Chapter 9 - Troublesome Matter (II)

"Wait, Ryobe-kun!"

Dammit. I really hope that she will not call my name.

"Yes?"

Akagawa-san walked toward me and lowered her head to me before saying.

"Thank you for saving us. We owe our life to you. Thank you."

"No problem. I'm happy to help. If there nothing else?"

I slowly walk away from her. However, before I could even take a single step, Akagawa-san stopped me.

"Wait a minute, Ryobe-kun!"

"Yes?"

"Emmm… Could you follow us for a little bit?"

"Why? Don't want to offend you guys, but I don't think my presence is needed."

"Ah! It is about the mana core."

"Mana core?"

"Yes! We, the Akagawa family, want to buy the mana core from the Youkai you just killed. You take the mana core from the corpse of the Youkai, right? I don't see the Core anywhere, so I thought you already took it."

Mana Core? Inventory.

[Medium Grade Mana Core]

[Mana Core is the life source of a living monster like Youkai, Demon, Vampire, etc. This core can be used as the material for creating magic weapons or magic armor. This core also can be used as a fuel for an alchemist fire when an alchemist wants to create a pill or potion.]

So this mana core can be used to create a piece of equipment for me to wear, but right now, I don't know how to use this, and the system did not give me any hint whatsoever.

So I guess I could sell it to her.

"Sure"

After hearing my answer, Akagawa-san's face brightened up, and smile at me. I follow her to the nearby parking lot, where she takes out some sort of card from the bag she took from the expensive-looking car. There is also a piece of paper beside the card.

"Ryobe-kun, This is Akagawa business card. You can go to my family home when you have the time to sell the Mana Core. My family home address is on the card. It is a little bit far away from here. However, you can go to my place, and the address is on the paper I give to you. You can also go to our family shop around the town. The address already inside the card. You only need to push a little bit of your mana into the card."

I nod at her explanation. I thought that they would take me to their base and if that was the case, I was already prepared to run away from them as fast as I could.

"I will come to your place to deliver the Mana Core."

"Really? Thank you!"

"No problem."

After saying goodbye, I walk away from them and go back to my home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yuna-sama. Why did you give him the Akagawa business card? You could just give him the money from your personal bank account to buy the Mana Core."
"I want to make a good relationship with him. At least make a good first impression. Do you see his face when I say he should go with us?"
"... Anger and I can see his eyes searching for a way to escape us."
"That's right. When I see his expression, I know that he will run away from us when we take him to our base. He must be thinking that we will do something to him inside our base. When I see his face, I decide to choose this method instead. Not only does it give a better first impression, but I also have valid topics to talk to him about when we meet in school."
"I see."
"Yes"
After answering one of my subordinate questions, I walk toward the alley where the Youkai is defeated. I look at my subordinate and say,
"I want this place sealed off. One of you go and call my father and report what we are going through in this alley. We need to harvest the thread around here and give half of it to Ryobe-kun as he is the one that kills Youkai and not us. Lastly, I want you guys to extract your memory and store it inside the memory talisman."
"Yes, Yuna-sama!"
I look at my subordinate, collecting all the Jurogumo thread around the alley. This thread can be used as a material to create light armor. However, removing the Jurogumo thread from a solid surface can take a while as it needs concentration, so the thread did not get damaged and magic control to seal all the magic inside the thread.
The last one is something that an Onmyouji must have when he/she is harvesting Youkai material. When the said material loses all the mana inside, it becomes an ordinary material and not a magical one. When this happens, the price for this material will drop by a massive amount.
This thread can be sold for at least twenty thousand per hundred grams. Also, did I tell you that this thread is heavier than any other thread? A magical material will always be heavier than a mundane material as they are filled with mana.
By the amount of thread in this alley, I can predict that we can harvest around a hundred kilograms of thread. If this thread gets sold in the auction, it will give the seller at least two billion yen.
The Akagawa family is rich, but that amount of money is still considered huge.
Also, don't forget prestige to whoever the one that was getting this material. As they only have two options to get this type of material. Either they sneak to the lair of Jurogumo and steal their thread or kill the Jurogumo and harvest the thread.
Stealing the thread from the Jurogumo nest is riskier as this thread can trap the harvester and alert the Jurogumo. So usually, people come to the auction bringing the Jurogumo thread because they are the ones that killed the Jurogumo.
When the people that claim to be the one that killed the Jurogumo, their prestige will be raised by a large amount, making them a bit more famous in the supernatural world or as we call it the moonlit world.
"Yuna-sama"
I snap from my thoughts when one of my subordinates comes to me.
"Yes?"
"I just got a confirmation from Hiroyasu-sama that the reinforcement is coming. However, he also ordered us to stay in here and don't go anywhere before he comes."
"Wait, my father is the one that is leading the reinforcement?"
"Yes…"
"Ha….."
Father… Why are you so overprotective? I'm not a little girl anymore, you know?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I look at my status window while lying on the bed. After rescuing Akagawa Yuna and her minion, I immediately walk to my house.

~Name: Homura Ryobe~

~Job: None~

~Level: 1 (3742/10000)~

~HP: 185/185(+5 from Equipment)~

~MP: 470/570~

~STR: 14~

~VIT: 18~

~INT: 57~

~LCK: 10~

~TP: 3.320~

I got 120 TP from that kill. It looks like the rule of ten TP per-level is still happening even when I'm on the outside of the Instant Dungeon. The same also applied to my XP growth. A level twelfth monster only gives me twelve XP—what a shame.

If they at least give me a hundred or so XP, then I will dedicate myself to hunting the monster that runs around the world as a side job from hunting a monster in the Instant Dungeon.

Anyway… It's time to Ga-Ga-Ga-Ga-Gacha!

I open up the Gacha shop and see the option to spin some gacha.

*Spin* *Spin* *Spin*

[DING]

I look at the notification hoping that I get a skill once again.

[Congratulation you got Drawing (Passive)(Max)]

Huh? Drawing? I know that I want a skill, but I never say that I want a drawing skill. I need some skill to help me fight…

"ARGHHHH"

I don't know what is happening, but suddenly my head is filled with so much knowledge that I feel my head is going to burst. I hurt! I hurt! Oi! Why the Gamer mind did not work! ARGHHHH.

"Huff… Huff…"

I don't know how long the pain will last, maybe five minutes? Ten minutes? I don't know but what I know is that this is the first time the knowledge that comes from the system gives me pain. The last skill I got only gave me a little bit of headache and not caused me any pain, unlike this one.

However, after sorting all the memory inside my brain, I can see why this skill is so painful. This skill gives me all the knowledge about drawing. When I mean all, I really mean ALL of the drawing knowledge.

From an ancient drawing to a modern drawing, I can do it all. Hell, I am even able to do animation drawing.

I can make my own anime if I want to. However, I still need a voice actor, though, before I can make an anime.

Anway…

"Let's test this skill."

~Five Hour Later~

And… I made Jojo manga. Damn it, brain!

In these five hours, I somehow drew Jojo part one, Phantom Blood manga. When my brain cannot come out with something original, my hand decides to draw on its own, and suddenly I get myself a five-chapter of Phantom Blood in my hand.

While the story is still the same, the drawing style is more of a modern manga style. The same drawing style Araki uses when he draws part six of Jojo.

The reason why I draw this is that there is no Jojo manga in this world. Which is something I cannot believe is happening. It is my duty as a cultured man to introduce this piece of art to these uncultured people.

"However, how?"

That's right. I don't know-how. I don't have a connection to any well-known publisher, and I don't want to waste my precious hunting time to become a full-time mangaka.

Well, I will think about it later.
