I could see his rage.

No one need to know the truth, the important thing is, she is not living in sin and is not the one to be blame for my stupidity.

Now her family name is saved and Errol seems a very understanding person. His main concerns are her happiness. Her father in the other hand looks a bit rough and stern which is most welcoming to me.

Because, I got myself a virgin, maybe if Dad was more like him. Today the girls might be more responsible and appreciative of what God has bless them with.

Visiting her family gives me a better insight of her, and the way she thinks, but she confused me so much at times.

Meeting the three smaller ones was very interesting, none of them is like her. No, one told me how many brothers and sisters they were.

Including Christa, I met five others so how many more are there? Thinking about it now, I should have accepted their invitation to their home, at least I would have met her mom.

None of whom I saw resembled her, and she is entirely different. They were well dressed, so why does she choose to dress so weird?

And one minute she looks so concern, then she changes as fast as the weather. God, she is so unpredictable, but I don't want to lose her, I must have patience."

Lying on the settee, Thomas admire how comfortable she looks on his bed. "One of these good days, you will come to me, and I will be waiting patiently.

All those beautiful women I met before in my life had touched me in similar ways, but not once their touch draw me as you did.

I never really saw your beauty, but hearing your friends got me thinking. Only when we made love, I could not think straight.

God from the moment you touch me, I lost control of my heart, there was no room to think."

Happy that the fan has truly done justice, I have the coolness and you seem to enjoy sleeping on my bed. Closing his eyes smiling, 'Soon we will sleep in each other arms.'

The next morning Thomas calls his own Vet, Bill to come in and examine the cows. When I told Bill two weeks ago one of the cows die. "Tom, I could be wrong but just suppose the person did the same a few days ago?"

"Look Bill, I haven't told anyone what had transpired. I have to know who knew it was poison the cow was injected with? If only I had some evidence.

Can you call your friend and find out who calls the vet? Because I don't know who to trust, good thing my wife insisted that he examined each animal."

"Your wife, Tom, I had no idea you were married?"

"Sorry, but the workers don't know, and she is always in the pen. The men think, she is my house guest but she is very good with the animals.

You won't believe it but a few weeks ago she was able to deliver one of my prized cows. We all thought the bull died when she helps to pull him out the mother.

But she blows her breadth into his mouth until he began breading, come and see him for yourself."

Walking to the pen, "You said she help pull him out of the mother?"

"Yes, I saw it myself."

"Then, I hope you don't mind but I will like to meet her, I need an assistant with me."

"You are joking right, that's my wife you are talking about?"

"So, if she like animals and did what you said, don't you think she will be beneficial to your ranch? Not everyone likes this kind of work?"

"Okay, if she agrees I won't stop her but you better not force her. Oh and I hope you will remember she is my wife?"

Laughing the way, he stresses, "That's his wife."

"Okay Buddy, I will remember that, but there's no need to worry. My Jill, might warn her of the same way you did me."

"Are you married?"

"Not yet, but your wife might be very helpful in driving her faster to make up her mind.

When Bill laugh saying, "I won't even let Jill know that she is your wife, and she belongs to someone else?"

"You are playing with fire, a woman wrath is very intolerable especially if she is right."

"You could be right but only for a few days. If only she will give up this idea of waiting until she is twenty-five. By the way how old is your wife?"

Bill notices how he counts with his fingers, "Oh, over twenty- five."

Thomas thought back to when he checked her thicket and her date of birth. "Tom, you don't know your wife age?"

"It's a long story but one of these days, I will share it with you." Smilingly Thomas thought I have never counted it or think about it, but she is twenty-six and very soon will be her birthday.

Seeing the men coming out of the field, "Boss, we had no idea you were here?" Jason responds.

"I had no idea who that vet was yesterday, a friend had arranged for him to come and do a complete checkup, and it had completely slip my mind.

So I call Bill to update me, can you tell me who attended to the animals yesterday around lunchtime?"

"Boss, I was the only one here yesterday from after lunch until say three."

"That's true boss, Joseph answers, "The others needed some extra hand with the cleaning up of the pen.

The same way we past the torch here, they did the same in the other pens, just to be on the safe side."

"So, Jason you were here alone?"

"Yes Boss."

"Did we had any visitors yesterday?"

"No Sir."

"Okay carry on, Bill and I have some vitamins treatment to work out."

In the van Thomas said, "Bill, Jason had been working for me for over eight years, And from what you see and heard the cow was injected.

Now between you and I, I trust Jason, so has someone come in and did this, unknown to him?

Do I have an enemy or is there someone that is trying to frame him, and who is it that found the syringe?"

"I cannot answer you but I believe at no time you should have one man staying in the pen alone.

Most of those cows are your prized animals, and you cannot afford to lose them."

"I know Bill, so we have to strategize a new plan, how about you recommend a course of booster for them."
