Chapter 29 - The Coincidence

Ruin avert her gaze to the man and looked at him with a furious gaze. Although their body is in a hologram, that gaze sent cold shudders to the man and his knees become somewhat weak, it was not because the man is weaker than Ruin, but her special passive ability is the most terrifying part.

Anyone who makes direct eye contact with her will felt a sharp pain on their head as if someone hitting it with a big hammer but most people here are pretty much immune to it, but still, it will inflict fear that is enough to make anyone's leg trembled.

He didn't expect it would still active even they both didn't make eye contact physically. If her ability could be used even past a screen, that would be terrifying!

He manages to get himself together to avoid his image being crumbled cause, after all, building up your image is full of sweat, and destroying it is simple as a flick of a finger.

The middle-aged man is a remarkable guild leader in everyone's eyes, he is wise, calm, quick-witted, and never afraid.

That was his image on everyone's mind, if his knees become weak to the point it can't handle his upper body and end up kneeled, that image will turn to pieces.

Ruin comes back to her seat and raise her legs on the table, the sparkling smile man look at the man and slightly nodded.

The old man who spoke earlier nodded satisfyingly as the ruckus didn't lead to a bigger problem.

"Regarding the cause of what we discussed, we found out it has something to do with the explosion on the second city and perhaps has a connection with Bioco." The old man snaps his finger and holographic pictures appeared on everyone's seat.

It was a mushroom cloud taken from a different angle and the destruction on Bioco.

A person wearing a bandana and golden necklace crossed his arms and leaned his back on the chair with a frown before finally asking what's on his mind, "Is there someone who involved?" he pointed his finger to the explosion in the second city.

People look at each other and then someone asked, "I agree, I felt like we have many plot holes here. My words will be blunt from here, may I continue?" He asked for approval towards the old man and the latter nodded with a calm smile, "you may."

The person nodded, "is there any evidence as to why the sudden power-up has something to do with the explosion? Why the explosion occurred in the first place in the second city?"

Indeed, there are so many plot holes here that makes it strange.

Ruin join in after she analyzed carefully the explosion in the second city and as the result, she can't help but ask. "Why someone would explode the city?"

Afterward, another person join in and said her opinion.

"Un, I have the same question too, why would a player explode a city filled with weak zombies with a nuclear missile instead of exploding it on the eight-city?"

The others nodded their heads in agreement. What she said is make sense, although nuclear weapons lose their effectiveness when facing high-level zombies, it will be more than enough to conquer one or two districts.

Just by conquering one district, players will gain a huge advantage! They could build a small camp to make it easy for players to join the fight and help conquer the city.

They could also unlock small features such as unlocking gun parts, gets more crafting recipes, and many more! All players in the game will get the feature.

But to make sure the game is fair play, only those who join the fight get a special privilege. For example, player A could buy an unlocked part of a gun for an 80% off discount due to him join the fight while Player B had to buy it at original price.

It seems unfair but thanks to them, many players will be able to get access to it, that alone will be enough for players.

The old man shook his head disappointedly.

"Unfortunately, it was not human." He snaps his finger once again, to which a photo profile of a player appeared on everyone's screen.

"His name is Tornado and he is there when it happened, I believe he knows very well as to what happened." He calmly said as he sips his tea.

Ruin hearing the name immediately remembered.

'Tornado? Is it possibly him?' Ruin wondered and opens her mouth to ask the question but interrupted by the same middle-aged man.

"Is it possible it was that rumored player 'God of Destruction'?" People who hear his words were baffled and look at him with a mocking smile.

God of Destruction? What an exaggerating title for a nameless nobody! The smiling man thought as he chuckled and the others are thought about the same thing.

It was normal for them as a guild leader who didn't know rumors and forgets about them, cause in the end, rumors are rumors.

Most guild leaders ignore it and finally forgotten about it, though, it was different with Ruin and the man. It was not because they believe in baseless rumors, they saw it themselves with their own eyes!

Once, they head to a small prosperous city in the second city to make business with them but due to some circumstances, they set on a mission to clear a hidden location on Seckond Dahara City and Tornado is joining the team.

It was four people team, Ruin, the middle-aged man, Uno, and Tornado.

Ruin has a bad impression towards the latter, let alone the middle-aged man, he often ignored him and act as if Tornado's presence isn't worth to mention.

In Ruin's eyes, Tornado is an annoying, carefree, slap face bas**rd, and to make it short, this guy is the worst. Just hearing the name makes her face turned furious, a person who sits in the opposite position from her aware of her face.

'What the heck did I do wrong?' cold sweat flowing down on the person's back.

Back to the story, when the four of them cleared the hidden location and get themselves a satisfying loot, they about to get out but then, Tornado move deeper into the hidden location.

The hidden location is actually an old and abandoned subway, he moves deeper into the dark tunnel.

All this time, as they fighting the undead, this guy only stands on the very back with a face of disgust. Annoyed, Ruin asked him what is the reason behind his expression, to which Tornado replied.

"Nothing, it just that your movements are shit and my shit somehow looks nice compare to it." Everyone who hears the words is shocked to the core! Especially, Uno, he felt stifled on his chest.

He knew very well the temperament of this woman who named, Ruin. Everyone's first impression when meeting her for the first time will compare her with a female barbaric warrior, cause she really is barbaric! No other words could explain it.

Her words are blunt, her nature is rough and she will kill anyone if someone talks about something she didn't like, and Tornado's last words are the perfect example!

'If you want to seek death, don't bring me with you, I'd rather die with a girl I like!' He thought to himself.

As expected, Ruin is snapped and the air between them changed drastically, Uno's heartbeat significantly increased, and it sends shivers on his spine. If he's in Tornado's position, he doubts his knees will stand, it will definitely turn soft into tofu.

The man noticed the danger, they are within the range of Ruin's attack, if they didn't take a step back, they will get hit by it, "stand back." To which Uno nodded affirmatively as he takes a step back.

Uno wanted to save Tornado who is like a brother to him, he knows him for five years but his level compare to Ruin is two-level away, which seems small but the difference in strength is like the heavens and earth! It was due to this game's unique leveling up system when a player reaches level 500.

At that number, everyone has to pass small stages like cultivation, it sounds crazy and strange but yeah, it was real. Everyone has to fill Ten Stars with exp points and after those stars are full, they could advance their level by one number.

Every time a star is filled completely, players sometimes get a point randomly, whether it was a skill point, status, or perks.

The most common ones for players are getting a status point, but for perks point, it was a fifty percent chance whereas the skill point is below twenty-five percent.

Not only that, most of Uno's skills are mainly focus on support instead of offense. Since he can't help him, at the very least he has to say something!

"Ruin! Calm down, I'm pretty sure Tornado didn't intend to say it!" He paused to which Ruin turned her head back, look at Uno in the eye.

Uno's whole body is stiffened for a sec before he looks away for a bit and said, "I'm pretty sure it was meant to me and him! Not yours!" He points his finger to the middle-aged man and then him.

His voice is loud and clear, the air surrounding them ease up a little, her expression also lighten even didn't much.

Heaved a sigh of relief, he opens his mouth but out of the blue, "what are you saying Uno? I said the truth!"

Uno really wants to puke a mouthful of blood after hearing Tornado's words.
