"Keep calm and focus." Amay told herself as she looked up at Ida, who began to speak while moving her hands to her chest. Her hand tighten on the hilt of the blade. She stopped her other arm from bleeding as she needed every drop of blood she could. With a quick glance to Lucas, she nodded her head to him.
"Why would I fear a monster inferior to myself." The words left Ida's mouth as she launched her webbing at Amay.
With hesitating, Amay leaped back nearly crashing into a tree to dodge the webbing. As the webbing hit the ground, she took off towards Ida trying to dodge the webbing on the ground. She could feel goosebumps form on her arm as her watched her opponent send out her massive hands towards her. Tilting her arm and blade to the nearly facing her chest in an attempt to block the first massive hand. She was barely able to push the hand off as it pulled her back.
Her body jerked as the other hand hit her from the other side where her missing arm was. The force behind the blow was the equivalent of getting hit by a small speeding car. The blow forced her to crash into a near by tree. Her vision blurred as she tried to focus even with a ringing in her ear. The blade still stayed in her hand and worked to help her stay on her feet.
With her right eye closed as blood began to cover that side of her face, she still looked up at Ida who was just smirking. Using her peripheral vision, Amay's entire body dropped low as one of Ida's hand sliced clean through the tree where her head was. The blood sword in her hand shifted and mostly went back into her body, and left her with a dagger. Her eye dilated as she looked straight forward before stumbling into a sprint.
Although her speed had decreased and her moments felt a little sluggish, Amay pushed herself onward. She ducked under Ida's right hand, then stumbled to the right barely dodging her left hand. She felt a rush of air go past her as a part of her dress was pulled and torn as Ida shot a thing of webbing from her right normal hand.
"Aww. It looks like my aim is still bad," She mockingly said as she watched she short girl struggle. "That black bra does match her attire. Too bad your not gonna live-"
"Shut the fuck up!" Amay told her as she kept pushing forward. She was on her last nerve with her and was sick of her voice.
Ida smile grew further as she heard Amay tell her off. Her harms began to move again. She was impressed with how far she can move with all her visible injuries, but could tell she was slowing down. "That's right keep coming to me." She thought as she licked her lips.
As Ida's massive left fist slammed against the ground, Amay ducked and rolled forward. She came to a dead stop forward as Ida's right hand slashed nearly in front of her. She barely had time to dodge it, but was able to limit how badly her cuts were going to be by pushing one leg back.
Blood hit the ground as Amay went to one knee. A massive gash was bleeding out on her left leg. No matter how hard she tried to move it, pain shot throughout her body and her body acted like it wouldn't move. She was only a few feet from her, but she was a sitting duck now.
"Come on. Not now." Amay thought to herself as she tried to force herself up. Her hair went from bright red to reddish pink as she tried to heal her injury. Yet, she knew it wouldn't be done in time.
"Aww. Did you run out of steam?" Ida asked her with her smug smile. Her massive arms retracted back. She raised the both up and had her fingers spread open as if she was preparing her next attack. "Better hurry. I'm about to attack again."
"I said shut up!" Amay yelled at her as she dagger spun in her hand before she launched it at Ida's chest.
Ida watched as the blood dagger came at her and her eyes focused on it. "It's fast..." She remarked to herself, before stopping the blade dead in it's tracks with her index and middle finger. "But it's not fast enough." She finished before looking down at Amay unpleased with what she tried to do.
"Now." Amay thought to herself as pupil pulsated. The dagger in Ida fingers would burst into blood and cover her face and hand in it.
"You little bitch." Ida screamed as she used her normal hands to try and wipe some of the blood out of her eyes. She took a step back as she tried to reorient herself.
Amay struggle to get back to her feet as her gash continued to bleed. It soon stopped as the wound was left open, and she controlled her blood. She started as a little hobble before picking up more and more speed. She moved around and tried her best to dodge Ida's wildly swinging arms.
With a painful step off the ground, Amay launched herself off of the ground towards Ida. A sword began to form in Amay's only hand as she was ready to deliver a blow to end this final. However, she found herself stuck in the air. When she tried to move a finger she found herself not able to do anything, she was trapped in something.
"That was a low down and cheap trick you did," Ida told Amay. She could feel the girl struggle. "I guess we are even then." She continued as her right hand had barely visible webbing on them.
Amay's eyes darted back and forward as she could now she the webbing a lot better.
"Quite amazing isn't it? Before this form, I needed a decent amount to hold down strong prey. However, now I only need a few strings and look at you now." Ida explained as she got closer to Amay until they were nearly face to face. "And it's all thanks to you~" She song to Amay.
Amay began to panic as she need to move her body as soon as possible, but it was hard to do so. She then felt Ida's warm moist hands touching her face. Her eyes then connected with Ida's for brief moment.
