Karin focused once more on Kayle, now that she could saw the world in a different way she could feel Kayle had a very deep calm chakra, if she gave it a color it would be blue like the ocean. looking at him helps her relax and feel safe.
Karin sat down next to him and enjoyed the breakfast, it was her first time trying the pancakes and she found them delicious, she was also happily surprised about the peanut butter as it was the first time she heard of time.
Karin and Kayle introduced themselves to each other, Kayle explained how he was from the roaming squad
Kayle: "I don't think your teammates will come back... what will you do from now on ?"
Karin looked down thinking for a second as sadness invaded her, thinking about the future gave her a reality check, and she knew that she sadly wasn't able to control her future, she lacked both power and back up to do what she wanted.
Karin: "I-I don't know... it will depend on what the village hidden in the grass decide..."
Kayle: "I'm not asking about the village...I want to know what you really want"
Karin stayed silent for a few minutes then grabbed Kayle's shirt while looking in his eyes.
Karin: "I would want to be away from that village.. they treated my mom badly and exhausted her till her death... they are also doing the same for me... I-I know we don't know each other much... but you made my heart feel warm for the first time in such a long time... no never mind me... I'm just talking no sense..."
.Kayle grabbed Karin's hand reassuring her.
Kayle: "Don't worry... As long as you trust me then I will easily help you out... I'm confident in my abilities"
Karin didn't doubt the blond-haired boy's words, hearing him tears started running down her cheeks, she finally found someone she could rely on, after being alone for so long she finally had hope.
After breakfast, Karin and Kayle started walking toward team 7, Kayle knew that Orochimaru had not yet attacked them as a clone was always watching over them and he wasn't even sure if he would even attack them on this timeline as several things were changed since Kayle's coming to this world.
On their way, Kayle started thinking about the best way to help Karin, the first most obvious solution was to send her in the pocket dimension and fake her death, it was very easy to execute but it could complicate things later, she would have a hard time explaining in the future where she disappeared during the chunin exam.
The second option was to tell the third Hokage that she was an Uzumaki and ask for his protection, Kayle knew that this could be one of the easiest ways to protect her but it could also lead to Konoha wanting to control her and raising unnecessary suspicions about why he was close to her and wanted to protect her, he wasn't even sure that Konoha would risk a conflict with another village only for one genin.
Kayle: "Well I do have an idea... but you will have to trust me... And we will have to separate for a little while"
Hearing that there was hope Karin's eyes lit up, she looked at Kayle with admiration, she didn't doubt him at all but was amazed how a boy her age could do so much more than her.
Karin: "I trust you... I can feel when people are lying to me... and I know you are telling the truth, I-I will do my best to follow your instructions!"
Kayle patted her head as he said.
Kayle: "Don't worry you don't have much to do..."
