Chapter 3 - Chapter Three

I chuckled myself awake. Whenever I remember that nurse I always start cracking up. Something about her face and how she walked in made it look as though it came from a funny video.

But as soon as I awoke, I stopped myself. And let myself indulge in a different memory.

"Young Yagi, do me a favor." All Might told me one stormy night at the hospital. There was lightning outside which frightened me, and since Fatgum couldn't come to my room yet, All Might was called upon.

"Sure, Mr. Might. ...What is it?" I asked curiously.

His eyes looked as though they were far off, almost in dreamland. Right before he turned his head to me, he replied, "Please don't tell anyone about my injury or my state to anyone."

I don't know how, but for some reason, I knew that it was a very important secret that I had to keep. But at the time, I never realized how important it was until two years later.

I looked him in the eye and nodded. "I promise that your secret is safe." And the memories of my past with All For One came flooding in. Lightning flashed the room and a loud thunderclap echoed, making me flinch. I remember getting on my knees and hugging All Might's arm.

He pulled his arm away and wrapped me in a tight hug, careful not to squish my body. "It's okay young one, it's just the mighty heroes of the past proclaiming their power."

I clenched onto his hospital shirt. Trembling and afraid of looking out the window.

After calming down a few moments later, I unburied my face from his chest and looked up at the mighty hero who was steaming, turning into his skeletal form. His eyes were closed as if he was enjoying the moment with me in his arms.

"Mr. Might?..."

All Might hummed.

"Can you promise me a few things?"

He raised an eyebrow and opened one eye to look at me. A small smile appeared on his face. "A few things?"

I nodded. He took a deep breath before opening both of his eyes. He loosened his grip on me as I pulled away.

"Whatever you know about me... From my past with  ...him. May you please keep it a secret."

I paused for a moment not able to look at him in the eyes. I looked down at my bandaged hands. "I'm scared that everyone is mad at me for what I've done. I'm scared that everyone will see me as a monster once they find out how scary my quirk is... And I don't want people to be scared of me." My eyes started tearing up. "I want people to see me as their knight in shining armor, not some villain that wants to kill them." In the last part, I hiccupped and started crying.

All Might pulled me back into a hug. "Yagi, no one will ever think of you like that. Besides, I don't plan on telling anyone. Your secret is safe."

I felt a large hand hold my head as I wept, "Thanks."

I sighed. "Let's hope that secret doesn't pass on to anyone in high school." I then looked down at my palms. "Or let it slip up." I worriedly said as I climbed out of bed and put my middle school uniform on.

I just ran a brush through my long black hair and called it quits. Why would I want to get all fancy for school if it's the last day? Then I remembered the announcement made at our school last week.

"A representative from UA High is going to visit us on the last day of school." The lady said through the intercom for us fourth-year students. Since most of the kids my age applied for UA, the school thought it would be a good idea to have a guest speaker.

I imitated her, "It wIll bE tHe pErFeCt tImE to sHoW oFf yOuR qUiRks." I rolled my eyes. "F*cking bit-"

"Language," a western accent said from the doorway.

I turned around and smiled. "Sorry Gummy."

"I normally won't mind but someone is here to see you," Fatgum said.

I raised an eyebrow wondering who the hell would want to talk to me at an hour like this.

I turned back to the mirror, "Oh really? Who?"

Fatgum smiled and walked off, ignoring my question. I glared at him when he wasn't looking.

Placing my brush back down on my dresser, I grabbed my back-pack and made my way down the hall.

Since the house was only a one-story home, I able to make it to the living room in just a few seconds.

I looked up from the floor and my eyes immediately landed on the guest.

"Mr. Might?!" I asked shocked. I dropped my bag and ran towards him. He was wearing a black and white tuxedo and was in his Hero form.

I leaped towards him, and he caught me in midair, hugging me right before swinging me around. We both laughed as put me back on the floor.

"How is my dear Yagi doing?" All Might asked in his booming voice with a goofy smile.

I chuckled, "pretty good. And what about you Number One? I haven't seen you in a long time."

He laughed, "To be honest, these past three years haven't been easy. But I'm holding up like you would expect the biggest hero too." His smile faded as he started coughing.

I gave him a worried look, knowing full well that wasn't true. "All Might, you're safe here. Don't waste your energy in that form."

He nodded and steam came off of him as he transformed to his true form, coughing a little more as it cleared. I noticed his hand had blood on it.

"I'll be right back," Fatgum said as he went to the kitchen in search of a napkin for All Might.

I helped him on to the tan velvet couch as Fatgum came back with paper towels and a warm washcloth.

Within the hour, the three of us had a cup of tea, and Fatgum and I had our breakfast. The freshly made pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, and banana's nicely decorated, and the whipped cream on top of the stack of four,  was enough to fill me up to the point I wanted to barf at the mere mention of lunch. But overall it was fantastic.

I laid back on the couch patting my tummy with my eyes closed. "Those were some good flapjacks," I said as I felt myself drifting back to sleep.

I heard Fatgum chuckle and All Might take another sip of his tea.

"Akio, there are going to be some changes in the plans that we had this morning," I heard Fatgum say, a little depressed.

I opened my eyes to look at him. "I got called in this morning to do some hero work at eight. So All Might here is going to take you to school. I don't know when I'll be back, so I'm going to have you stay over at Greenway's house," Fatgum sounded a little disappointed about him working. I guess he had plans with me after school too.

"Okay," I said lightening up at the fact I was going to stay with my best friend.

Tosha Greenway was a transfer student from America. Her parents decided that they liked it here in Japan and wanted to stay. And now she only has less than a year for her to become a Japanese citizen.

Her quirk is called Magma. She can create magma out of the liquids in her body, including sweat. Her hair is also made up of magma as well. It normally stays the same length, but it grows when she becomes angry. Her hair looks as though it's constantly flowing. Almost like a wallpaper that keeps moving in place. It's super hot to the touch, but for some reason, I can handle it.

She knows most of my secrets, just not me getting kidnapped... and my wrongs.

My alarm to my phone went off, indicating that it was time for me to go to school. I got up and hugged Fatgum, wishing him luck with his mission. After that, All Might and I headed out and I was dropped off.
