The brave was dragged inside the darkness where he wouldn't able to return. The expression on his face indeed stiffened. For the first, he had shown his embarrassing scared cat look. The wimpy friend fell on the ground crying and mumbling in shock.
"No...No...It can't be....this...isn't supposed to happen...Why...Why..." His mumbling voiced echoed throughout the forest. After a few minutes, a loud painful voice of his friend came out from the darkness he was dragged. The beautiful forest that looked marvelous in the day now appeared as a curse in the night. He got up quickly and started running in the direction of his home. He wasn't running at a full speed, probably because of the shock he was having. His expressionless, blank expression made his heart like the dried leaves. His mind couldn't process what was happening around him. He was constantly thinking, "Did he die? No, he couldn't be killed so easily after all he was the bravest one among us. This... is.. certainly wrong. I'm having an illusion. This....is..all an illusion created by the forest." He didn't stop running. He kept doing that despite knowing that it wouldn't be any effect if he's dealing with something he doesn't have any clue about.
What could it be? is it the so-called forest monster? The one everyone was feared of. The shining eyes of the monster weren't seen by anyone. No one knows about its existence but they believed it because of anxiety. The distraction it brings is enormous. No one could predict it. The fearful friend kept running without looking back. Branches of trees and dried leaves danced as he passed them. They weren't kind enough to lead him the way out. To his misfortune, he was stuck in his own world. Those trees he once thought to be familiar now felt a total stranger. His legs couldn't keep up with him. They were tangling with one another. Who knows if he fell down right here, what would happen to him. Well, the next step he took determined that possibility. He fell down on his knees, cutting the skin on the floor. His face was already filled with fear and it became terrifying. He was shaking unusually. Realizing the fact that there's no way to run, his eyes were enclosed with tears. Even though he knew that he couldn't run away from the monster chasing after him, he continued to crawl forward.
People don't want to give up on their life so easily. After all, it's the most precious thing to one.
For the first time, he looked back at the darkness and saw a dark aura approaching him.
"W-Who are you?!" His voice had a worriedness to it. Of course, there wasn't any answer. His courage went in vain as he felt a strange force dragging him by his leg and wanted to take him to the darkness. His sobbing voice echoed throughout the forest. All thought it wasn't for long, the villagers certainly have heard it. But they didn't dare to come and save the friend. They just want to have their own life. The darkness finally devoured him.
