"Yo! Wake up, look at the sun! it's upright over our heads."
"The heck! Go somewhere else and shout like a mad dog not near my ears." Loki was pissed as he couldn't define what was going on near him. He had been sleeping from night to noon. Without bothering to take breakfast, he put himself in deep sleep. Because of his weak injured body that happens. His current state is well in shape. He could now fully move his body. However, he's still vulnerable. In his condition, he could hardly do a fight. Loki finally woke up unable to tolerate the nagging of Sakura. Giving up on his sleep, he became a terrifying beast. His expression was the proof of it. Sakura on the other hand was looking at her daily chaos. She neither looked at Loki nor notice his utterly irritating behavior.
"Have you gone out of your mind, girl? The weak one here is me. I'm in terrible condition and I need more sleep than no one. Why the heck do you want me making me so pissed?" Sakura just let him say. For a while Loki kept blabbing until he felt even more pissed and got up, wanting to go out of the cottage.
As he was about to leave, Sakura stopped him.
"The monster hunted yesterday night."
"Huh?"
"Apparently, The villagers are so afraid of them that he didn't go out late at night. However, Yesterday two young men went out to the forest alone."
"Didn't they stop them?" Loki was confused as usual.
"No, They heard the voice but didn't bother to save them. Because of..."
"They fear that so-called forest monsters so much that they didn't even try to look for them?"
"I mean they found their dress and stuff this morning."
"This is crazy! How much they fear it?" Loki was engraved with rage as he couldn't believe it. "A hundred men can't win against a monster or whatever?"
Sakura said with downcasted glazes "Maybe they could if it's a human or so."
"Don't twist it! We don't even know if it's a wild animal or any spiritual being."
"That's a point...." With an instant, Sakura beamed with a grin.
"What the--"
"Today is the day!"
"For what?"
"The monster to take it's a meal."
"You sure know about it a lot."
"Yeah, because I also wanna see if it's real or not. From my birth, I have known about that mysterious creature that no one has seen in their entire lives. It gave me great interest to know about it."
"Okay, okay! I got it." Loki was a bit off with this unusual Sakura. He had not seen this side of her yet.
"So, when are we going?"
"Tonight!"
"We need some weapon at first. You got some?"
"Yeah, I got a huge amount of them from the corpses I collected." Sakura hurriedly brought out a box of weapons from the corner. It was hidden pretty in a good way so that common eyes couldn't find it. Only the ones who knew about it could find it just by looking. Loki was a bit shocked seeing all those weapons. There were spares, swords, and much more tools that were needed from the battlefield. You could even see blood sticking to them. They were neat but some of them weren't, perhaps Sakura wasn't able to clean them in the meantime. Loki slowly went near them. After glazing at them, trying to find a suitable one for himself, he lowered his body. From all of the weapons, the one that took his interest was a crossbow. It was made out of wood but there was the presence of metal and steel.
"So, you wanna take that one? I don't know if it really works, I just put them in there despite using them. So, I don't know if any of them even works or not."
"No, need to worry, I would make it works."
"For the arrows, you could take some from the other box, it a right next to it." As Sakura mentioned there was a box but it rather small compared to the one. It only contains arrows. As usual, they were some used and some not actually used.
"Okay give me an hour. It's still noon so we're gonna leave for the forest in the evening." saying that Loki took out a bunch of arrows and also a dagger. Sakura nodded in agreement. Loki went out with his newly equipped weapons to test them.
