Chapter 2 - Wheel of Fortune!!

[A/N]: This chapter is in a rough draft state and will likely be edited once I start uploading for this story properly, so expect grammar and spelling mistakes. just putting this out there, for now, to see what people might like to see going forward.

"No no no, what do you mean reincarnate? Shouldn't I be going straight to hell?" 21 questions with obvious confusion lacing her words. She knew what reincarnation was obviously but she had no idea why someone like her would be given such a chance.

'Why would Lord Beerus have me reincarnated?' 21 was one of the smartest people in the universe thanks to the many cells gathered by her creator belonging to multiple people that could be labeled geniuses in their fields. She knew Lord Beerus would have something to do with this opportunity coinciding the obvious fear the man in front of her showed when she first arrived but she had no idea why someone as evil as her gained his favor.

She didn't even consider Goku would have any sway on a god's decision no matter how much he was favored by one. She also didn't consider the fact that Beerus thought very little of this gesture since to him the only effort on his part was opening his mouth.

As smart as 21 is she is still flawed in her thinking not to mention she is technically only 10 years old. She is basically a child in an adult's body and was forced to mature far faster than she should have. This means she still has a certain naivety about her that could only be fixed with real experience. Despite how smart she is, one could also say she's rather simple-minded as well. To her, even if she had a split personality born from her own efforts to spare the lives of others, she herself still feels responsible for her evil twin's actions, even though she isn't in the strictest sense.

"Hmm? A person with a soul as pure as yours doesn't belong in hell. Now your other half that arrived a little before you went straight to hell but that's beside the point." What 21 did not know is when she split herself in half she essentially created an entirely new being. That being alone was held completely responsible for all of the evils she had committed in life as all of them had been committed while she was in control of their shared body. Of course, this was King Yemma and Beerus's own decisions on the matter so even if it's just a technicality they have that authority.

"Well back on topic, you've been chosen to reincarnate with some extra benefits however it's not like you get to choose exactly what that is or where you'll go. It all works off luck and karma but I can sway the world a little depending on your preferences though. You've earned that much at least." He said as he motioned with his hand to one of the many horned people walking around the place.

A few moments later a couple of them brought out a blank lottery wheel of some kind and placed it to the side in front of her.

"We don't really get to use that thing anymore since most people don't accumulate enough positive karma to reincarnate in the first place and usually get sent to otherworld. Now, what kind of world do you want to go to? Try to keep it simple, will you? Nothing specific, just what you want to do in your next life." King Yemma asked while 21 was still in thought over her current situation.

She thought about it for a moment, and despite what the large man had said she wasn't so convinced she was as pure as he made her out to be. She at least wanted to make amends somehow for the things she had done. But even she had things she liked to do as well.

"If I could, I would like to go to a world where I could help people easier and also somewhere with interesting research material," She told him her selfish wish as she approached the wheel. She knew she didn't really have the right but she did genuinely love researching while she was alive. It was something she did with her son and it brought her fond memories of their time together.

"Hmm, I see. Well, go ahead and spin the wheel. What has a chance to show up is based entirely off your karma so don't worry about getting something you don't deserve." King Yemma tried to hurry her along as it wasn't like she was the only soul he had to see, though he tried to remain courteous thus far since it would be bad if Lord Beerus caught wind of him being rude to someone he supported, even if only half-heartedly. He could also recognize a pure soul when he saw one and didn't mind being a little kind to the girl before him.

21 grabbed the wheel and various lines of text started to appear but she wasted no time trying to read all of them knowing only one would matter, thus she spun the wheel with all the strength her soul form could muster.

The Wheel continued to go round and round for several moments before it finally slowed before eventually stopping on an interesting set of words.

"My Hero Academia? Another dimension? That shouldn't be possible...I think? Maybe that was why we stopped using this thing? Oh well." King Yemma was honestly confused why another dimension would show up and vaguely remembered the reason they stopped using the wheel is that it kept trying to send souls to different dimensions causing problems for a lot of other beings that handled the passing of souls. Well, one more soul wouldn't hurt, probably…

"Now, on to your next spin. This time it's for your bonus ability. You'll get to keep your memories intact in your next life so that's already covered. Unfortunately, some things don't work quite the same in other dimensions, like Ki, so you may not be able to use your old abilities in the same way over there. Chop chop." King Yemma hurried her along again, he could already see the line getting backed up again.

21 would have liked to get a bit of an explanation about the world she would be living in for the rest of her life, especially since he seemed surprised she could go there at all, but she didn't want to waste any more of his time since he was clearly put in a difficult position.

Taking a small breath she once again spun the wheel this time with a little less force since she didn't want it to take forever, something King Yemma noticed and took appreciation in.

After spinning for a few moments again this time the wheel stopped on something that almost made King Yemma choke on his coffee.

"Monster girl system?" 21 read off the words as King Yemma's palm met his face. He finally remembered why they really stopped using the wheel since it kept giving random souls overpowered systems that ended up making them nightmares for various people throughout the multiverse. Many of them had to be put down before they could rise to godhood while others had to be sealed away after they abused their power. An entire world got erased in one of the clashes the gods of that world had with one of those system hosts. He was extremely thankful that this particular system shouldn't cause too many problems in the long run, though he worried about the birth of new races in that world, it wasn't really his problem anymore. It was also extremely lucky this particular system has very good compatibility with Android 21 already seeing as she spent most of her life controlling her urges.

"Well, that's that. You'll be granted a system that should help you out quite a bit in that world. Any last requests before I send you on." Normally he would have just shoved her out but with the threat of Beerus hanging over his head and his own growing favor with the girl he didn't mind listening to any other request she might have had.

21 thought it over, she didn't quite understand a lot of what was going on but she could make quite a few inferences based on some knowledge she had stored in her head. If these systems are anything like some of the books she had read back on earth then she knew it would be a great help to her quest to save a few people. Though she couldn't quite imagine what the monster girl part alluded to, she only hoped she wouldn't be some eldritch abomination.

Thinking it over for a second thanks to her enhanced processing speed, she realized she only truly had one wish she never thought she would be able to properly experience. Now given the chance she wanted to take it, even though it might be a bit selfish.

"If it's not too much trouble, could you seal my memories in the system itself instead of reincarnating me with them? I...I always regretted not having a proper childhood. It would be nice if I could have a true adolescence before I get the system." 21 decided she had nothing to lose and asked her final wish. The man only raised an eyebrow before smiling slightly and nodding his head.

"So be it, I'll set it so your memories return once the system activates. Hmm, seeing as you're only 10 years old, I'll have them returned at that time on your birthday." King Yemma wrote a few things down and finally stamped a paper he had on his desk. While ushering one of his minio- *cough* helpers, to escort her to the area so she could be sent off to her new world.

"Thank you, Mr. also if you see Lord Beerus again, please thank him for me as well" She bowed before she left with the muscular horned man.

"What a sweet girl. Hope she has a good life this time, though I wish she wouldn't curse me with meeting a god of destruction again. NEXT!" King Yemma silently complained before moving on with his job. The line had gotten quite backed up so he'd have to work a bit over time it seems, but he didn't really mind this time around.
