And ladies and gentlemen we're back to where my story started....I was currently running away from the beast that I just saw killing my parents...Not that I'm sad or anything...they got what they deserved...I smiled, forgetting about the thing I'm actually running away from...
After hearing it's blood curling howl, I knew it was chasing me because of the thunderous stomps I felt vibrating from the ground...Was I scared?...No...I was terrified...I wanted nothing more than for the ground to swallow me but that didn't happen...I ran through the deep dark forest and just as I was running, I slipped on a muddy slope and fell on the ground...I rolled on the the muddy ground and slamed my head on a rock...I felt my head buzzing and my vision became blurry....I felt the beast behind me and I slowly turned my head to face it when something unbelievable happened....The giant wolf transformed into a man...a very naked man....I was feeling dissy...I must be hallucinating...I couldn't find a better explanation for what I just witnessed.
The man with blonde hair made his way towards me...I began to panic...I shuffled away from him and groaned from the throbbing pain from my head...
"Hey..hey..hey...I'm not going to hurt you...calm down there princess..." He spoke...I whimpered and I knew I was slowing losing consciousness...I was about to say something when everything turned black...I fell on the ground and heard the shuffling of feet...
I felt strong hands wrapping around my waist and under my knees...I felt myself being lifted off the ground...I couldn't comprehend what happened next but the last words I heard were reassuring and soft..
"Rest princess, Ive got you.."

I was currently in my office reading a few pack files....I decided to stay for a few weeks to take care of the pack... Mike joined me a few days ago...
I slowly flipped through the files and paused when Jacob, my brother mind-linked me...
"I rescued a human girl who was about to be killed by two other humans...she's unconscious now that's why I'm taking her to the pack doctor..."...I groaned at his words...I had no problem with him helping vulnerable humans, but bringing them into my pack...now that was something I couldn't allow...I quickly mind-linked Mike and told him to meet me in the pack hospital...
Jacob crossed the line today...He knew I didn't want any humans in my territory but he went against my orders....I growled at that thought and quickly made my way towards the pack hospital....I felt my wolf growl and start to run around my head...I didn't know what was going on but suddenly Titus was on edge...
I met Mike outside the hospital...We made our was inside when I smelled her delicious scent..The vanilla mixed with citrus scent...I knew it was her...my human....I growled in anger....What the fuck is she doing here...How did she even get into my territory, how did she ev...
Then it all began to make sense...She was the human Jacob rescued...I felt my heart throb at the thought that I wasn't there to save her...I felt my anger rise at the thought of my mate being hurt and I let out an animalistic growl...Mike suddenly became alert..
"Dude what's wrong...are you oka..."
I didn't let him finish his sentence because I bolted down the hall and followed her scent which led me to a room which I assumed she was brought to...Kicking the door, I made my inside when I saw the most heart shuttering scene..
She was laid in a white bed, a couple of IV's sticked into her arms...Her skin was so pale and her clothes were covered in dirt and..blood...I felt the colour leave my face as I slowly made my way towards her...Her beautiful face was covered in bruises to the point that she was almost unrecognizable...I couldn't stop the howl of pain that came from my mouth...I felt Titus whimper from the state of our mate...Yes I know I just called her ours...I was blaming myself for being an ass to her when I could've claimed her and marked her mine....
I gently grabbed her hand and kissed it...I felt her pain through our bond...I wanted nothing more but to replace her pain with happiness...I was slowly regretting what I did to her these past few months....She seemed so fragile and broken at the same time...She wasn't the feisty kitten I knew....I felt a hot tear steam down my face and I decided to give her a chance...give us a chance....I wanted to protect her from the evil of this world..
"I'm sorry kitten...Forgive me my human...I never wanted to hurt you, I thought I was making the best decision for both of us and my people but actually got you hurt...I wasn't there to protect you and I promise that will never happen again...You are mine and I'll never let anyone hurt you again...that i promise..."
I gently kissed her forehead and Mike came rushing in with Jacob...
"Killian whats wrong...are you..."..He cut himself off when he was Lira's state..
"That's her isn't it...What happened to her.."...I didn't answer because Jacob answered..
"She was in danger...I saw her trying to fight off two humans, a man and woman...she was in pain by the looks of it, and once she came rushing outside her backyard, she fell on the ground and I heard her cry...I wasn't going to let them hurt her even more so I shifted into my wolf and killed them both...After killing the other two humans, I noticed her running into the forest...I decided to follow her because I knew she needed medical attention....I found her minutes later on the ground covered in dirt...I assumed she slipped and thats when she whimpered and clutched her heard...She then fell unconscious...I brought her here because she wouldn't have made it to the nearest human hospital.."...I felt my wolf growl after hearing what they did to our mate...
"Thank you brother....If you weren't there she could've..."...I didn't want to finish that thought...I felt Mike moving towards the bed and I let out and animalistic growl rip into the silent room..
"Whoa, relax buddy I'm not going to hurt her...I only wan.."I cut him off by growling and shielding my mate away from them..
"MINE"
Jacob's eyes widened seeing as he didn't know...I see this idiot decided to keep his mouth shut this time...
"Okay...okay...me and Jacob will leave you with your mate...I'll be outside if you need me.."...They both bowed in respect and left the room...I carefully snuggled my head into her neck and breathed her scent to calm myself down...After calming down, I sat next to her, I watched her chest as it rose and fell..
I'm never letting anyone hurt you again my kitten and I'll make sure of that....
