The Lakeside Town, Yumin—Guildhall [9:58 AM].
Within the guildhall, a silver blue-haired woman silently sat by an empty table on the side of the room. There, she placed down three tarot cards on the table as she read through them.
"My, she's very late huh?" The woman said whilst crossing her legs.
On the other side of the room, was a blue-haired man who leaned onto the walls, his eyes turned towards the woman as he replied to her. "Sigh... This girl still hasn't woken up..." he shook his head helplessly.
"It's typical of Fei, you know?" The woman chuckled. "Though, does she really want to be punished this badly? She's an hour late!"
"Aha... Well, I guess it's only a matter of time before she arrives," the man replied, "Damian did say she'll come around this time."
"Hmm, he did? When was this?" She asked as she curiously looked over towards the man.
"He told me during my morning run in the fields," he answered. "He said since he couldn't wake Fei up in time, he asked to delay the exam by an hour or so."
"Sigh... Delaying the exam? My, just yesterday I said I'd be strict with the schedule..." She helplessly shook her head. "If this was any other place, she'd have lost the opportunity by now."
"Well, it can't be helped. You know how Fei is," the man shrugged. "You should've probably gone to her house to directly wake her up."
"Sigh... Maybe I should have, seeing as how she is sleeping past time..."
The moment the woman spoke out, the door of the guildhall suddenly barged open as a young girl scurried into the building. The girl gasped for air the moment she entered.
However, although she was gasping for air, without any minute to lose, she turned to the woman as she shouted out. "AHHHH!! ORELIA! IM SO SORRY!"
"Tsk, tsk, Fei... You're an hour late, you know that?" Orelia crossed her arms as she stood up from her seat.
"H-Have mercy, please! I know I overslept, but... It wasn't my fault neither dad nor Damian woke me up!" The young girl—Fei reasoned.
"...you know, Fei, for all the times I tried to call you up, you slept like an elephant." From behind, Damian walked into the building as he helplessly said.
"You could've barged into my room you know!" she pouted.
"Your door was locked, Fei. I would've done that ages ago if it weren't for that."
"Hmm... what do you think Roy? Should I give her mercy?" Orelia looked over towards the man leaning onto the wall as she asked.
"You can do that, I guess. All that matters now is that we can finally start the exam," he replied as he began to make his way over towards the two siblings.
"I see, so giving her mercy it is," Orelia nodded her head.
"Woohoo! Yay! I won't receive a death sentence!" Fei jumped for joy.
The moment Fei cheered, Orelia quickly turned back to Fei as she gave her a smile. "However... If you flunk the exam, you won't be getting out of here alive~"
"AHHH NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!" Fei abruptly took a step back as she quickly hid behind the back of Roy who was approaching them.
"Hehe, now anyways~! Are you two prepared for the exam?" Orelia asked.
"O-Of course I am! I have my battle-pocket with me, my weapon and my will! I'm ready!" Fei said, still hiding behind Roy. "S-So I won't fail..."
"...then why are you acting so scared all of a sudden?" Damian raised his brow.
"T-That's because of Orelia's punishment!" she cried out. "Just imagining what she'll do is horrifying...!"
"Calm down, Fei... It's not as bad as you think..." Roy calmly said.
"N-Not as bad? Just look at what she did to Xander!" she continued to cry out. "T-those endless amounts of assignments and extra exams..."
"Oh come on! Some little extra assignments and extra missions won't hurt, right? I'm sure someone like you could easily handle the tasks as Xander did!" Orelia chuckled. "And besides~ This is only IF you fail! For Xander's case, although he passed, he nearly messed up, so I've gotta put some more work in him!"
Orelia, a guild ranker of the Yumin guild branch. A motherly figure to Fei and Damian, oftentimes filling in the role of a caretaker when their dad, Kruz wasn't around.
Outside of that role, she would also train and instruct the two siblings in combat and lectures. Although her ways are oftentimes brutal as she showed no mercy to her pupils.
"...that's way too much!" Fei shouted out.
"If it's too much, then don't fail. It's as simple as that," Damian shrugged.
"Jee you..." Fei glared at Damian.
"Ahem... It's true that Orelia's err... punishment is way too over the top, but just take it as a chance to improve yourself," Roy said.
"Aww, Roy. It's not over the top! I mean, compared to anything else, this is the best of them all!"
"...sigh. I guess," Roy shrugged. "Anyways, just take it as a learning experience."
For Roy, he was a guild ranker of the Yumin Branch as well. Although he wasn't as close to Fei and Damian as well as Orelia was, he treated them with goodwill. During his free time, he would spar with Fei and teach her the ways of using the spear.
"Take it as a learning experience? I'll try..." Fei let out a sigh.
"Or, instead of trying, maybe just pass the exam?" Damian said.
"Hehe, now, enough chit chat! We should move on to the exams now as we're way behind schedule yes?" Orelia said.
"Yes!" Fei said as she turned to Damian. "I'll prove that I won't fail the exam!"
"Now that's the spirit!" she happily said. "Come now, follow me." She gestured over towards the two siblings as she led them towards an old fashioned counter upfront. Behind the counter, was a woman who tended to the area.
