"You can sit in the living room. I'll make us some tea," I said, entering the kitchen.
"I think it's best we all be in the same space at all times," Lloyd said, following right behind Caitlyn.
I rinsed out the kettle and filled it up with fresh water. Caitlyn took out the cookies my mother baked last night and set them on a tray.
"Could we order for some food, later on, my treat? I haven't eaten much all day," Lloyd said, munching on an oatmeal and raisin cookie. "These are amazing!"
"Sure, we can decide as we have some tea," I said, eyeing Caitlyn who had grown a bit too quiet.
"You okay?" I whispered to her.
"Yeah, I'll be fine."
"I'll get those," Lloyd said, taking the teacups and kettle from my hand.
They followed me into the living room. I placed the assorted tea bags on the table and set a cup for Lloyd and Caitlyn.
