Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Rest in peace

An army of thousands of soldiers marched past small towns and villages. Many curious eyes watched the large group of individuals with interest. If anyone paid close attention to the Wendigo with baby blue hair they would notice in her arms was a bundle.

A bundle of what? No one knew except for the large army themselves.

Others would have assumed it was a baby in her arms. If only they knew how far from the truth they were from. This large group of over two thousand disappear once more inside the forest with the blue hair individual leading the way on-top of a pure white elephant.

Once back home they unpacked their luggage and headed to their respective jobs. Such as remodelling the cavern that has yet to be touched by the Wendigos hands. Dyllis passed off the buddle to Blaze, departing her a few orders. Tobca the water fae princess pulled Dyllis aside "Tell me about your race, I want to learn more about you" Tobca stated with eyes of wonder.

Dyllis became stiff at the mention of her race "Alright, I will tell you of my race origins" Dyllis spoke thoughtfully, it was Tobca right since she will be living a long time with her. 'Hey, the system can I tell her one of the stories that I use to hear about from my uncle?' Dyllis asked finally remembering it might be a taboo topic.

"Host there's no problem with telling Tobca about your 'origins' you can tell her you are from another planet but no matter what never tell Tobca about the system" The system answer cleanly, shutting up once more. Dyllis pulled Tobca into their shared bedroom and sat down on their queen-sized bed. Dyllis scratched the back of her head not sure about where to start.

She took a breath in trying to calm her nerves ``Tobca I'm not originally from this planet" Dyllis spoke slowly worried about how Tobca would react.

She didn't say anything, she just sat on the bed next to her in complete silence. "There are other planets besides this one?" Tobca voice her doubt, her brows furrowed with disbelief.

Dyllis nodded solemnly "Yes the planet that I hailed from is an all-human planet" Dyllis tried her best to explain. She looked deeply into her girlfriend's coal colour eyes lovingly. Her brows furrow more in confusion.

That reflects into her beautiful eyes. "Well from that world I am nothing but a myth and so are others whom you would've seen here in this world. if there were other races besides humans they would have been taken into a test or been executed." Dyllis paused for a moment before she continued.

"I was human once, I died a heroic death even if you can call it that. I died by saving a stranger who was being ganged up by a group of scumbags that can do nothing better than harass the hard-working citizens" Dyllis's voice wavered, she clenched her fist tightly remembering everything.

Tobca rubs the cannibal back hoping to comfort her in some way. She inhaled deeply "When I woke up I was in ashen lands or as this world calls it. The land of death" exhaling slowly afterwards.

Tobca tosses her another look of confusion "Well when I lived in my old world, I had an uncle that took me in and looked after me ever since I lost my birth parents. He used to tell me Folklore or myths about magical creatures. My favourite story was about the wendigo" Dyllis spoke with tears in the corner of her eyes.

"Wendigos are known as warriors that have sold their soul to the devil to protect their clans," Dyllis explained one of the stories that her uncle had told her once. Tobca stares intently at Dyllis "So did you sell your soul to the devil?" Tobca asked.

Dyllis shook her head "I believe That I was reborn because of my corrupted soul, I heard a divine being called out to me from the void" Dyllis looked off into the distance.

Remembering a very distant voice calling out to her "How is your soul corrupted?" the water fae tilted her head genuinely curious. The wendigo shaman chuckled, "Only heaven knows why," Dyllis replied. Tobca stops rubbing Dyllis's back. The wendigo shaman got off of her butt and walked out of the bedroom to let all of the information sinks into Tobca's brain.

Later that day Blake the wendigo child approached the shaman "Dyllis, it's done" Blake spoke tiredly. They rubbed their eyes and yawned, tugging at dyllis' shirt the wendigo child brought dyllis to the main hallway. A pedestal with a black pillow sat lonely in the usually empty hallway, on top of the pillow laid a porcelain-looking head.

It was none other than Yukiharu's decapitated head, that's well preserved inside a glass case to protect it from accidents. Dyllis claps her hands together, giggling with glee "Your royal highness feels honoured to be my first trophy!" She happily spoke to the deadhead as if it would reply to her.

'It's normal to talk to decapitated heads' dyllis reassures herself from the judgmental stares of her clan members. Dyllis' eyes wander downwards where a silver plate with words is carved into the metal.

'Yukiharu, death by getting eaten alive'

Dyllis affectionately caressed the glass "Aren't I a good friend" Dyllis playfully laughed at the head. Click! Clack! Click Clack! Swirling around swiftly the cannibal's vision is grace by the only water fae. Dyllis' smile widened seeing her favourite person in this world "What's that?" Tobca's eyes linger over the head on display "Yukiharu, I am not too evil to not give him a fine resting place" Dyllis replied in a chirpy mood.

Tobca glance at the wendigo child within raised eyebrow, blake shrugged then left swiftly not wanting to be a part of what's to happen next. Dyllis looked over at Tobca exactly, Tobca sighed but proceeded to walk closer to the case. Looking it over she nodded with a small smile "Good job" Dyllis brightened up even more after getting praised.

"What do you plan to do next, Dyllis?" Tobca looked at the cannibal exactly, the cannibal scratch the back of her head "I was thinking of taking over this country, little by little" Dyllis replied cheekily, the water fae raised her perfectly arched eyebrows "And whys that?" the shaman's once playful expression turns aloof.

"Well, I will need to grow my clan and have a stable human farm" the shaman explains simply with a golden glint. "And what about the innocents in those settlements?" the fae asked genuinely curious. Dyllis smiled became dark "I will let them escape" she gave the water fae a knowing smile "Kill and farm the corrupt. They are more beneficial for our army" The wendigo shaman stated in a plain tone.

"The sin inside these corrupted humans hearts strengthen our abilities, but each heart will only strengthen us so far" the wendigo mind wandering off to all of those hearts she had eaten.
