Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: No way to escape

Staring at the man before her she froze feeling awkward and unsettled that she mistakes her Tobca for another. The fae in front of her looked very similar to her lover, the only difference was their faces and genders.

"So who sent you monster?" The water fae hissed at Dyllis keeping their guards up even though they were a bit more playful earlier their demeanour took a 180-degree turn for the worst. Dyllis can tell this man in front of her was 10 times her level "No one did" her hoarse voice spoke out.

The fae male didn't believe a word of what she just said "Where ever theirs a walking corpse there will always be a necromancer right behind them" A large battle axe made out of a blue solid substance appeared out of thin air, Dyllis stood her ground even though she couldn't die by other means than by sliver.

She was terrified for her life, if she still had a heartbeat it would have pounded out of her rib cage by now. He cast a wicked grin towards pearl "After I kill you and your master, I'll take this beautiful beast right next to you" He sneered.

What skill can I use she thought quickly as she pulled out her skills menu.

Skills: Great Sense of Smell lv3, Slash lv4, Bite lv5, Mimic lv3, Wendigo Fever lv1

Looking at her skills her none-beating heart sank to the bottom of her stomach, Why are all my skills so basic? How do I get new skills? This system really is a pile of shit. Snapping out of her inner argument she barely dodges the giant battle-axe, a light smark appeared on her cheek as small droplets of black blood oozed out before healing up.

She holds her hands up in surrender "Can we please just talk this out?" The male fae sinister smile widen "Sorry, Abomination but I have already made up my mind to kill you" he said sicken sweet as if he was just going to feed a kitten.

Using both his hands as he grips the battle-axe to prepare for another swing 'I know I won't die but like I rather not get pearl taken away from me' A thought came into her mind even though what she was about to do was quite stupid.

'System can I unsummoned Pearl?' the system answer right away "You can host but pearl will turn into a card and will be placed inside your soul to keep them safe" the system continues explaining as Dyllis tried her best not to get chopped into pieces.

She slowly made her way closer to pearl before placing her index finger on the elephant trunk while keeping her eye on her enemy before her. "Card form," she said quietly as the pearl turned bright light before entering into Dyllis body. The water fae before her looked at her amused by her current actions.

"You must be a very high-level undead" he commented as he took his sweet time waltzing over to where Dyllis was, knowing fully well she wouldn't be able to handle his next strike in all reality he was toying with the cannibal.

Dyllis knew this quite well that he looked down at her, she kicked off the ground launching herself in the air, it was the worst move, she had ever made since she was reincarnated as a Wendigo.

The male water fae launch himself up in the air as he moved his wings rapidly to gain more speed as he went in for the kill, slicing Dyllis in half. Her body quickly plummeted to the ground her bottom half being a few feet away from her upper half.

black slime oozed out of her served half's as life slowly drains from her face, she continues to whither around in pain like a cockroach as they get each leg pulled off for amusement.

It was a slow painful death as she slowly scummed to death with open arms. Seeing the ugly blue-haired cannibal had died he kicked the body for a good measure to make sure she stayed dead.

A light flashes through his eyes as he took off deeper into the woods in search of new prey. An hour had passed since she had died. A flock of ravens pecked at the rotting of Dyllis corpse.

A cruel shrilling shriek rang out through the forest as Dyllis soul was forcefully shoved right back into her physical, her eyes flutter opened only to see one black object above her face.

Her first reaction was to slap whatever was on her face-off, this startled the other ravens. The raven she smacked off laid on the ground helplessly cawing for help as it writher in pain. Small sharp pangs of pain exploded all over she felt like most of her body had been pecked off clean.

She examines her open wounds seeing they have indeed been pecked by ravens, checking her thick damaged thighs she quickly concluded that none of her manger muscle has been plucked out by the damn birds.

What surprised her is that she hasn't healed yet "System why am I not healing?" the system almost answer immediately "Ravens are poisonous birds that once they have peck you a venom like substance will enter that open wound and will slow down your healing process" The system spoke emotionless as always.

Dyllis furrow her brows "Will the venom kill me?" she asked in thought "No host it should run its course out of your body, It's poison is more effective on living beings.

Since she had a lot of time to spare Dyllis asked another question "Do they have any special property?" The system remain silent for an unknown amount of time before its robotic voice spoke again "Ravens have healing property's they can cure most diseases and can be used as an antidote for a few deadly poisons" With that said Dyllis picked up the helpless Raven.

It cawed sadly in her grip knowing it was the end of their life, she snapped its neck as it let out one final caw as if saying goodbye.
