Rex connects his earpiece to his phone then wears only one piece while he hangs the other piece behind his ears. Sylvia later takes the unused piece and puts it in her ear and in no time she begins moving her body and singing along with the music.
REX: (Smirks) You have a cool voice!
SYLVIA: Naah! It's probably because you're wearing an earpiece, you're definitely mistaking me with the singer.
REX: Then I'll just take of the earpiece and probably listen clearly?
SYLVIA: K!
Rex wears Sylvia the second piece and watched her as she begins to sing. He couldn't help but smiled.
SYLVIA: So how was it?
REX: Still the same!
SYLVIA: (Flushes appeared on her face) I actually was part of the school's music group, Kim was there also before she left for the dance club while I later quited.
REX: For what else?
SYLVIA: (Crosses her legs as she sits) Nothing!
REX: Why?
SYLVIA: Chris made me do it! Y'no, before you came he got into a fight with his classmate who was trying to make moves on me since we were both in the same club so he had to stop me from attending club meetings. I felt really bad but I had to reason with him till I lost interest.
REX: Hm. If only he knows the gravity of pains he caused.
SYLVIA: I kinda reasoned with him since he was really scared of loosing me. His parents separated as a result of infidelity, that is why he didn't take it lightly with you when he found out about us. Though I don't regret it, I just feel bad I caused him unnecessary pain.
REX: You never gave me direct replies, you should've just told me to stop bothering you.
SYLVIA: That's because... That's because I didn't want to loose you too 'cause, I... I already fell in love with you!
REX: (Shocked with mouth agape)...
SYLVIA: Yes! I know it's crazy, I just felt I should tell you, it's not like it's gonna change anything since you're now dating Olivia. (Her eyes glistens) You both had sex today right?
REX: No why?
SYLVIA: Nothing! Sorry I asked, I mean it's non of my business tho.
REX: Hm. You should save your tears, I don't want Kim to kill me if she discovers I let you cry.
SYLVIA: (Smiles sadly) Do you mind if I lean on you?
REX: Yeah, sure.
Sylvia snuggles closer to him as she readjusts to a sidesaddle sitting position making her more comfortable.
REX: Are you comfortable this way or you prefer lying?
SYLVIA: I'm good!
Rex wrapped his arms around her as he places his head on her hair. He Sniffs her scent and immediately his countenance changed. She was wearing the same kind of scent as Olivia, his whole body system began reacting to the scent. He began vibrating slightly as he tries to suppress the urge building up inside him. Sylvia notices the vibration as his hands were wrapped around her.
SYLVIA: (Sits up) Are you okay?
REX: I don't think so! I'll be fine I promise.
SYLVIA: Are you sure 'cause you don't look so good?
REX: (His eyes begins to turn dim gold) P-please can you distant yourself from me for now?
SYLVIA: What are you talking about?
REX: I have a cr-crazzzzzzy allergy! I don't wan...tt to h-h-h...
Sylvia is confused as she stands up.
REX: Go backward a little...
SYLVIA: (Confused as she begins to panic) Are you okay? Should I call for help?
REX: (Blurts out) No! I'll... Be fine!
The vibration begins to reduce till he is calm. Rex looks at Sylvia who just stared at him...
REX: I'm sorry! I'm allergic to your perfume!
SYLVIA: (Throws her handkerchief to him) Here! You can use it to cover your nose good I forgot to apply it on the handkerchief.
REX: Thanks!
SYLVIA: It's nothing, that's what f...(Stops)
REX: What?
SYLVIA: I didn't mean what I was just about to say!
REX: That's what friends are for?
SYLVIA: Yeah... (Nods)
REX: Why?
SYLVIA: Nevermind, just cover your nose.
Rex ties his nose with the handkerchief as Sylvia draws near.
SYLVIA: You mind telling me about your allergies?
REX: Not now, you might get scared of me.
SYLVIA: (Places her soft palms on his cheek) I kinda love scary things.
REX: I'm sorry... I can't, it's confidential and I don't know how you might take it.
SYLVIA: Alright then, what you're trying to say is I'm not yet worthy to be trusted by you.
REX: (mute)
SYLVIA: I get! It's okay.
REX: (Raises his brows and curves his lips) Hm.
SYLVIA: We should go back to our dormitory.
REX: Mind staying a little afterall it's exams and curfew starts by 12 Am.
SYLVIA: Well then can I lean on you?
REX: Yeah, I'm protected now.
Sylvia re-snuggles herself again closer to him as she rests her head on his chest; she connects the earpiece back to her ears.
Minutes later she slept off on his chest. Rex cradles her as he can't help but stair at the beautiful sleeping creature on him; he cuts the hairband holding her hair together letting the hair flow freely, she looked even more beautiful while she slept. He kept admiring her he didn't realize he when his fingers were on her lips.

