Silence...
All I could hear was my heart beating...
It's a cold night, but we both managed to find a way to warm our bodies. My wounds from yesterday dried faster than expected, but I didn't want to continue our date.
Raine was very exhausted, solely for that reason; I haven't been able to ask what she was doing in the cemetery. That's a flaw on my part because I should have asked her before.
"I'll be your blanket and you'll be my pillow..."
Whispering her those words, made her every hair stand up. I felt it under my skin followed by her angelic giggle. Her hair was covering up her scrumptious neck so, I pushed her hair out of the spot.
"Raine... Did that fucking bird just give you a hickey?" I growled.
I was about to kiss her neck so, I could mark territory, but I saw a hickey freshly attached on one spot nearing her nape area.
Before I could even interrogate her even further, she turned around and kissed me on the lips, therefore calming me down.
Damn this girl... she knows how to make me shut the hell up.
She turned around without saying anything to me then finally closed her eyes. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I closed my eyes for a bit and sighed.
But then I remembered something I need to take care of...
"Raine..." I called.
Using my arms for support, I heaved myself up to take a peek at her. Her sleeping face looks so peaceful that I can't help but to blush at the sight of such a beauty.
"Raine..." I called again, but this time, she opened her eyes and smiled.
The girl was completely oblivious that I was staring at her. What a pretentious little girl...
After seconds of staring at her, she finally closed her eyes. I stared at her for one more minute to make sure she's not only pretending to be asleep.
"Ugh shit!" I cursed when the familiar pain strikes my entire body again. Slowly, I got from the bed trying my best not to make the bed creak.
I reached my hands to the nightstand beside the bed and stood up before going outside of my balcony. The wind kissed my skin and made its way to pass my clothes to hug me with coldness.
Opening my phone, I pressed Blood Shed's number. My phone starts ringing for about half a minute before the son of a bitch answered.
The background music was ear-piercing, my eardrums exploded that it made me distance my phone from my hearing. I waited for a few seconds before I brought the device near my right ear.
"Hello," I started.
"Who's this?" I heard a female voice on the other side.
"Can I talk to Blo-" I paused and thought of Blood Shed's real name before proceeding.
"- Dione Hayden"
It was just the background music for a second, but Blood Shed's voice was soon heard from the sea of bombastic music.
"Hi! What's up, Massacre?"
As expected it's the same cheerful high pitch voice of Blood Shed that welcomed me. I walked slowly to the hand metal railings of my balcony to rest my arms on it.
"I said you can call me by my real name. I'm not part of the group anymore," I said seriously and rested my chin in one hand.
"Yeah, you are not part of the group anymore." Blood Shed said sarcastically.
With him being my spy to keep an eye on Nightmare and Phoenix, I'm certain that he's been notified that I'm a member of the gang once again after being initiated again.
"Shit!" I exclaimed. "Fine, but please listen to me..."
He gasped as if I said something peculiar. I raised one eyebrow and waited for him to speak again.
"Did I hear the word 'please'?" he asked.
My eyes rolled, but I replied nonetheless, "Yes, so what?"
"Nothing. I know you're a man of surprise words, but you're never the man of magic words," he chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah. Now listen..." I muttered.
I shook my head and finally straighten my posture. Having enough of his child ticks, I cleared my throat and revealed the reason why I wanted to converse with him.
"Tell me where is the exact location you found Raine in the cemetery." with a slightly low voice, I requested.
There was a long pause, only the sound of the environment he was in was heard on my phone. I stared at my phone and was about to call his name again, but he replied the moment I opened my mouth to speak.
"Alrighty then," he spoke but with a more serious delivery. "I won't ask 'why' because that's cliché so, I'm just going to send you the coordinates."
"Excellent." I smiled, put my phone down, and focused my thumb above the glowing end call.
"But there's something wrong," I heard Blood Shed said.
Rolling my eyes again before putting the device near my ear again, I asked, "What?"
"You didn't say the magic word~" he chirped in.
Magic word?
Oh...
"Your parents didn't love you enough." Immediately, I told him before I heard him laugh maniacally.
"The other magic word, silly!"
Yeah, I know it's the word 'please' he wanted me to say. The boy is already taking advantage of my soft side which is the downside of this therapy makes me desire the former respect.
"What said once is said once," I firmly said.
One more reply and I'll lose my temper...
"You said, 'once and said' twice," Blood Shed replied.
"Son of a bitch!-"
Uncontrollably, I screamed at him on the phone before bringing my phone high up in the air to smash it again into a dismantled machine but then-
"Calm down..."
A voice...
I turned around and expected Raine to be standing there with an appalled expression on her face, but I saw no one. My eyes only witnessed the glass reflecting my exact image and the lights of the city.
Turning my attention back to my phone, I sighed and brought it up to my right ear before combing my hair backward with the help of the wind rustling through the strands.
"Ey Saccharide..." Blood Shed talked again. "How did you know that my mother's a bitch?"
"Please-" I whispered but firm enough for him to comprehend.
"See it's that easy to please me." he giggled and laughed at his own pun, "Got it?"
As I listened to his laugh, I looked up to the skies and sighed before lowering my head to look at the people passing by. Paris is so beautiful at night especially with the tower as its centerpiece.
I smiled softly and frowned when my hearing senses focused on Blood Shed's laughter again.
"Are you done?" I asked.
"Nearly..." Blood Shed snickered before booming a couple more laughter on the speaker.
"Alright, I'm done." he stopped.
"Asshole..." I said one last time before putting the device down, hanging on my hand.
My phone beeped. I opened it again and smirked when I saw the coordinates sent by Blood Shed. My fingers moved skillfully to add the coordinates to my GPS.
'You're too perfect to be real, Raine. I want to know your secrets too... I'm sorry' I closed my eyes as I closed my device.
I walked slowly back to the entrance, preventing the inevitable pain from my wounds.
Sliding the door to open it carefully, I looked at Raine who's in her original position. Hastily, I lie down with her on the bed, my eyes staring at the flawless ceiling.
'I'll visit the cemetery in the morning.' I said to myself before closing my eyes.
