I could feel the butterflies in my tummy swarm like crazy. I parked my car in front of Dave's house and turned off the ignition. Ivy opened the door and hopped off, waiting for me.

'Can we meet at the 24/hr bubble tea shop around 10 pm?'

I had about an hour and a half to be at Dave's party. I was not planning on staying longer than forty minutes. Depending on how he took our breakup, I was ready to leave the moment I said we were through.
'Sure, see you then.'
I sent the message, closed the car doors, and walked with Ivy up the steps to the house.
"Dave lives here?" I asked, staring at the modern glass house before me. "It's incredible."
"His parents are filthy rich, so yeah," Ivy said a bit bitterly.
"I know you did not want to come here today, so thank you for joining me," I said. "I am more comfortable with you beside me."