It was almost 11:30 pm, Rex rubbed her gently making her wake up.
REX: We should get you to your dorm.
SYLVIA: (Stretches herself and yawns) Definitely! How long did I sleep?
REX: Like an hour.
SYLVIA: (Checks her watch) I see.

AT THE GIRLS DORMITORY GATE
SYLVIA: Thank you, I enjoyed your company.
REX: I'm happy you're happy!
SYLVIA: The strawberry candy! Thanks for that too.

SYLVIA: (She turns to leave but stops and faces Rex again) I know it might sound a bit cheesy but... Can I kiss you?
REX: (Unties the handkerchief)
Sylvia uses a hand to block his nose as she leans forward and kisses him. It lasted for half a minute before she breaks...
SYLVIA: (Provocative smile) I look forward to our next hang out.
REX: (Smirks) Goodnight.
SYLVIA: Goodnight.
He stands watching her go into the dormitory till she's out of sight.

A week passed, the terminal exams just came to an end and everyone were already in holiday spirit and the snow has yet started. Rex and Sylvia never had a chance to hangout after that night.
Olivia is seen with Rex in their enpty class. Rex is seated on chair while Olivia sofly massaged his shoulders, he doesn't seem to be much interested in what she did to him.
OLIVIA: You're starving me!
REX: Hm.
OLIVIA: We've dated for almost a month and...
REX: We've not had sex?
OLIVIA: Yes!
REX: It's not really necessary Olivia!
OLIVIA: That's what you think? I mean who would have such a hot boyfriend and wouldn't loss count of how many times they screwed?

REX: Hm. Alright! We'll do it on the night of the Mr and Miss Saltsman ceremony, satisfied now?

She leaves the room happily but doesn't forget to cover his faces with several kisses.

KIM EVA: Jesus Christ Rex! (Looks up at the ceiling) Lord I recommend senses for this dumb soul he really needs it. I never knew you were both super smart and extraordinarily dumb! Tell her you can't have sex with her no matter what afterall you're doing it for her own good.
REX: (Ruffles his hair slightly) I'm confused!
KIM EVA: I would advise you to make up an expensive excuse.
REX: Like what?
KIM EVA: You can tell her you have sexual malfunctions?
REX: Expensive indeed, I'm not going for that option what other one?
KIM EVA: Or you tell her you cheated on her, that'll break her heart she'll loss appetite for sex at that moment.

REX: (Snorts) Nice joke!
JAX: I'm serious bruh.
JAMES: (Checks his watch) The ceremony is about to kick-off.
JAX: It's time to steal the spotlight of the ceremony. (Looks at the mirror) They should Prepare to see Mister Saltsman 2022 approach in his elegance. (Frowns a little) I wish I had a girlfriend.

The hall was much warmer and glamorously decorated, the seats began to get filled as time went. The Master of the Ceremony soon took the microphone...
MC: You're all welcome to the 17th edition of the Mister and Miss Saltsman ceremony 2023, we're just about to kick-off the event. Join me as I make welcome Doctor Sullivan Saltsman the founder of Saltsman Highschool to officially open the ceremony.
(Cheers and applauses filled the air as the proprietor approached the podium)
DOCTOR SULLIVAN: I welcome you all distinguished ladies and gentlemen, including teachers and students, staffs and non-staffs and the Board of directors overseeing the affairs of this great institution, to her 7th edition of the Mr and Miss Saltsman ceremony. I officially declare this meeting open.
Another round of applause and shout fills the air as he descends the podium. Soon the DJ of the show begins to display what he's good at as soft music filled the place.
OUTSIDE THE EVENT'S BUILDING
Rex sees Olivia in a long red sheath gown to blend with the red three pieces suit Rex wore, she looked absolutely stunning as the gown carefully accentuated her curves. A crown was on her head and an inscription she wore which said Miss Saltsman 2022/2023
JAMES: I'm leaving you here, go on with your girl.
She walks towards Rex like a bride on an aisle...
OLIVIA: Hi.
REX: You look absolutely stunning!
OLIVIA: Thanks, you too. I bet you're gonna make other girls stare in utter awe.
REX: I know. (Arcs his elbow) Ready?
OLIVIA: (Grinning as she tucks her arm into his arched elbow) Yes!
The hall was already busy as everyone were either dancing, drinking or chatting. As soon as Rex and Olivia entered the hall Chants and shouts echoed everywhere soon the spotlight was focused on them. They walked down the aisle as Olivia waved with smiles all over her face while Rex just smiled as he doesn't bother waving.
MC: I present to you Olivia Matthews the two times back to back Miss Saltsman Highschool of the last two years' edition.
The clap grew louder as a standing ovation followed.
MC: And looks like she got herself another good looking boyfriend by her this year again.
OLIVIA: Oh yeah!
