Chapter 50 - chapter 50: Is this really a tomb?

The parties of beast humans and one cannibal arrived at an icy castle, only one thought went through the cannibal's head 'Is this a tomb? And not Elsa castle?' she questions herself as her mouth had fallen agape.

Stacy turned around as she looked at the whole crew behind her "Everyone put on your cold-resistant bracelet" Stacy spoke clearly as she pulled out a blue beaded bracelet as did everyone else and put it on their wrists. Stacy passed a bracelet to Dyllis she gladly accepts it happy she doesn't have to wear all of her winter clothing and possibly get them to ruin.

She put the bracelet on her left wrist and felt a sense of tranquillity as her chattering teeth stopped in their tracks, she felt like it was just early September where it is not too cold nor too hot. Dyllis took off her winter clothing and hid it away into her inventory as she looked up to the ice castle.

"Ladies before we go inside there's one thing I should warn you. The tomb may or may not be haunted by an ice Prince mage who is looking for his long-lost beloved" Stacy spoke sternly as she eyes everyone "if he finds you pretend to be a statue." As Stacy said that Dyllis notice everyone turned blue and ice-like.

"Great another ice Prince to deal with" Dyllis mumbled under her breath "Did you say something Dyllis?" Phillipe asked as she titled her head, "Oh it's nothing, just thinking out loud" Dyllis replied as she itch her nose feeling slightly embarrassed. Phillipe smiled in the cannibal direction as Dyllis spoke "Stacy ain't there some sort of puzzle we have to do to get inside" changing topics quickly she asked a question.

"Yes, follow me this way" Stacy started walking towards a gate made of ice, in front of the said gate there are five circles, each circle plate had a carving of a class. Each stone plate had weird spelling on them making Dyllis furrow her brows as the words looked familiar to her, she went closer to the plates and crouch in front of it as she Soley focus on the words.

Dyllis eyes gleamed in wonder as the so-called words were in French, she got up and checked the other circle stones and to her surprised, they were also in French. As Dyllis previously lived in Canada and learning French was mandatory when she went to school, she learned basic french. As she enters high school she chooses not to further learn the language and only knew the basics.

"Gorilla step on the shield stone, Phillipe steps on the sword stone, Tracy please step on the assassin stone, and Stacy please step on the archer stone" Dyllis finished speaking as the women went in order in stepping on their stones. The stones lit up in a white hue finally it was Dyllis turn to step on the mage stone which had a staff.

Dyllis felt a dizzy sensation as her sight became blurry, she closed her eyes to help recover and when she opened them she and the rest were on the other side of the gate "I'll get off first since this needs to be in order or we might get turned into real statues" Dyllis explained as she read the word on the plate 'Reverse' Dyllis carefully got off, as everyone else follows suit.

Tracy came running up to Dyllis "How do you know how to read a dead language?" Tracy asked as her eyes beamed in wonder "I only know the basics of this language" Dyllis smiled sheepishly. The wendigo grabbed a bag of jerky from her food storage to start eating as her gut feeling told her she would need it. The others in the group eyed Dyllis weirdly before they started climbing the ice steps, as expected the stairs are quite slippery so Dyllis and everyone else holds onto the railing for deal life as they ascend the icy staircase up as they slip a bit, struggling up the staircase as they catch their breath midway before continuing their journey up the steps.

Finally, up the staircase, the ladies move about finding that the landing ain't slippery at all unlike the staircase "must be hell to climb up those Stairs every day" Dyllis could hear Tracy mumbled under her breath. "Agreed" Phillipe agrees with the assassin beast human.

Dyllis glance at the large door made of ice, she realized that there is a Formation that can only be activated by magic alone. Dyllis let out a sigh and waltz up to the door and place her hand in the middle and started inputting her mana into the door hoping it wouldn't take much. A force of suction gripped Dyllis hand and drank up her mana greedily, Dyllis out a groan of pain.

"Dyllis are you okay?" asked the harpy woman, the Wendigo clench her teeth "I would say yes if only this door wasn't so greedy for mana" She spoke through clenched teeth as she quince in pain at the suction force. Finally, after ten minutes it stopped Dyllis collapse to the floor. She gasp for air, a stinging pain ran throughout her body 'system why do I feel pain from getting my mana to suck out?' she asked in her mind, wanting an explanation for her misery.

