Chapter 35 - Spotlight#41:Everywhere and Nowhere(MMM#2)

Have you ever wanted to travel back in time? Well, I used to until I realized I was black, but maybe you'll want to after hearing about Merryweather's other masterpiece: Everywhere and Nowhere!

Artist

I can't find much on the artist himself, unfortunately. All I could get was his username: PeaCh. All I do know, however, is that he is my second favorite artist of Merryweather.

Summary

During the mid 15th century, Dane royalty William Rosencrantz and Anne Guildenstern were two intellectual companions who unfortunately met an early grave. Yet, for some unknown reason, the two soon woke up to realize that time and death has lost its effect on them. With the burden of immortality and the entirety of space and time their canvas, the 2 traveled for countless years. But with seemingly infinite fatal paths awaiting them, William and Anne will have to put their lines on their line to make sure their present situation is dealt with once and for all.

Characters

William: Out of the 2, William is usually the most pragmatic, grounded, and wary. William is a man who loves to travel and learn more about history, making him willing to learn from many other sources. Despite his usual careful nature, he is willing to do almost anything for Anne.

Anne: While she seems like a ditzy, happy go lucky and cute girl, this is a front to distract Anne's enemies. Because under that persona lies the heart of a true queen who is more than willing to use her power and intelligence to her advantage.

Overview

As someone who has read this before becoming featured, I will say that this is honestly a joy to reread and a much better improvement. This series experiments with the time travel concept, almost to a blatant fault while also keeping the rules consistent. The art is also just a major plus for me since PeaCh knows how to make a unique anime style that is both sharp and bold. The colors are just so unique and interesting as it gives everything a real "pop" that makes it stand out. I was also surprised by how accurate they portrayed a lot of the historical figures in the story. They are pretty dead on and do provide for some interesting history lessons. With all that and the short chapters and Everywhere and Nowhere is a cinch to read.

Epilogue

Overall E and N is a very fun webtoon that truly has fun with its concept in every way, shape, and form. It's heartwarming, and fun nature makes you feel for the characters, and I think it will be one of the unique webtoons I've read in a while. It's definitely a story that makes you think about how to spend your own time. And with this story over and done, the question does remain; where will the spotlight take us next?
