Chapter 45 - Konoha's demon

Miyake Kyo POV:

After listening to the advice of Sugai-senpai, I jumped following closely the genin from Konoha, I know that Sugai is quite pitiful and get really angry whenever he feels his authority being defied, and the bandits attacking is the perfect opportunity to get back at that genin for not wanting to submit under him.

As I touch the water I make sure to use my chakra to stabilize myself and start running behind the Kayle, but as I start to follow him I see him getting farther and farther from.

Miyake Kyo: 'What's happening? why is he so fast?'

After only a few seconds he completely disappeared inside the mist surrounding us, I try to speed up slightly more to catch up to him but to no avail.

As I for closer and closer to the enemies boats I started smelling the metallic smell of blood, look like Kayle already started fighting, there shouldn't be too much danger or he wouldn't be this reckless, I start to get a little closer but then I hear a huge explosion I see peoples are sent flying as they drop into the sea, most of them are still conscious, I see them grab their injured friends and start swimming toward the nearest floating woodenplank.

Miyake Kyo: 'Wow was it Kayle who caused this much damage? doesn't this ship look familiar? it's the same as the one who fought with us on our way here, they should have at least one bandit with the strength of a chunin... I better be careful as it may be him who used this Jutsu, I wonder if kayle is fine'

After several minutes deliberating about if I should get closer or back off, I finally decided to go have a look as there wasn't any more noise coming from the boat, I escalate it as silently as I can and saw over the deck, I could see several peoples unconscious... there were even a few dead bodies.. I saw a head detached from the body stuck between a boat wooden fence.

After looking more closely I noticed Kayle standing with three bodies lying at his feet while smiling at me.

Kayle: "Oh look like you were late, Sorry I forgot to leave some for you"

I smiled awkwardly, made sure there was really no danger before jumping on the deck.

Miyake Kyo: "Haha no worries I don't mind you doing all the work, good..."

I froze one of the dead men at his feet was the exact same chunin who attacked us a few days ago... I pointed toward the corps with my finger...

Miyake Kyo: "D-Did...did y-you kill him"

Kayle smiled brightly at me as he said

Kayle: "haha... no this one was the cat, but everyone else was definitely me, these two were not weaker than the one you are pointing"

I saw kayle's cat next to him licking his fur not caring about anything in the surrounding, I wonder if he is a trained animal, there is a few clans that specials in that but from memory, I only recall a dog training clan in Konoha... wait, why I'm even taking this seriously how could a cat kill a chunin? haha my ass, it was the cat? I'm not stupid... I will definitely need to report this to Sugai-senpai.

Miyake Kyo: "But we fought with that guy he had the strength of a chunin, we couldn't stop him when he retreated... are you sure you are only a genin?"

kayle: "Yes I'm only a genin !"

Maru: "..."

Miyake Kyo: "well look like you finished this job let's go back to the boat"

I smiled awkwardly as I started running away as fast I could... this guy is a monster... no he is a demon, I don't want to stay with him alone.

3rd POV:

After going back Miyake Kyo reported everything to Sugai Yuu, it took quite a while to convince him of what kayle had done as it was unbelievable, and Sugai even had to investigate for twenty minutes before concluding that Miyake said the truth, he even interrogated a few of the bandits that survived to make sure to know what happened on that fight.

The two ninjas from Kiri started being more cautious of Kayle, at first they didn't even care about him as they consider him as a regular genin, but now that they knew he could kill thee chunin, even if he took them by surprise he would at the very least have a level of peak-chunin.

The merchant's ships started their voyage once more as navigating slowly in the sea while leaving behind the traumatized bandits.
