All the genins were confused at first, but after listening to Anko's explanation they quickly understood the situation and followed her instructions. Anko led all the genins that succeeded in their first exam through Konoha till they reached the Forest of Death.
Once there, she finally explained how the second exam would proceed which tensed all the teams as they knew that at the very least, half of them would be disqualified by the end of the second challenge.
Kayle stayed close to his two other teammates till they got their scroll, once it was done, he explained to them that he would be separated from them and that they could only rely on themself for this exam, Kayle knew that Kabuto should be more than qualified to handle this task.
Kabuto was surprised but also a little relieved, he was confident that he could easily finish this task even if he was alone, and getting separated from Kayle would let him use all his abilities without any risk of raising unnecessary suspicion. The only thing that bothered him was not knowing why Kayle wanted to act separately from them during this second exam, but as he remembered what happened the last time he tried to get information from Kayle, his curiosity quickly faded.
Kabuto: "Okay, that's fine! but I will keep the scroll on me, your objective will be to get to the tower before the three days, as long as you can do that then you should succeed this exam as I will handle the rest"
Kayle: "Thanks, buddy! I own you one, I'll be sure to be there on time"
After that, Kayle waited till it was his team's turn to entered the forest of Death, he followed them for the first half-hour, making sure they don't get ambushed at the start and only separated from them when they found a safe hiding spot.
Kayle had two objectives to achieve during this exam, the first one was to meet Orochimaru, and the second was to find a specific genin that was also participating in this exam.
He had been thinking about it for a while and he saw Karin during the last exam so he knew she was participating in this one too as in the original story. Kayle was very interested in Karin, if trained correctly this last one could be a very helpful teammate, in addition to that Kayle remembered what the old fisherman had said to him.
Kayle had reflected on it a lot, he knew that had to bring an Uzumaki with him but currently, Naruto was not an option, as a Jinchuriki it would attract too much attention if he went missing for a few days and Kayle didn't want to cause any commotion.
On the other hand, Karin had very little background, she also was very pitiful as she had been used by her village for her healing capabilities. Kayle didn't want this innocent girl to continue suffering and he was sure that she would be more than willing to follow him and escape from the village that killed her mother.
From then on, Maru and Kayle started tracking the rest of the participants, using clones made it very easy as in only two hours, Kayle had managed to find all the people he was looking for.
Kayle: "to which one should we go first ?"
