Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Into the Goblin Den

Dyllis tugged at the blue girl cloak telling her to come with, she put down her embarrassment and followed the red-cloaked girl inside the dark cavern. Both girls didn't have a hard time seeing in the dark since one lives underwater which can get pretty dark down there.

The other is a natural nighttime predator, both girls carefully walked through the deep tunes listening to every scatter, stopping from time to time to listen for them. Their smell was all over the place so it confused Dyllis poor nose, watching every creepy-crawly move out of their way or dig themselves a new home. They kept on going down the steep path that was the dugout.

They could hear the goblins chatter a lot more now since they were entering closer to their den, these things don't like killing a potential breeder for their young so they will try their best not to kill them.

The fact that these things were quite stupid the girls had a bit of advantage over them, leaving both girls to feel confident. "I can flood the whole place and hope most of them drown" Tobca whisper, the cannibal agreed to the suggestion with a nod of her head.

a faint glow showed up on Tobca veins, it was a baby blue colour as water magic slowly form in her hand, the light blue veins looked like tattoos that were engraved on her very being.

A sound of water can be heard as it rapidly filled the area below, the goblins tried to run away others drowned and the ones that made their way towards the girl, Dyllis took a huge chunk of their flesh out from them using her claw-like hands.

sometimes she even thrust her hand through their chest and crush the heart of the goblin causing them to fall back into the water. After waiting for half an hour Tobca took all the water back causing her veins to glow once more as she absorbs the water into her being.

Jumping down into the wet cavern a few sploshes can be heard as she moved around making sure none of the nasty beings survived. She stabs her claw-like nails into every single globin corpse before cutting off its ears for evidence, after doing this for some time she counted 146 goblin ear pairs, a huge fat goblin at 4ft had foam at the mouth.

He looked like he was in the middle of fun time by how this human was position on him, feeling disgusted by the sight of her face scrunch up as she approaches the dreadful beast, pulling the dead human girl off.

Holding her hand like a hatchet about to slice down on the huge goblin, she swept it down on the neck but it wasn't enough power to cleanly take it off, hitting the bone she tried multiple times before a sickening crack could be heard and a loud thud as its ugly head rolled onto the floor.

Putting the head and ears into her clothing bag she started eating the goblins flesh and left there nothing left, she even ate the king goblin even though she had to close her nose the whole time while eating the gross creature.

A rang can be heard every time she finishes eating a goblin giving her 25 exp when she ate the king she had got 100 exp, burping she patted her belly feeling actually full first time in a while. Opening her stats she saw her current level as well as the prizes she gets every time she levelled up.

Happy that she went up four levels she frowned at the exp cost for each level up, this system is robbing me blindly she exclaimed in anger inside her head. The system voice rang in her head "If I get levelled up, your exp cost will reduce by 75%" it said robotically.

Snapping out of her thought about the 75% reduction on current exp consumption she thought about her rewards, she got.

Looking at all her rewards she was confused as hell 'shouldn't I be getting more she thought' questioning the system she was snapped out of her daze like state by Tobca she had a look of disgust on her face "I can't believe you actually ate those filthy creatures" she made gaging noises showing her clear distaste on what she just saw.

Pouting slightly Dyllis slowly got up from her crouched position and 'climb' her way out of the damp place that was littered with skeletons of humanoid figures at 3ft tall.

The water fae followed close behind the other they quickly rushed out of their having waste enough time in the nest. Dawn was breaking the horizon, a bright orange circle slowly showed itself, peaking behind a few trees.

Dyllis stood there in awe of the beautiful sunrise, curious about what made the cannibal so happy, she looked at the bright circle "Why are you imprest by this orange circle? never mind, you can't answer me" Tobca mumbled.

Hearing her murmuring she pulled her magical book and pen out of her inventory to write down what she thought and showed it to the water fae "It looks so beautiful" a voice readout on what she wrote.

Her eyes widen like saucers when she heard the voice, it was hers from the old world. The water fae looked at Dyllis in a rage "Why didn't you tell me you had a magical book before?" she sounded angry so the other quickly wrote.

"I just got this from the goblin king as loot" the book spoke again, calming down a bit the fae took deep breathes. "well since you can somewhat talk now, can you explain your plans to me?" she asked, Dyllis nodded as she continued writing in the book.

"We are going to hand in this goblin ears and this goblin head so we can spend a night at the guild" she explained calmly using the book. Tobca scrunches up her face in disgust hearing they were going back into the human town, Dyllis raises her eyebrow at her before writing in her book again "Put your hood back on and let us get going" the book spoke.

Putting it away back in her inventory she pulled her hood back over her head to cover her face, getting into a sprinting stance she 'gently' kicked off the ground causing dirt to go flying, trying to keep up with Dyllis she ran at full speed but soon enough she lost the cannibal.

Dyllis made time back to the town in three hours max, it was close to mid-morning as the sun has risen higher. The townfolks looked rather dirty but somewhat neat at the same time, some of them looked at her curiously having never seen the red hooded figure before around.

Taking her sweet time she walked to the guild to find a female attendant was keeping an eye over the guildhall, a few adventures were drinking ale or just straight up beer.

Walking towards the desk she pulled out her cloth bag, that had the king goblin head and the 146 goblin ears needed for them to know she had completed the quest, the lady counted the ears and exclaimed at the Goblin king head "Not offend we do get King goblins around here. Did you killed them all?" she asked Dyllis.

Dyllis took out her book and wrote "No I had some help from my party member she will get here in a few hours she is a bit slower then I am." the book spoke causing everyone in the room to be shocked some spit out their ale thinking they have drunk too much.

Snapping out of shock she asked for the quest paper and Dyllis gladly gave her it counting up the total she brought out a pitch of coins. Checking the bag she was given one silver coin and 46 copper coins, the rest of the money is for her party member to pick up is what she is assuming.

"Now that was just for the ears, the head however can be given to you for 40 copper coins," The lady said as she sealed the Goblin head with water magic to keep it from further exposure to the air. She put the 40 coins of copper into her little money bag.

writing in her book again it spoke up "How much does it cost to send the night here?" the lady smiled before replying "10 copper coins per night" Dyllis nodded thinking it was reasonable, giving 10 copper coins back she was then given a key.

"Go to that black door over there and the room with the tree ant engrave to it is your room" she explained, Dyllis said something before leaving cause the attendant to smile.

"I will tell your party member when she gets here," she said with a cheery smile plastered on her face. The wendigo headed upstairs and found the door and enter. Looking at the bed fugitive shown on her face, taking off her cloak and the uncomfortable armour. Basically leaving her in the suite she was born with, going under the quilts she went into a deep slumber without a care in the world.
