Lira's POV
Its been one week ever since ive been working here at Luke's...I have to admit, I always went back to my apartment tired...I was glad that i didn't owe this months rent because of my bestfriend Mark...i swear he's an angel...
I was currently finishing off my shift when my I recieved a call from Sara...I smiled at the screen and slid the button to answer...
"Hey aunty, I'm sorry I didn't call you in the past few days because I was tired and worked out..."
"Its ok honey..don't worry about me...when are you visiting, I miss you so much and I need to tell you something important which can't be said over the phone.."
"I was planning on comming tomorrow since it'll be Saturday and I'll stay until sunday..I know its not that much but I have to fill in for Mason next monday, his mom is sick so he can't come to the diner.."
"That will be great sweetheart...I'll be waiting for your arrival, be sure to call me once you've landed here so I can fetch you from the airport.."
"Ok Sara...I'll call you in an hour when my shift ends..."
We said our goodbyes and she hung up the call...I checked on the time and saw it was almost 4pm...my shift ended in the next 30 minutes...
After my shift, I went back to my apartment...This was my usual routine, wake up, go to work, and come back to my apartment....I didn't go out because I didn't have a friend here and I kind of liked my apartment....I always came back too tired and usually I would watch West World before I cooked dinner and went to bed....
I decided to hed to bed earlier that day because I would be heading back to New York the next morning to visit Sara..I was so excited and I missed her so much...
I hoped I didn't run into my mother or her husband...I didn't want to see their faces because I would lose my control...
PRESENT DAY
I woke up at 6am the next morning, my flight was in two hours so I didnt waste anytime...I quickly took a shower and decided to shave my pubic hairs since they were starting to show...
After my shower, I got dressed in pale blue ribbed jeans, a black hoodie and black vans...I pulled my brown lock into a messy bun and i grabbed my black duffle bag which was packed with clothes for only two days...
I grabbed my phone from the charger and locked my apartment...I hailed for a cab and once it stopped, I got inside and informed the driver about my destination...I made it to the airport with 15 minutes to spare...
Once I paid the driver for my cab, I went inside the airport and borded my flight....After 5 hours of jetlag the plane finally landed in New York...After bording out the plane, I quickly called my aunt informing her that I was waiting for her in the airport....Within 30 minutes she texted me...
Sara:I'm waiting out side ❣💕
Me: ok💗
After replying to her text, I went out the airport...I saw her familiar blue Mercedes parked outside...once she saw me coming she hot out the car and ran towards me...I squealed in excitement and we hugged like teenage bestfriends....
We exchaged greetings and got into her car where we drove off to her house... Once we entered Sara's neighborhood, all the memories flashed back...Memories when me and Sara used to ride around the streets with ou bicycles, playing around the park and hanging around the oce cream truck...I smiled recalling all those precious moments...This is why i missed this place...
We finally reached her house and it was just as I remembered it...Her pink painted house with a small garden always brought me comfort.He backyard led to the thick woods and something seemed to draw me to them and I didn'tunderstand why....I considered this house my home even though my actual house where my mother lived was a few blocks away...I cringed at that thought..
"Welcome back home honey...lets get inside, its a bit cold don't you think"...i smiled and nodded...
We entered the house, the bright living room with a brown couch that settled around it screamed for me, i was tired and I made my way towards the couch...I slumped down, closed my eyes and took in the familiar scent of home...I smiled.. How I missed this place. Just a shame that I'll only be here for 2 days....I was consumed by my thoughts when I heard Sara's voice..
"I'm glad you're relaxing there honey, I'll make dinner for us...I'm so happy you're here even if its just for a day or two..."...I could tell she was sad by the sound of her voice...I stood up and made my way to the small kichen where she was...
"I know its for a short time but I promise next time I'll stay longer...How about we make dinner together..?" She smilled and I was glad to actually change her mood...She nodded and gave me instructions to chop vegetables as she was making my favorite beef stew with rice...
I felt my phone vibrate, indicating it had run out of battery...I told Sara and went upstairs where my room was..
I opened the door and saw that it was kept neatly as always...The room had peach walls, the queen bed was covered in yellow covers....I made my way towards the night stand and took out my charger from my dugfle bag and plugged in my phone....After I was satisfied, I decided to close the curtains from my window....I made my way towards the window and saw a shadow passing through the dark woods...It wasn't night time but the woods were so thick that it seemed like it was at night....I didn't pay attention to the shadow, I thought it was something my mind made up....after all, i might be that tired to even see shadows...
I quickly closed the curtains and went out my room... I was climbing down the stairs when I heard her sickening voice...It always made my skin crawl
..What was she doing her....I began to feel my blood boil...
I was going to lose it today or so help me...
