Chapter 49 - chapter 49: Interesting bunch

Earlier they headed into the woods they took a small break "I forgot to introduce myself and the rest" Stacy the owl beast woman spoke as she sat across from Dyllis who was eating jerky discreetly.

Dyllis slightly nodded her head and continue eating "well my name is Stacy Barn, I'm an owl beast human. I am also an archer" Stacy finished introducing herself.

Stacy gesture to a big lady who had plenty of well-defined muscles "This lovely woman right here is Grollola, she is our tank and a gorilla beast human" Grollola nodded in Dyllis's direction as Stacy continued to the next lady.

The next woman she gesture to had Amber's brown hair that reached her ears. She wore thick round glasses that looked like clogs and two twin tail swords hang off her waist "This Intriguing lady is Phillipe Clockworks, she is a bunny beast human and she is a master of her sword arts" Stacy spoke proudly of Phillipe as the latter blushed in embarrassment.

Dyllis notice the droopy long rabbit ears poking out from underneath her hat that blend with her hair making them barely noticeable. Stacy introduces the next beast woman "This is Tracy Fategile, she is a rat beast human and the assassin of our group, she specializes in daggers and sneak attacks" Tracy smiled wearily at Dyllis and pulled up her hood and mask. Tracy's mask covered up half of her face only showing her piercing red eyes. She had rectangular shape ears poking out of her hood, her ears being the colour gray. Her long rat tail laid out in the open from a hole in the back of her jacket that reminded her of a game called assassin's creed.

Once she had finished the introduction she spoke again "Where are going into a C grade Tomb, our mission is to get the book called ice land. From what our hirer said. It's an icy blue book covered in snow and ice. It's a book that has every ice magic that exists" Stacy spoke seriously as she talked about the job, Dyllis listen with great interest.

"to enter this tomb we need five people, which includes one of them being a mage" she paused as she gesture towards Dyllis "There will be some puzzles that require the use of magic which, Dyllis is the only one with magic. Remember to stay on high alert as a lot of monsters has made this tomb their home" she took another breath.

"We can keep any loot that we find in there as our employer just wants that book" finished with talking she looked towards Dyllis "I have no problem with this" Dyllis confirmed willing to just take loot as her pay. Stacy grinned like a Chester cat, as she got off her butt and started walking again as the rest of the women follow behind her "I forgot to ask what kind of mage are you?" Stacy is here as she skips along ahead of everyone.

"I am a dark mage attribute, I mostly know buff spells. But I am sure I can use some attack spells as well" Dyllis spoke with confidence, Stacy turned around, now walking backwards. "Then does that mean you can do necromancy?" she question as dark magic is usually used for necromancy, Dyllis let out a low chuckle "No, the closet I get to a necromancer is curse magic. I can make someone as undead but not bring the dead back to life" Dyllis explained how her magic works a bit.

The harpy woman yellow eyes sparkled in interest as she turn back around, the party of five women continue going through the forest as red colour leaves floated down. The once bright sun that was raised high into the sky slowly fallen leaving a beautiful sunset, unluckily for Dyllis she couldn't see it as the dense forest blocked her view.

"Okay ladies let a camp here, everyone gets your tent set up" Stacy spoke with authority as they pulled tents out of simply nowhere, Dyllis just stood there for a while as they set their tents up "Stacy I'm going to get some wood" the cannibal spoke as her stomach slightly rumbled in hunger, Stacy curtly nodded her head as Dyllis left the area to go find some sticks and dried leaves.

Walking about she found plenty of leaves and sticks, she put them away in her Saturn storage necklace, pulled out a leg from her food storage and carefully chow it down as no blood splatter got on her clothing. Her stomach stopped rumbling, tossing the bones aside she walked back into camp as the sky started to turn dark blue.

Dyllis walked to the middle of the camp and started to set up the fire, using one stick on a leaf as she started to create friction as smoke started to come off as a tiny flame emerged. During this opportunity, she placed more dried leaves as the fire grew bigger eventually lighting the sticks on fire. Satisfaction crossed her face as her eyes shined brightly at her achievement, Dyllis added more sticks before she backed away a few feet "Did you bring a tent with you?" a strong voice ask, startling Dyllis she turned around to see Gorllola, everything about this woman looked mighty.

"No I did not" Dyllis replied casually as she is slightly relaxed, "You can bunk with me if ya want" Grollola spoke loudly, Dyllis smiled at the offer "No thanks Gorllola, I think imma just keep watch" Dyllis politely decline the gorilla woman offer "suit your self" she huff as she left Dyllis alone.

Dyllis walked up to a tree and started climbing to one of the lower branches, she sat on the branch as she watched the others eat some bread and salted meat around the fire. Dallas pulled out a bag of human jerky and started eating as she kept her eye out for any magical beast.

She hum softly to herself as she watched her surroundings as the others had long since gone to sleep, Dyllis hopped off the tree branch as she sense a C- the monster in other wards a rank 2 if she remembers correctly. A boar looking like a monster with a huge tusk appeared in her view, gold in colour.

Dyllis brace herself as she conjure up a black ball of darkness that flew towards the golden boar, the boar tried to dodge the attack but failed running the other direction. Once hit the boar body had black sludge coming out of its eye sockets and mouth, it felt it's body weaken as the black gooey substance kept pouring out.

It charge at Dyllis hopping to injured the wendigo as it collided with Dyllis's unmoving body it heard a crack as a wave of pain course through its tusk, stepping back to its despair. The golden boar's lovely strong golden tusk had broken off as Dyllis's body had no injury. Dyllis smiled at the pathic golden boar "I heard that golden boars catch a fair price at the food market" Dyllis spoke towards the boar whose body started to wobble.

It squeals in disbelief at what Dyllis was saying. Dyllis smiled warmly at her newly found money maker as she waited for it to finally fall dead onto the leafy floor. A window popped up in front of Dyllis's eyes it said 'Congrats host for killing a golden boar, exp 2,673 gained and added to exp Hoarder title' Dyllis's eye twitch reading the title again.

Before she could throw a fit again another screen popped up 'host has created a new spell called, Curse slime' Dyllis felt slightly proud as she got a new skill for attacking purposes "System give me a summary of Curse slime" Dyllis spoke eagerly as the screen popped up.

Curse slime: it's a ball of black slime that curses anything that it touches, It makes black sludge leak out of target upon contact, during this time this curse is active is will weaken your opponent and convert all of its blood into sludge that host can absorb and convert it into extra mana or exp. Curse slime' last only for one minute.

'how useful' Dyllis thought to herself as she made her way back to her tree to relax as she watched the area for any more magical beast. Not much else happened during the night besides a few monsters appearing and Dyllis ended up dealing with them by either using magic or her overwhelming strength, she had put all of them away into her space Saturn necklace.

By sunrise, everyone woke up and they continue their journey, as they proceeded north, the air became freezing as they walked deeper into the forest eventually snow landed on the ground, the trees around them gradually started to change as well, black and white wood appeared all around them as their leafs looked like ice, strange fruits grew on these trees.

Dyllis put on a coat made from a bear hide, it kept her body from being an icicle. She put on all necessary winter equipment as they arrive at an icy tomb.
