Kino doesn't know how her left hand slips from the Elder's scale, she was sure that her fingers are sticky like that of octopus' tentacles or similar to spiderman's hands. Hmm? How this was possible you ask? It is because she use her aura so that it could stick onto things.
What? You think a mere hug posture would be enough to make her stay in such a place? She is pretty much like a mountain climber without any equipment! If not for her aura that could be use for literally (almost) anything, she would fall!
Put aside that, as her body is falling, she hurriedly places her hands on the Elder's body.
As a result, her falling speed decreased rapidly and when she thought the falling problem was solved, something's coming from her right at high speed.
Kino wasn't sure what it was but when she turned her head to the right, she could see a black spear piercing through the air and coming at her. The spear itself is sharp and fierce, as if it could pierced the heavens.
Kino then focused her aura to form a barrier while the rest on her hands so that it could stick.
However, the unexpected happened, the spear is more powerful, Kino thought, thus, when it clashed, a loud echo reverberated to the air and caused sparks.
At first strike, it didn't do much since the barrier's toughness is similar to that of a diamond but on the second and third attack, cracks start appearing on the barrier. The spear stubbornly pierced the barrier and Kino was annoyed by this, although the barrier started showing cracks, it would take more than fifty hits or something to break it, what made Kino annoyed was that, everytime it hit, her body shook.
'Tch!' she clicked her tongue as she swung her right hand to the black spear and a half moon shape appeared and broke the spear into half. The half moon shape is her aura that was changed into a blade, but instead of relieving, she said, 'of course it wouldn't be that easy,' when seeing this sight.
As if the time was moved backward, the black spear fixed itself and continued its attack, this time, it was stronger, if earlier it needed fifty times, this time, it needed ten times to break the barrier.
Her aura energy is decreased by three percent, here she thought that she could fight the spear by only decreasing a percent but it seems she underestimated this black spear.
Clang clang clang.
Each hit makes the spear faster and stronger, she couldn't use her half moon blade anymore, the spear dodged it before it even hit it.
Seemingly no other way to make this spear ignored her, she looked around and at the same time wondering how to get out of this situation. Then, she looked down.
The thick dust gradually disappeared as if some kind of party were over and through the gap, Kino could see the ground. She then said.
"It's a gamble."
The spear moved forward and Kino let go of her hands. As if there's consciousness, the spear slowed down slightly as if confused but it didn't pay no heed, its speed went back to normal. When it says normal, it means the spear is traveling four hundred km/hours.
With that in mind, as the barrier clashed with the tip of the spear, a loud clang echoed and as if a mirror breaks into hundreds of little fragments. The barrier disappeared to the thin air.
Kino's body flew away for a few meters as a result.
With that, her falling is continued and the spear? It flew back to the ball thing. Seeing the sight, Kino thought to herself, it's strong enough to be able to form a weapon? I underestimate that thing.
She then equips herself with grappling hooks but then, she remembers its durability isn't that many left, thus, she thinks of another way. If she equips it, it would be a waste.
The grappling hook can be used for five times and since there are two, its total would be ten.
She would really need it if the Elder went berserk and tried to kill her or maybe she was going to go up against the flying weapons from that ball, which is unknown how many times she would use it, so better be prepared than sorry.
She can also turn her aura into something long to that of a rope, though, it only lasts a short amount of time, what's more, it will not be that strong if compare it with the wire rope that was used by the grappling hook.
She could enhance the rope so that it was similar to it but do you think it would not require her focus?
Either if she fights the Elder or with the black ball's weapons where her life is at stake and does multi tasks in her brain, like shooting, maneuvering, timing, precision, strength, prediction, etc and at the same time, focusing her aura to form a wire rope.
She could die despite her brain being very different than any normal person, just think about it, she thinks about six different things in her mind simultaneously within a short amount of time.
If she diverted that focus of thinking to something for a rope and made a single mistake, no doubt she would die.
But, that's the situation when fighting but right now, she is falling, two different situations. Thus, she decided to form a rope with her aura but then, she remembered something.
Remember that little pink snake? Turns out, that little snake is still there inside the Elder's body and its connection with her is still on, the connection looks like an invisible thread, connecting to her index finger.
The thread getting longer as she fell, still, she quickly acted. She thus transformed the almost invisible thread to a rope that was very similar to Dyneema rope in terms of strength, also, the transition from a thread to a rope is rather cool.
The transition starts from the bottom of the rope, which is on Kino's index finger, all the way up to where the little snake is, where it's slowly drifting, following the bloodstream but when it sense that its master use the connection between them as a tool to climb up, if it could feel emotion, it would cry.
The little snake quickly wiggle its body and face against the current of the bloodstream to where the wound is with great difficulty and stayed there, also, the thread is connected on its butt, thus, facing its butt towards the wound, it stayed.
The little snake of course didn't have consciousness, Kino shared her consciousness through the thread and controlled it.
After that, her consciousness exited from the little snake's body.
Afterwards, she opened her eyes and saw that the thread is now a rope, a rope made out of aura.
Her body stopped from falling and as the result, she swayed slightly to right and left. Sighing a sigh of relief, she observed her surroundings.
She was up above the ground, about thirty meters away. If she falls, she would survive thanks to her high level but it would take more time to climb up! What's more, the black ball is about a hundred feets away from her.
If she wasted her time just to climb up, the ball would grow large enough to defeat the Elder, heck, it even managed to form a weapon! Thus, to prevent that possibility, she chose this.
'Now, how am I going to go up?' She wondered as her body moved slightly here and there because of the slight breeze of the chilly wind.
'One way I guess.' She added as she figured out the answer already, it only took her a few winks!
It is rather weird if a person asks a question and answers it too, but, most people do this all the time. Well, inside their mind that is.
Next, her body went up and in the process, the rope's length got shorter. It was devoured by her index finger, wait, that seems so wrong but that's what happening, as her body went up, the rope got into her index finger.
It only took her a few seconds to get up and in the process, nothing attacked her.
'Strange,' she pinched her chin with her left hand and an idea slipped through her mind, therefore, she tried a little experiment. Yes, a little experiment.
