As we stepped off the elevator, I could see the women looking up from behind their cubicles at my husband. I could see the look and hunger in their eyes when he walked by.
But I proudly held my head up and smiled as I said.
"Good afternoon, ladies."
Mu Kai looked over at me and smiled.
When we reached his office, Zhu and another gentleman were already sitting down and waiting. And Wen Rang came in behind us.
"Zhu, thanks for coming here," Mu Kai said as he shook his hand.
"Before that, I want to introduce you, Hans. He just joined the firm."
As Mu Kai shook Hans hand, Zhu leaned over and kissed me on the cheek.
"It's good to see you, Mrs Mu." He smiled.
I took a seat in between them as Mu Kai walked around and sat behind his desk. Zhu folded his hands.