"Host mana vein has been overworked, I suggest that host eats some humanoid flesh to help repair your mana vein as the current supply of flesh you have aten will not be enough to fully heal your mana veins" the system spoke in a monotone. Dyllis Grunted as she summon her humanoid jerky again, stuffing her face full and swallowing without chewing the others who wanted to help her up stop in their steps confused by Dyllis behaviour.

The ice door flew open as Dyllis Gulf down her third bag of jerky "Host can stop eating now this much will suffice" the system spoke into her ears. Dyllis calmed herself down and ate another bag and a half of humanoid jerky and got up. "Well the door open" Gorllola stated the obvious, Phillipe walked up to Dyllis "are you feeling better now?" Phillipe asked a bit worried, Dyllis could only smile helplessly "yeah, I just need to recharge my mana" Dyllis respond.

'System what's my current mana bar percentage at?' Dyllis asked the feeling concern, after a moment it spoke "34.6% is left host" it voice faded out after answering Dyllis concerns. Stacy soon got Dyllis and the rest's attention by coughing loudly "let's head in and explore before this darn door closes" Stacy stated with a deadpanned look, she Waltz into the castle and the rest follow suit.

Dyllis looked around the icy chambers splitting off from the rest because of huge the castle of ice is. Stacy agreed that they will be split up and go in pairs, leaving Dyllis to herself. Currently, Dyllis is looking throughout the west wing of the castle which had the bedrooms. So Dyllis waltz into each room and check every nook and cranny turning the frosty chambers upside down.

The deeper Dyllis walked into the rest she found disturbing life-like ice statutes "Hey system were these real people?" Dyllis asked genuinely curious about the life-like statues. She felt one of the statues that are in a butler attire, he looked to be cleaning a bookshelf.

Unlike most of the castles, the books weren't made of ice, she pulled one out from the shelf and looked over the cover before oping the book, the pages had snow flecks decoration around the pages "Frostbite?" Dyllis mumbled in wonder flipping through the pages. She continued searching the shelves, only to find poetry and love stories. Dyllis closed the last book and place it back on the shelf, about to take her to leave a hairy hand punched Dyllis in the face, Dyllis slightly stumbled backwards clutching her face 'if whatever punch me breaks my mask I'll be fucken done for' she thought bitterly.

Dyllis focus her sight on a six-foot Yeti looking like a beast that had three eyes, it didn't relent as it pulled back its large fist to strikeout. The wendigo jumped backwards avoiding the two swings "Curse slime" Dyllis chanted as a black sphere formed in three seconds after it fully forms it struck the Yeti-like.

The creature tried to block the attack by punching the sphere of dark slime. A gassy glow surround the Yeti beast, the health bar above it ticked off one health point only to generate. "A frost troll just my luck" Grumbling she doge another one of its attacks. The frost troll growled in anger every time she doge it attacks, lucky for Dyllis this beast has no magic, it was just a brute.

"Dark advancement" Dyllis mutter under her breath, black flames surrounded her fist as she punched forward restlessly hitting the troll with multiple jabs, a vein on the troll appeared upset by the weak looking. The troll didn't stand around and do anything, it attacks Dyllis head-on confident in its regeneration ability, as time passed Dyllis deactivated her buff and fought with brute strength saving her remaining 12% of mana.

The frost troll white fur became a bloody mess as time went on, it notice that Dyllis wasn't taking any damage no matter how hard it punch Dyllis. Punching Dyllis caused the troll fist to become sore and broken, each time it punch Dyllis a good amount of its health bar went down.

Dyllis punch the beast in the eye causing it to stumble back in pain before calling over dying on the spot as its health bar hits zero. Dyllis nose scrunch up in disgust because of the troll blood smell, it smelled like mouldy cheese that had sunbathed under the sun for a few months.

She wipe her hands off on the snow blanket and put the troll body away inside her Saturn storage necklace, quickly exiting the room.
