Chapter 22 - Give a damn

"Minister Pouyeh you dared to accuse me so to clean my name up I wouldn't give up". I was telling myself that, but I won't deny it gave me a chill.

Cutting my head off of my body isn't something that I can swallow certainly. I went through too much since last year. I have been living as homeless. But no longer I'm able to cry. I didn't get hard as stone, but either I can't laugh! I became strong but the smile has gone. This lost wealth of my existence was too expensive. I sense that I turned into a lonely dragon. Locked in a cave and got forbidden to touch the sky, but its lamina skin gets thicker by time and no arrow and blade can pass those stoned armors.

I got stuck on a bumpy road, upsides down caused me many damages, but I can't lose. Going to Persis was madness and my life was already a whole mess so it wouldn't frighten me. Dying in the middle of nowhere was even worse. So I would choose home.

I looked into her eyes, they were shining like diamonds in the darkness of life. "Before coming here I had some information about the situation, I had received a message from Rabin," I told her.

We were on the way going to the horses when she said, "So you made up your mind already, and anyway I can't change it. Even destiny knows how much stubborn you are, tell me about your plan, I will help."

When we reached the horses, cuddled them. They were scared but didn't go that far. As we made the decision mounted up and did not stop in another guesthouse anymore. Until the next day afternoon. We arrived at the checking gate of persis. They used to allow other people to pass quickly but stopped us. Of course for being armed. I was similar to someone who just came back from the battlefield.

"Show your badges", he looked at me suspiciously.

Oria took her badge out and said, "Here, she is my cousin from Lortha".

I grinned this smart bunny knew that I have Lorthian citizenship.

"She is my guest for a while", she added.

"Show your identity", he darted his green eyes to mine. I handed him my badge.

"Cila, is that your name?" He said and a smile tagged on his face. Then gave me back my golden badge. Cila my name in Lorthian language. Father guessed I may use it one day!

We passed the gate and got to an inn. I had to hide my face under my hood when we entered in order not to get recognized by anyone. Unlike before the rulers had sent guards all over the streets and even narrow lanes. Those bastard royals believed him.

The city was in chaos, the atmosphere filled in heavy gray and dead. I could feel it. I had traveled a long time and was far a world that I could then feel how it changed from peace to fear. So far I was thinking that all these people were thinking that I'm about to kill them all! But why? Why did all this happen to me? Who is this hidden enemy? Why would he or she plot against me?

No longer were these people those who I used to narrate the stories, made them cry and laugh at the same time. Faces were different compared to past, rage, fear, and hatred, I could feel that those disgusting feelings are mostly about me, just because of all these lies which minster have been spreading. He has been misleading them all. Strangely, I can't cognize why and when he filled his heart with hatred towards me. If he has any problem with me why he didn't let me know about it first. He even didn't treat me badly before!

The next morning we walked out again. After getting stopped by guards two times in the streets I decided to go out at night. Oria was shaking at that time because she knew if I get caught they will cut off my head in the middle of the city, but fortunately, they didn't recognize my face. They were new I guess, thus, I was lucky.

It was night and I was beside the window watching snowfall when Oria enter the room and said, "I met aunt Shouka and she said she will send your message to Anahid, I'm going to get the answer tomorrow."

I walked to her and grabbed her hand. She was playing with her life because of me and it reminds me of the time Zia shielded him to save me. While I was holding her hands I told her, "having a sister like you is a great blessing that not everyone can receive, now let's have sit so I'll tell you my plan for meeting our fathers."

I dragged her to bed and she sat beside me. She attempted to look eager but I could discover the fear in her eyes and the forced hint of a smile at the corner of her lips. But real sisters save each other. No matter what the danger or how big is, they would become each other's armor. And Anahid wouldn't bear that marriage. I was sure.

"Do you remember when we were kids how we helped Anahid to escape from the kitchen by using the sewer?"

Nodded and said, "We are going to enter from there".

"Yes awesome you just shot the point, the sewer has two branches, one goes under the royal prison and then to the river. there is a metal cap under the prison but guards are our problem, but with that sleeping potion, you have given to Shouka our problem is going to be solved, after that we have only three minutes before guards get changing post and they may see us. We should surely avoid that, at that time city is more empty than any other times, so there is no other option if we waste this one".

"But what if everything goes wrong??" she said with Discomfort and anxiety.

"We must try-hard, before doing anything we shall consult with our fathers. If things went wrong we must do plan B and that is escaping without planning, we mustn't die now. Nothing is estimated in our current situation."

"So you are telling me that we got stuck in a huge mess and to get rid of we shall give it a shot and risk on your life, Asaya you know that what they would do if they capture you, they will cut off your damn head in front of our eyes". She cleared.

"Yes, you're so straight", I gulped, screaming that I know but this way I can save two of my sisters. Anahid knows her big brother. The one that I didn't know exist at all. The one I thought is a spy of Roma. The one I called Mr. Weirdo. I couldn't say how the fool and thick-skull I am. And the problem is that I'm not afraid of death anymore although I'm not ready to bear it yet.

"Asaya because this ain't a damn joke, I can't lose you", her tears rolled down her pale cheek. I knew what she was indicating. By losing Zia she spent tough days.

"I know this isn't a joke, but I don't know what's going on, why would he declare that I killed king Sheed? I must find the reason if I want to fight him back, if I give damn care to what he wants then I'm the loser and my head soon will be hanged on the gate to become a lesson". She nodded in agreement, but I couldn't convince her, she gaped at my excuse.

She rose, "I'm going to get foods and I will be back soon, please return as fast as possible after visiting the tomb, don't make me worried about the grave". Still with a frown on her face left the room and shut the door behind her. The much that I thought she may break the lock!