"You made this all to easy. Thank you, Amay Yangu," Ida happily confessed to her. "I would have been happy with you dying out of Mt view, and then hunting down the boy. But this." She stopped looking at herself, then at Amay, and then at Lucas who hadn't moved from his spot as fear consumed his will to move or fight.
"You brought yourself back to me. Along with letting me get a sample of the boy. And he's so sweet. I bet you haven't even gotten that far with somethings so delicious around." She mocked Amay before she started to giggle a little. "Sorry about that. I'm just so happy that I get to finish you off and retake my prize. Granted I won't have much time, but I can work with this. But how do I want to do this?"
Amay listened to her words and felt chills go throughout her body. Her eyes then went to her sword. As the blood began to shift, there was a quick slicing sound as her hand began to fall off. She screamed in pain as she felt everything and watched as her now lost arm fell to the ground.
"I almost forgot about that." Ida said taping a finger against her head. "I know not to fall for the same trick twice. Now then." She said deciding what to do with them both.
Ida then snapped her fingers as she realized the perfect way. She then placed both of her hands on Amay's face forcing her to look up at her. She could feel Amay trying to bite her hands, but using her own strength she kept her face forward. Her smile widen as she watched her prey struggled. The slit on her mouth opened up to reveal her fangs and teeth. Her saliva began to drip down her teeth and a little over her fangs. She then slowly brought Amay face to her own feeling her breath in hers.
"Come on body move?" Lucas told himself as he watched in horror as Amay was risking her life for him again. "Damn it move" He yelled at himself as his body refused to get up.
The world around him began to shake and distort as his breathing became rapid while his body felt as heavy as a stone. He could feel his heart throbbing in his head at the same time his inner voice tried to plead with him to get up and save Amay, but his fear was keeping him in place.
All his tears dried up as he couldn't cry anymore, he just sat there lost and arguing with himself.
"I can't do it....I can't do it...I'm too scared...I'm too afraid....What if I die...What if she dies again...." These questions began to cloud Lucas mind.
The world around him turned back to the cave, and he saw blood on his hand with Amay dead looking at him. His mind shifted to the door where he watched it open and the the three attacks with twisted smiles on their faces. His vision then went further back to when he witnessed his friend being beaten up and he made eye contact with them. He saw them reaching out for him and mouthing for his help, but he just ran away.
"Coward! You're just a coward." The voices of each person began to tell him over and over as they surrounded him. "You always need someone to fight for you. And when they need you to do the same here you are on your knees giving up."
"I'm not...I just don't like to fight...." Lucas told them. He then heard Amay's scream rang through his head.
"Look what not fighting did." His inner voice told him. "You not fighting got her killed. Are you going to allow it to happen again?"
Lucas could feel his whole body began to tingle as he remembered his action with the crowbar, his fight with his mom, when Ida stabbed Amay those few moments of bravery, those moments. His eyes then focused back in to the current moment. He saw Ida bringing Amay's mouth to hers.
"Not again." Lucas told himself as he saw himself in Amay's place. He felt as if he was entrapped in stone. His body continued to vibrate as he felt the voice in the back of his head pushing him.
Lucas body began to move as he watched in disbelief. Everything seemed to grow silent and it felt as if time had slowed down for him. He watched in disbelief as he began to pick up speed and run towards Ida. He felt tears run down his eyes as he was still scared, but he didn't want to stop. Sparks began to dance off of him as he kept running and leaped high into the air.
Ida's mandibles began to touch Amay's face as she was so close to delivering a deadly kiss. The hair on the side of her face and Amay's began to stand as they both looked at each other in shock and disbelief. Ida could feel her jaw pop as her head was pushed so far to the left that she heard a few pops from it.
Amay could feel the slime from Ida's mouth and her own blood as she was cut by Ida's mandibles. She then felt a pair of arms wrap around her as they were pulled to the ground. She had to blink for a moment as she couldn't believe who saved her. Her eyes then looked into his eyes and she finally saw it again. The looked she's been waiting for. The true reason she stayed by his side for this long.
"Lucas." She said weakly. She saw that he was still scared, but he was determined to actually do something. Her eyes were in disbelief as she felt her body rest against the tree Ida chopped down. She tried to push herself up to still fight but he pushed her back down.
"You need to heal." Lucas told her looking at her missing hand and her other arm and the giant wound on her leg.
"No. You can't win. You need to run." Amay told him as she tried to get back up, but her body felt numb. Even her voice sound sluggish. "Damnit. My body." She thought to herself. She then watched as Lucas gave her a soft smile before standing back up fully.
"I'm down running." Lucas told her with his back towards her and watched as Ida got back up. His right leg was throbbing with pain as he didn't expect it to work. His show was nearly destroyed and he could see his now purple toes. Yet he stood tall as energy danced around him. "I'm not letting you get hurt again. No matter what." He said not fully sure what he could do but he was going to protect her with his life if need be.
