Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

Over an hour has passed as the effect had finally worn out, Dyllis had been walking for some time as a warm feeling engulf her, the black liquid turned into a bubble over the wounds before popping showing clear smooth skin once more as if she wasn't getting eaten by a bunch of poisonous birds.

"That's new," she said to herself a bit startled, snapping out of her astonishment she kept on striding forward as she used her nose to track down Tobca.

She continues hiking through the woods for hours on end at a moderate speed, not wanting to take a misstep if she went too quickly. getting bored of seeing nothing but trees she opens up her system window.

'What the hell happened to my stats' Dyllis thought, furrowing her brows she only let out a sigh thinking her system did a last-minute update while she was out earlier. 'Hopefully, I can still see my stats numbers, I'll ask the system later...' letting out a tired sigh she continue following the trail.

Even though Tobca is stronger than her, she still worries about her lover. The least she wanted to do was warn her and find a new base where they would be safe and sound.

________

Tobca left their 'home' as she had become worried about Dyllis safety, it has already passed a whole day. Something inside her told Tobca that Dyllis was in extreme danger.

Little did she know she had barely escaped from death door, she walked deeper into the thick Forest. It was just her and the wildlife that lived in the woods, some of the magical beasts approached her only to be sliced in half.

She couldn't help the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach, she felt like at any moment she would start vomiting, she continues her hike even though the sun started to set, the more dangerous monsters would start coming out soon.

Even as night approach she kept walking in large strides until she stepped on something or someone?

Looking down her eyes ran over the humanoid-looking being, blue lucks of hair sticking out of the head that she was stepping on, even in the dark she could recognize who hair it was, taking her foot off of the person.

She rolled them over onto their back, feeling around the person's face. it felt like rough birch wood that has yet turned smooth, around the person's mouth was a bit softer. What she assumed was flesh that has peeled halfway off.

Picturing all of this in her mind it was no doubt it was her cannibal girlfriend, Tobca picked dyllis off the ground, she made no movements at all, it was hard to tell whether she was alive or not.

She wasn't a concern because this was normal for her, even when she went into a coma she wasn't sure if Dyllis was really dead or not. Even if she was, Tobca would have continued waiting for her. She had thousands of years to wait and she was willing to wait till she was at death door if she had to.

Cradling her girlfriend tight in her arms she went to go find a safe place for them both to wait the night out, Tobca was confined in her ability to protect the young girl but against too many enemies would surely be too much of a problem.

Even tobca couldn't guarantee Dyllis safety if that were to happen, as she sprints through the forest looking desperately for a safe little den as howls and cat-like roars sounded out around her.

she made a sudden stop as a huge lake appeared before her, turning around she could see a bunch of yellow and gray eyes looking straight back at her. There seemed to be about 20 of these creatures.

She moved the water leaving an opening for her and Dyllis to enter through as she ran underwater with no other choice. it closed right behind her as a few brave Felidae-like creatures tried going after them only getting wet in the process.

It took a lot of her strength to move the water out of her way as she found a secret door that had some ancient Fae markings, she quickly opens up the hatch at the bottom of the lake.

She hops inside why dyllis before closing the door as she heard water splashing against the stone door from the stone age times. She drags her hand across the wall looking for something before finding a rough round surface.

She pushes against it as the whole ruins lit up showing how it had decayed for the decades it hasn't been mended to. Scanning the area she notices jar's with floating golden hearts inside them.

A thought aroused inside her mind before she quickly push it back down. She looked at Dyllis worriedly as it was just her and Dyllis in the whole place it seems. Tobca could only pray to her god that Dyllis will not wake up in a hunger frenzy again and try to eat her.

Many hours have past as Tobca waited for Dyllis to wake up from her long slumber, her eyelids drew heavy as she struggle to stay awake. During her escape from those giant felines she had exhausted almost all of her mana.

she felt a sudden movement to her right as she was about to fall asleep, Tobca raised her hand to summon her sword as her tired body moved sluggishly. Clear white eyes that had small black veins at the edges of their eyes, Tobca thought about how they remind her of cracked white jade.

Beautiful in its own right as well as it was beautiful to look into the rest of the beings features seemed quite welled balance, flesh hanged loosely on the right side of the person face.

"Dyllis your awake" Tobca said in a heartbeat as her concern lessen a bit before she was tackled to the ground by the young female.
