Chapter 4 - Presence

{Kyrie's Point Of View}

Around Midnight

"Hm? What?"

I woke up shivering in my bed. I opened one eye and realized my blanket lay at the foot of my bed. I groaned. I was tired, and quite honestly, I felt too lazy to try to move and pick it up. However, I forced myself to crawl over and pick it up off the ground and pull it back over my shoulders. I lay back down on my side with a yawn, and closed my eyes, allowing the weight of my Exhaustion to pull me back into a restful, yet dreamless sleep. I slowly faded from consciousness, on the edge between being awake and being asleep. Suddenly I opened my eyes once again, and noticed my blanket was no longer covering me completely. It was only covering me from the knees down.

"Again?"

I sat up and looked at my blanket, completely dumbfounded. I was sure I haven't moved at all as I was beginning to fall asleep...Then how could it be possible that It was now only covering not even half of my body? I began to grow slightly curious...and a little scared. I grabbed the top of my blanket and slowly pulled it up to my hips and let it go. I stared at it for the next couple of minutes. Nothing happened.

"Whatever." I said, laying back down.

I was too tired. maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me. Or perhas I was moving, and not realizzing it. I closed my eyes once more and tried to fall asleep again, but now I couldn't. I had another uneasy feeling that I was being watched. Why was that so? Nobody was in the room with me but myself. I locked my door to avoid anybody sneaking in. The only people who could open my door were Saiya and Maxis...but only with a hand scan. Was I afraid of the dark? No...I wasn't. Nothing has ever happened to me to give me a valid reason to fear the dark. I mean...the darkness made me feel slightly lonely.

Suddenly I felt my covers move. I opened my eyes again, not moving a hustle, but only using my eyes to look. The motions stopped. I suddenly felt the same sensations as I did the night I woke up. goosebumps formed on my skin, and I felt a cold draft of air that was colder than the room itself.

"Ah!"

I quickly switched on the lamp next to my bed. The area surrounding my bed was illuminated by the light of the lamp. I looked again, No one was here. The room was completely empty. The dreaded feeling of being watched had faded. I let out a heavy sigh. I rubbed my face. I was really confused now. What was happening? what was making my covers come off of me? Was I dreaming?

I laid down and left my lamp on. I stared at the ceiling overhead. I shook my head.

Something isn't right.
