The sun was shining to its fullest. Everything seems okay but something did seem wrong in Loki's eyes.
"Why..? Why?..."
"Sorry to say but there was a blast out here. The seventeen-floor building collapsed into dust. All happened due to a supernatural phenomenon. We saw those two engaging in some sort of fight. They were encountering the beast-looking thing. Mysterious particles flew out of them. The air in the area became so heavy that we could hardly breathe." The fire service officer said to Loki while uncovering the dead bodies.
"How?... How did it end up like this?" Tears began to form near Loki's sights.
After a while of the engaging fight, A massive explosion occurred here, covering the people around here."
"How, How this happened to you guys?" Loki kneed down on the dusty ground and cried out loud, "Max!! Jack!! Don't leave me in this world alone. Please, I wouldn't torment you, Jack! Just don't leave me." He growled out.
"Max, Why you? This isn't fair. Didn't you say you were my friend? Then why? Why?....
Why both of you....left...me. Why! Don't Leave me! Don't leave me!"
"Hey, wake up!"
An unknown voice approached Loki that made him jumped out of his deep sleep.
"Huh? Why am I here?"
"You might be having a nightmare, kid. This my home, don't forget that. Okay?"
Loki nodded and made a face that shows, "Tell me about the current state."
"The bear ran away. When I came down with my shotgun, I saw you holding the kitchen knife and was laying on the floor. Perhaps, You passed out due to stress. In your sleep, you were mumbling about something although it wasn't clear." The old took the knife away.
As Loki sat up, he saw the half-assed door. It was so broken out that even the slightest hit can be made it fall apart.
He stood up smoothly. But for some reason, his legs were trembling awfully. To hide his embarrassment, he quickly sat on the couch near.
"So, wanna fall in sleep again?" The old man asked in mockery.
"Probably not. It's that I...feel weak.."
"I see, then you should rest. The encounter with the bear must have shaken you."
Loki didn't feel like answering. His silence made the answer the old man wanted to hear.
"You contacted your friends, right?"
"I tried but the call didn't seem to reach them."
"That might be true, this area is not in range of cell phone signals. Don't worry, I would take you to a nearby gas station in the evening, Just be patient." saying that the old man ended the conversation.
Loki pulled up his legs on the couch and stretched it in a slothful manner.
He started recalling the dream he had a few minutes ago. The dream where his best friends died for some skeptical reason.
Although it was just a dream, Loki couldn't get that out of his head. He was just confused.
He closed his eyes and grumbled in quiet,
"Wherever you guys are please be safe. I don't want to lose any of you..."
